The applecore panini was delicious. They really nailed the combo of ingredients on the head with this sandwich. On a cold Vermont day sitting in the back next to the wood-burning stove with a local pint and this panini is a great way to spend your lunch.

My hubs and I absolutely loved this place when we visited Stowe/Waterbury back in November. It was the first and last place we went on our trip. This luncheonette is attached to the Cold Hollow Cider Mill and is across from the Cider Mill shop, so when you are done eating you can walk off the calories and lighten your wallet as well. The menu is simple and highlights the local ingredients the area is famous for such as apples, cheese, and hard cider. I had a bacon and apple panini which was delightful and paired it with the hard apple cider which they have on tap and serve in special cider mill glasses. I loved the hard cider so much we bought 6 bottles to take home. I would have liked more, but they were out of the refillable growlers. Maybe next time…

Wow. As others have said, the Apple Core panini is outstanding. It might be the best panini I’ve ever had. No kidding. Get. It. Yum!

Friendly staff, great menu(not huge, but a good variety), and despite being busy, our food came out quickly. I had the chicken pesto panini and I highly recommend it. Whether you sit indoors or outside, make this one of the places you stop while in town. Bonus: the cider mill is right next door and you can get some great cider donuts for dessert.

Food is good but the young lady at the counter was rude and because of that we will probably not return

Cute cute cute! Only had a hard cider because we missed lunch, but the menu looked great and place smelled yummy! Must come back for lunch!

I really want to give more but I think I may have just had an off meal here. Waited 15 mins for an apple core panini. It came out hard, crusty and burnt in many places. The bacon inside was undercooked and the apple overcooked. A disappointing experience. The 4 stars are for the cider, not the food. But I’ll try them again if I’m back in the area.

What an excellent lunch stop! Visiting the cider mill today, we stopped in here for a quick lunch. The sandwiches were absolutely delicious! We ordered the apple bacon panini(I forget it’s actual name) and the turkey sandwich. Both were really good. I had wished the apples were a bit more cooked, because it was a very chewy panini, but that was a small thing. The turkey was fresh, sliced turkey rather than deli meat which was great at well. The staff was also super friendly. I especially got along with Vinny, the friendly tuxedo cat that greeted us at one point. This definitely is a place to try if you want to grab a yummy lunch on the go.

Stopped in to grab a bit because we really wanted the cider donuts from next door. Was a good little lunch spot that also sells local Beers/wine & spirits. Food: We ordered the Turkey Reuben and Chicken Cordon Bleu wrap. The panini was the hit. Their bread is fresh and warmed meats are so much more impressive than the wrap. While the wrap was good, their panini’s are where its at. Décor: Clean, couple of cozy tables and chairs. Service: You order at the counter and they give you a number and bring your food for you. Price: About $ 7 – 9 for each meal. Other: Make sure to go next door to get a cider donut.

So, another tourist joint I thought. I was pleasanty surprised to find out otherwise. The tomato soup was great with the fresh baked potato bread. The turkey reuben sandwich did not disappoint — my pickey eater husband was delighted. I ordered the Apple Core Sandwich because I wanted something lighter. This was one of the best meals on our trip. The bacon was the best I’ve ever had. The chef shared that the bacon was sourced from Green Mountain Smokehouse. This restaurant serves farm to table so everything was fresh. There’s also a tasting brewery — looked like a good selection. I highly recommend this eatery. You will not be disappointed. Great service. The only complaint I have is that all the tables were dirty, and we had the ask to have ours wiped down. It’s probably because a large crowd just left. I’m not decreasing stars because of a dirty table. This place is great. Also, for the quantity and quality of food, the prices cannot be beat.

Wine tasting was GREAT! I throughly enjoyed all the wines I tasted. A lot of unique but wonderful Vermont flavors you wouldn’t get anywhere else. $ 10 for 7 wines to taste. Pretty sweet deal

Was in search of a quick bite after the Ben and Jerrys tour and Unilocal led us here. Before we reached our intended destination, we were distracted by «cider donut» signs. Turns out The Apple Core was in the same parking lot as the Cold Hollow Cider Mill… match made in heaven. Back to the review. We ordered the Apple Core panini, which contained bacon, Granny Smith Apple, and cider jelly. Perfectly grilled crisp crust. You’ll be amazed. Also had the bratwurst/vegetable soup and chili. Both were excellent but were overshadowed by the panini. Enjoy!

I went with my family here in our way to Stowe. We ‘yelped’ and found this gem of place. The food was delicious. Two things. Apple core panini & Chicken Pesto(Duh!!) And my kids loved their mac & cheese too. We left the place leaving our tummies very happy.

Found this place completely by accident as we were looking for lunch on a bit of a road trip through Vermont. We had some lovely sandwiches and some fruit lemonade. Our daughter had a toasted cheese sandwich that met her approval too. There is a wine, cider and beer shop in the front too. They do wine tasting if you fancy a sample and also have some craft beers on draft.

The cordon bleu wrap was great. You could tell that they took great care in preparing the food. It was all so fresh. I wish I could eat like that everyday. Also very cute & laid back atmosphere.

Delicious sandwiches! We took ours to-go and enjoyed them outside on the awesome gliding bench-tables!!! Their bread was especially amazing and fluffy.

Get the apple core panini. Trust me. It’s perfectly made, warm, fresh apples complementing the cheese and bacon. Sourdough on the panini is the best pairing. The service by the staff waiting the tables is amazing. The cheerful blonde lady made our trip there. So friendly! Cider in a reg glass is $ 5($ 7 for a nice souvenir glass). The sweet potato wheat bread was fresh & soft in the ham and swiss– the Vermont seeded mustard was awesome. They wrapped up our leftovers when done. There is also a cider tasting today we will hit up. Clean and neat place, cool quotes on the wall. It has a farm-hippie vibe, if you can imagine it. Will definitely be back!

Nice place to stop for lunch. Very casual and friendly. While we were there, an artist was painting a pair of old work boots on the floor. Very cool. The folks who work there were friendly and helpful. You can eat inside or out. I had a #9, roast beef florentine panini with onions and peppers that was yummy. And I’ll definitely be back. I only live a couple miles away.

Stopped by the luncheonette after exploring the cider mill and store. I love when restaurants use local and fresh ingredients in their food. I ordered a half portion of the BLT on the sweet potato bread, which was a great deal. It also came with a refreshing side salad of mixed greens and shredded carrots with a tasty homemade vinaigrette. The BLT was absolutely delicious! The bacon was perfectly salty and almost sweet because of the richness. The garlic mayo was amazing as well. To top it all off, the sweet potato bread… thick cut slices of this scrumptious bread just sent this BLT over the top. Highly recommend it if you ever find yourself at the cider mill!

Amazing service, great food. The turkey reuben was so perfect. The mac and cheese could use some black pepper, but definitely delicious with local cheddar. Someone at the next table got the chili and I almost strained my neck when it went by. It smelled amazing! Definitely a worthwhile stop for lunch!
