This location is very good. They pile on the shredded cheese! Portions are bigger than Taco Bell but they are also more expensive. As far as quality, there is no comparison in their meat, cheese, shells, veggies etc. Everything is fresh! The beef is actually beef. Their tea is very very good as well. My only complaint is I don’t care for their refried beans. I usually love bean burritos but here I stick to the tacos or nachos, which are excellent.

Who doesn’t love the sodium filled tacos and burritos that this place makes. They’re just a mouthful of joy in every bite. I like this place because the staff is cool and just chill in taking care of you. I left my cell phone here and came back only to find that they stored it in a safe place for me until I got back and retrieved it.

For what this place is– its awesome. Good food. Good prices. Good staff. The taco bell across the street is now my second choice when i have a hankering for fast mexican food. I feel like its cleaner eating. I don’t ever really feel guitly about eating it afterwards like a do Taco Bell. Its real fod and you can tell Ive never gone through the drive thru. I usually dont if the dining room is open at any food joint. I don’t mind their little menu– they do what they do and do it well. Their sweet tea is just awesome. Some days it might be too sweet for some people. Watching them work the cheese was fun when i was waiting on a big order. Cutting off huge chunks of this mega block with this totally gnarly knife and shredding it. I saw some reviews saying this location isnt the best of the chain. I have no reference on that but its damn good here on Watauga rd.

Eat here about once a month. The best thing I love about taco casa is they give you a gigantic amount of shredded cheese. Today I got the taco salad. It was good. The shell really doesn’t have a flavor but it is flour so I don’t really expect much. Love the taco sauce and usually their fountain drinks are crisp a lots of ice which I prefer. I hate fast food places that have flat drinks with no ice hardly. I can say their taco lite is really great. They are a little pricey compared to other fast food Mexican places but I think they make up for that in cheese!

I’m sure plenty of real foodies like myself will want to punch me in the face and that’s warranted with this review, but seriously when it comes to fast food and Mexican food, I can’t get enough of Taco Casa. I had always been a big fan of Taco Bell when it came to fast food, but I love Taco Casa even more. My favorite items are: Chilada– A steamed flour tortilla filled ground beef and refried beans, smothered in red enchilada sauce, melted cheddar cheese and finished with black olive slices. Seriously doesn’t sound like much and i thought the same thing the time i came here and tried, but it is amazingly delicious. They have an awesome red sauce, which my wife and I are very picky about, but both of us love Taco Casa’s variation. Bean and Cheese Burrito– Nothing special, but well executed. Taco– Deep fried corn tortilla filled with ground beef, shredded lettuce and cheddar cheese– I don’t know what it is because i’ve always loved fast food soft tacos better than hard everywhere except here they are so damn good! Highly recommended. Sweet Tea– One of the better versions i’ve had is served at Taco Casa.

This Taco Case in Watauga is very rude I over heard a manager talking bad about others employees and the manager Jason. I had to go inside to see her name bage Tasha… So unprofessional and then on top of that they charge for water hmmm… they need training on customer service and maybe turning off her headset before talking about customers. You have got to be kidding me. I finally decided to try Taco Casa since I was looking for cheap Mexican food of the drive-thru variety. I didn’t expect it to be fabulous, but I figured it must be decent for what it is since the drive-thru here is always packed. I ordered a spicy bean burrito and nachos with jalapeños. There was no sauce whatsoever on my burrito, just beans and cheese. It was so dry I couldn’t even finish it. Since I had never eaten here before, I don’t know if «spicy» meant it was supposed to have sauce on it or not, but either way it still definitely wasn’t spicy. The nachos were also a huge disappointment. I got a large cup of hot cheez whiz that had no spices whatsoever, and no jalapeños either. The chips were stale and gross. So I paid $ 5 for a meal that I couldn’t even eat, which means that Taco Casa fails even the low standard I would expect for fast food.

If you’re lactose intolerant, stay home. Man, do they load up the cheese(and the meat) on their tacos. Which, luckily for me, is just how I like them! Look, it’s fast food, but of the fast food Mexican options, this one tastes the most like real food to me. No dog food paste in the tacos. Real cheese, real sour cream.

Been to taco casa restaurants for years, Been to all in Tarrant county, this one is the worst I’ve ever been to, not up to taco casa standards, tacos stale, no cheese compared to other rest., even wrote them telling them because that is the one that is closest to where I live, I will no longer go to that one, and will drive to another or go to don Pablo’s before going there again Terrible, disappointment

Ok first off I would like to say I have been going to Taco Casa for a few years now. Normally the food is good but last night was the last time my wife and I will ever go. We ordered our food to go and while I was eating my super nachos I found a baby roach in my beans. Took the food back(including the roach) to get my money back and was told I have to come back to see the general manager. From a business standpoint I feel the situation was not handled correctly and from a personal standpoint it was gross. Taco Casa has lost me as a customer.

Dear Taco Casa, I love you and have been a dedicated fan of your sweet tea since I moved to Watauga but next time you decide that your large sweet tea is worth $ 2.14, I will divorce you and marry McDonald’s. Don’t make me marry McDonald’s. With love but not extra money, Christina P. S. If your large sweet tea is $ 2.14 but your galloon is $ 3.24, why buy just one cup!?!

We have go to their drive thru at least twice a month for the past five years. It started out great, but the service has steadily declined over the past year. First it was a problem with wanting sauce in a cup instead of on burritos. We like to dip. Simple enough. They just didn’t seem to understand what we wanted. Then it seemed like they had trouble understanding our order in general. We always order the 10 burrito/taco special, with a cup of cheese, and two cups of green sauce. How hard can that be? Next they started skimping on the sauce. I order two cups of the green, and the contents of both added up to just a bit more than single complete cup. Last night was the worst yet. The order taker sounded like she didn’t want to be there. My wife ordered two specials. 10 tacos and 10 burritos. No sauce on the burritos, two cups of green sauce on the side. When the order taker read it back, she got the tacos right. It took a few times to get the burritos with no sauce on them. Then she said one cup hot sauce and one cup medium sauce, ok. We let that go. It was raining and we wanted to shut the window. At the window we realized that we did have enough cash to get two cups of cheese, which we also order all the time. Again, we like to dip. Rather than add it to our order, the order taker said to my wife, «You’re not from here, are you?» So my wife told her where we were from, then asked again for the cheese. We quickly paid and went home. Home. Dry. Hungry. We opened the sacks. The tacos were nice and crunchy still, but a little short on cheese. The burritos were good. But then there was the issue of the sauce. Not even a quarter of the cup full, and one was green, one was red? Really? Is that place gonna go under if we get a full cup of green sauce? Then there were the two cups of cheese we ordered. It was two little salsa containers of shredded cheese! We asked for the same cheese sauce we always ask for, and we paid a dollar for two tablespoons of shredded cheddar? I don’t know what is wrong with this place, maybe it’s government run now. They clearly don’t care what you want. No matter what you order, even if you have been ordering it for the past five years, they will give you whatever they feel like. Now I’m not saying that they should know me personally and make something special just because it’s me. I’m saying that this is unacceptable to act like customers don’t matter. If it wasn’t for customers, there would be no business. We have decided that even though we like Taco Casa food, we are done with this Taco Casa location. We don’t care if we have to drive an extra hour to get to one that’s worth it. At this time any other Taco Casa has got to be better than this. I hope that they do read this and begin to care.

The house of Cheese. That is almost all there is to say about this place. Food is good but to be honest it is a little expensive. Their menu is limited but there are some decent choices. If your looking for cheap mexican food then look somewhere else. If you are looking to get an emnourmous amount of cheddar cheese along with a little indigestion, you have come to the right place. Make sure to ask for no olives. Who really puts olives on mexican food anyway?

FOOD: If heaven was nachos, it would be Taco Casa nachos. Taco Casa has it down, they have 7 items on the menu. Just 7. No need to think, oh what can I get?, because there are only 7 items to choose from. And if you are really, really, really hungry or are trying to win some contest on how you can eat 7 items and not barf, then this is your place. The nachos are fantastic. Good meat. But the best part are that the chips are tough guy chips that are not wussy and break under the pressure of nacho cheese, meat, beans and sour cream. They can hold their own and then some. They come in a little boat and they give you a good size amount. You can share. Well you can and you don’t have to share. I also throw in that if you have a Taco Casa attack of hunger while at work, and are close by, but you know you have to drive through. They are kind enough to seperate the queso, tomatoes, sour cream and meat, so you can actually recreate the genius of the nachos back at the office with no sogginess. GENIUS! ATMOSPHERE: It’s a fast food joint, no candle light dinners here. Go in your t-shirt and flip flops, you know you want to. These restaurants have not left the 70’s. Only a place where BRIGHT Orange and BRIGHT yellow can reign is a Taco place. Well and maybe Whataburger, but whatever. SERVICE: The service is good. They make your tacos with lots of cheese and serve it with a smile because you know all those people are eating those 7 items too. There are free drink refills, so don’t panic, and they have the ice that is like little mini cubes. It’s a few steps away from a slushie. But slushies are a whole other topic. **I am not a tea drinker, BUT, I hear the sweet tea is the bomb if you like that kind of thing. I will stick to pop myself. Enjoy!
