Had the Pacific Cod and fries. Added the salad bar. Everything was fresh and delicious. My husband had the halibut and would have like a larger portion.

Good east for a reasonable price. A rare thing in Denali. And the people there were very friendly.

Not a good first experience with seafood in Alaska. I ordered the salmon tacos. The tortillas were a little stale, the salmon was overcooked, as was the rice, and the beans looked and tasted like they came out of a can. Overall the tacos were bland. My buddy got the Alaskan Sampler, expectedly expensive, but not at all worth the money. It came with halibut, cod, salmon, and calamari. The food came out and it was all deep fried. Deep fried salmon. The tomato soup wasn’t seasoned well either. I don’t want to bash any restaurant but this place needs some work before I would come back. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because the service was friendly.

We shared a combo platter of halibut, cod, coconut salmon and calamari. It was all very good! Super crisp and tasty. The calamari was very tender, the halibut was our favorite and the salmon was different with a touch of sweetness from the coconut. Over the top friendly service. Was not a fan of the paper plates and plastic forks! Will definitely return for some tacos.

Halibut tacos were wonderful, small and expensive but delicious. Salsa was wonderful. Nice beer selection. My sister who lives in Alaska says everything is expensive.

Rule number one: don’t mislead or lie to your customers. My family came in for dinner, the menu looked inviting I opted for the«all you can eat» taco salad as advertised on the menu board and printed menus. Imagine my surprise when I asked for seconds on the beans and meat to be told«sorry, all you can eat is only for the taco fixings, not the proteins». Since I assume taco fixings are always«all you can eat» i would suggest this is just a classic bait and switch. I have no idea how these folks get away with this nonsense, except that this is a remote vacation spot and visitors don’t take the time to complain I have no patience or tolerance for this and although my habit is to only write positive reviews for places we like, I’m making this big exception to express my displeasure.

The seafood was alright. Expensive and minimal. Like every other fish I’ve ordered in Alaska. BUT the carnitas tacos and burrito were great. Prices for tacos were reasonable. Service was fast and friendly.

I was really disappointed with this place. As we arrived in Denali I saw this place and immediately got excited. It took about 10 days before we finally made it in. I ordered the fish and chips and my girlfriend ordered a chicken burrito. For a state with such a huge fishery, the portion size was pathetic. Two pieces of fish the size of two fingers. And expensive also. It wasn’t just Denali expensive, it was Denali expensive plus two dollars. Within an hour of eating, my girlfriend spent 3 plus hours vomiting and shitting because her burrito got her sick ruining the rest of our evening. Worst dining experience in Denali.

Ate here while visiting the last frontier. I got a chicken burrito and my bf got some fish and chips. My burrito tasted decent, but about 20 minutes post consumption I started getting nauseous. I thought maybe I ate to much. Over the next 2 hours it progressed to severe stomach burning and eventually vomiting my entire burrito. I was sick the next day from dry heaving. Well that was my experience, so therefor no way will I eat there again. Now, my boyfriend got the fish and chips. It looked like burger King sized fried fish, not Alaskan fish. Aren’t chips, chips? Well it came with fries. Looked like nothing special. He was disappointed in his Alaskan seafood experience, as was I in my burrito experience.

Must say an excellent place to get excellent fish cooked properly with excellent flavor! Service excellent and would definitely go back again. Highly recommend going to this eatery that is consistent with quality and service. Will definitely stop here again when returning to Denali.

My husband found this restaurant and was craving fish and chips. After spending an entire day in Denali, it was great to be able to sit down and have a quick bite to eat. He ordered: 1) Alaskan Cod $ 12.99, 2 pieces. This was a bit pricey at only two pieces for some fried fish. Flavor was good though. 2) Tomato basil soup — this unfortunately was not good, it tasted like celery and carrot, came out lukewarm in a paper cup. It felt like it was an afterthought type of soup. Would not recommend this to you. It could’ve been directly from a canned soup.

Good delicious food. i liked the halibut better than the cod. You can tell by its price. its way more pricier than the cod. all in all. it was a good place to dine after a cold rainy snowy day in the national park. I should mention the service. the guy at the counter is super nice and friendly. service was fast:) Decent food good service nice ambience!

Way overrated! Had halibut and salad bar($ 18.99).(You get a choice of fries, salad bar or chowder.) This was two cigar-shaped pieces of fish and one trip to the salad bar with a saucer-sized plate.(Same deal with cod was $ 12.99.) Each piece of fish was quite tasty but only 3 – 4 bites. I’m not at all a big eater and I could easily have eaten two orders. My wife and I were still hungry so we went down the road for coffee and dessert! Denali isn’t cheap but this place was not worth what you got.

The food here was good. We ordered fried halibut and fried cod. They were nice and crispy. If the food wasn’t so expensive(which is understandable given the location and the limited time that they can operate), I could probably snack on that all day. We also had the vegetables soup. It was very tasty as well.

We ordered cod & chips(fish and fries were both cooked PERFECTLY) — would have given 5 stars based on that alone. Will come back for the fish & chips. However, the clam chowder was no good. I’m a big clam chowder person, and this chowder fell way below expectations. It completely lacked basic clam chowder flavor. If I was blindfolded and expecting potato soup, however, I would have been content ;) I hope it was just a bad batch and this is not their«norm” — but I will not order clam chowder here again. Basic salad bar is good, veggies were fresh & good– will order that again. Bottomless soda. We experienced good, fast service. Everything in Denali is a bit extra expensive. That being said, if the clam chowder was better, we would give this place 5 stars.

Food was great. We expected to pay more because of the remote location. Service was great. Nice view of the mountains.

The fried halibut was nice and flaky and the seafood & corn chowder was ok. Skip the corn fritters(bland taste and over fried/burnt) and the fries tasted fishy(you would think the cook would have fried the potatoes in a different oil batch than the fish!). The prices are high but it’s to be expected given that it’s in Denali, Alaska and there are not a lot of food restaurants to select from.

Pros: good customer service, relaxed atmosphere, fun décor(looks a bit like a ship’s galley) Cons: a little pricey My wife and I were visiting Alaska as part of our anniversary vacation. Denali was on the list of places we wanted to go, so we stopped in here for a bite to eat after driving into the area. The place felt nice. Good vibe. The décor was simple, long tables with benches. Much the same way old time ship galleys are represented in film. The cashier was prompt, helpful, and very friendly. Our food was freshly made. While the menu combinations sounded intriguing, was disappointed with my food choice. My wife was unimpressed by her dish with one notable exception: the corn fritters. Delicious. While the other food was merely passable, this one side dish stole the show. Would definitely give this place a second chance with some other menu option.

Very good fish n chips & good burgers. Hand battered coconut salmon was good, cod was excellent, sides were all homemade. savvy(14 yo) said it was the best meal so far, hence the rating.

We tried this place and found out it was a good choice. Our fish tasted very good and had bottomless sodas and a few beers on tap. This place is small and tends to be popular. Don’t worry about the prices since everything in Denali is expensive. I would eat seafood here versus at the hotels.
