Drinks were good, food not so much. The salmon was white. The fish and chips were greasy/slimy and the vegetables were out of a bag with no seasoning. It was a good atmosphere and great service, but the food was not worth half of what we paid.

The cocktails are great! I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and charming underground brick ambiance.(I don’t live in the area and am always leery of small town pubs — you know, expecting bad drinks and really greasy food.) This place is connected to a restaurant upstairs(Denhart’s) and I think they serve the same food. The fried pickles are the best I’ve had in any state, ever. Also, they have home-mad blue cheese salad dressing. If you like a good cocktail, go here. The drinks were blended well and didn’t have the«too strong cheap vodka» flavor that I would expect at a Midwestern pub.

This place is a gem. Great food outstanding drinks and a great place to stop into. Service is always good and it’s a must do while in Washington. Sweet potato fries and the bankers club sandwich will take you all the way.

Love this place. The Bartender rocks! Great Burgers and Wings. Not to mention $ 5 Martinis on Wednesday or Fridays!

Friendly staff and owners, this is probably one of the few places to go in Washington, to enjoy a nice dinner and cocktails. I only wish they’d switch out their draft beers every once in a while!

The C Note has the best Wings and Blue Cheese I have EVER had. I bet I swing in or get take out 3 or 4 times a month. There is pretty much just 1 girl who works at the place. I guess she has some help on Friday and Saturday nites but she’s mostly on her own. She does a wonderful job!

We didn’t eat here, but we did enjoy a few beverages on a recent Saturday night. It’s located in an old Bank on the historic Washington Square. It’s kind of cool that you have to enter downstairs(Cheers-like), but there are window and it doesn’t feel like a basement at all. It is smoke free, and the service is very very friendly. The beer selection is very limited, but the three beers on tap were great selections(Blue Moon, Bass, Erdinger). Excellent beer choices, especially since they only have three — I was very impressed that none of the domestic macro brews made the cut. We looked at the dinner menu, and it was mostly sandwiches — though a bit more ‘creative’ than your typical pub fare. And I don’t think there was anything on the menu over $ 8 — maybe the super nachos, but that’s it. Very reasonable prices. I’d go back in a minute, I only wish they were open later!
