I have been using them through all of their changes of ownership for almost 25 years. Always satisfied with the work. Prices are comparable to other Dupont cleaners. Never experienced any of the horror stories some other folks posted.

Update 11⁄7: Lost my $ 92 Brooks Brothers shirt almost 2 months ago, still have not found it or paid me. No one has EVER called me. I was given the number of a boss, he never answers, I leave messages, he never calls. I go in, they repeatedly write down my name and number and details about the shirt and say they’ll call me and no one ever does, not once. I keep going in, keep calling, nothing. Despicable company. I’ve filed a complaint with the city, and will leave every negative review possible. Even one of the workers told me the business is owned by «bad people.»

I wish I could give this place a stone cold ZERO. This was possibly the worst experience I’ve ever had. I needed to get a bridesmaid dress altered so I took it here since its nearby. During the alteration, I asked the lady a simple question and she yelled at me and made me cry. That should have been a red flag right there but I was on a time crunch so i continued. THEN, I came back 2 weeks later to pick up the dress and they informed me that they LOST my dress. This was 3 days before the wedding. They provided me 3 numbers to call to inquire further about my dress. After about 20 phone calls, I finally reached someone who informed me they had found the dress. The next day when I went to pick it up, I told the lady I was very very dissatisfied with the service and I demanded a discount for the trouble. She held my dress and said«No. Full price or no dress». I begrudgingly paid full price and could not wait to get home to give the cleaners an awful review. I have NOIDEA how this place is still in business. From crying to losing my dress, I will never ever ever go back and you should not either.

One star instead of zero only because I am averaging three experiences. The first was great bc I had a hemming emergency and they took care of it quickly. Next I sent a bag of laundry to wash for the first time in my life(my mom would not approve!) I came to pick it up and they handed me a bag of men’s clothes insisting it was mine. I assured them it wasn’t and I pointed to another bag sitting on the floor because I could see some of my things in it. Sure enough it was labeled with a different name and phone number. Fast forward 6 months, I decided to give them another chance bc their alterations were good the last time(obviously I haven’t wash clothes with them since) I give them 10 days notice and explain that I need to pick up an altered dress on the Friday morning at the latest, not the evening, because I will need the dress early Saturday morning. I come Friday at 1:30pm and she looks at me and says«you said Saturday». I re explained our initial conversation and the second woman remembered it clearly. Moral of the story is that the dress was not here. She actually pointed in my face and called me a liar– I kid you not. «You Liar.» Was the direct quote. What a lovely way to start my day, especially considering I was headed to work as the Director of Guest Relations– maybe I should call one of my guests a liar and see what happens… Needless to say I will not be back.

NEVERGOTOTHISCLEANER!!! They damage your clothes and do not take responsibility for it. 1) buttons on my very expensive NEW winter coat were damaged 2) when I asked them to repair the buttons, they damaged the coat(stained the coat) 3) it took over 3 months to try to fix the stain but in the end, the stain was still there and I can’t wear the coat… it was a NEW coat I wore for ½ season The owner was NOT apologetic and I still had to pay for the dry cleaning…

I love Westpark Cleaners. They are always really helpful and usually know my phone number when I walk in and get my things right away. I’ve also used them for tailoring on many occasions. One time, I took them a new pair of jeans and my beloved, falling apart old ones, and they cut the new ones to fit exactly like my old pair. Excellent!

DONOTUNDERANYCIRCUMSTANCESUSETHISDRYCLEANINGSERVICE! I have now twice been bait and switched by these people when it comes to alterations. The first time I was told a small patch in a pair of khakis would be around $ 12 — 15. I was charged $ 24 and given no explanation as to the price difference quoted. I then had a small hole in the pocket of the same khakis, barely enough for change to fall through and was charged $ 6 after being assured it would only be a couple of dollars. After politely disputing the price, and asking why I was being charged that amount, I was told I could just leave the pants there and that, «You don’t sew, that’s why you come here». I then told the woman to just charge me and that I wouldn’t be using the service again at which point she continued to argue with and lecture me. Save yourself the stress and go across the street to Georgetown Valet.

Being able to drop something off on Tuesday and have it Friday is like magic, considering my former dry cleaner took over 7 days to clean my clothes. And these ladies claned and tailored them! It was 14 $ to fix my incredibly long seven jeans, which are apparently made for giants. I felt like this was a fair price to pay, although I’d have to check out competitors to find out. Really its location and times are just convinent to where I work. They’ll also fix your shoes.

Evidently there are two Westpark cleaners, one on I street and one here on P street. I come to the P street for it’s good location, in the same little strip mall as Soho coffee. You can drop off a shirt and have it back in 2 to 3 business days. It is run by some nice Asian-American ladies who are constantly sewing in the store front window. It’s a dollar twenty five to have a shirt laundered, which is pretty fair. My roommate uses these guys all the time. They’re open til 7 pm on weeknights and closed on Sunday.
