A great grocery store for locals who want fresh produce from the area every week. The restaurant serves the best breakfast in either Oxford or Water Valley. We miss the Sunday breakfast and hope to see it return someday. Lunch consists of their unique sandwiches and salads, always fresh and tasty. A different hot plate lunch special is offered daily.

Wonderful little grocery and café centrally located right on Main Street. My wife and I stayed in Water Valley for several days, and ate breakfast there every day. Everything was delicious and fresh. The pan fried chicken for lunch was especially good, accompanied with field peas and snap beans. The catfish was also great, fried perfectly. Lots of interesting and delicious pre-made foods, prepared fresh daily, in the refrigerated case. The jalapeño pimiento cream cheese spread was terrific. We bought enough to last us on our four day drive back home. Alexe, the owner, and Dixie, the chef, are friendly and personable, and do a wonderful job. Next time we’re in Water Valley, we’ll be back for sure! Be sure to get there early for lunch if you want the chicken or catfish. They sell out quickly. But even if you miss it, the other lunch choices are also tasty.

Lunch is great. They actually make fried bologna sandwiches a good thing. Breakfast is my favorite meal here.

A charming and unexpected restaurant and grocery in downtown Water Valley. As a resident of Oxford, MS, I would love to have something like this. Much of the produce is local, and the prices are very reasonable. Baked goods are delicious, there’s even a meat and cheese fridge case. Also frozen casseroles and hormone-free, happy pork products. There’s also a nice selection of local beers(what little we have), grains, dried fruits, and healing oils from MS folks. Breakfast is excellent(although 8 – 10 on weekends, so wake up early) and again, priced affordable for poor graduate students like me. The sausage gravy and biscuits were OUTSTANDING and definitely can be split between two people. Give this place your money instead of overpriced stuff in Oxford! And get a cookie on the way out.

Truly loved this place — lots of interesting items, case full of pre-made casseroles, a very charming and pretty little store with an eatery at the back and a great deli case. The sandwiches were yummy, and the hoop cheese I bought didn’t last long. If I lived closer, I’d be a regular.

BTC = «be the change.» Charming small town store and eatery featuring local dairy and produce food items. We enjoyed a breakfast of grits, sausage, eggs, fresh made biscuits with house made jam. Very nice.

Can’t say a bad thing about this adorable café and grocery. Specialty items, fresh farm-to-table fare when in season, and a dang good biscuit and gravy. The owners have really made a great little place to stop in for coffee and breakfast or lunch, and find some specialty items you might not find on the shelves of the grocery store down the street.(since there is only one other grocery store in town.) Love the fact they have Zapp’s chips, a specialty meat and cheese counter and year-round fresh vegetable offering from the local community. It’s a great place for to sneak a peak at local color, a friendly smile and grab an amazing slice of Cora’s Hummingbird Cake.

Wow! Local grass-fed beef, organic chicken, free-range chicken eggs, a variety of casseroles, soups, salads, and ice cream all made fresh on the premises. A FABulous sandwich counter. Crazy exotic sodas, mix-match your own 6-pack of specialty beers. Oxford’s Bottletree Bakery breads without the hassle of going to the Square! Cakes, pies and cookies baked daily on the premises! Exotic cheeses, Brown Dairy milk and butter. Yokna Bottoms Farm produce. This store is HEAVEN! And it keeps getting better! Kiss My Face lotions, toothpaste, Dr. Bronner’s soaps. It’s like they designed the store for me. Add to that a sincere commitment to supporting local farmers and you have the best and freshest produce each season can provide, much of it organic and/or pesticide free(and clearly labeled as such). ANDTHEYDELIVER! EVENTOOXFORD! I love this store and I can get pretty much everything but my paper products here.

Has some of the harder-to-find items, such as King Arthur Bread Flour, various spices(often offered whole). Not a place where you can do your everyday grocery shopping(not enough selection of basics for that), but a good stop for specialty items. They also have a sandwich counter, some tables, a magazine rack, and a kids’ play area.
