They were quick, professional and got my phone working better than expected. A second time, they thought somewhere else would do job better and sent me there.
If have a problem with phone or computer, they are my first choice for where to go.

My experience here was mixed. Last April I cracked my phone, and even though Ubreakifix didn’t have a replacement screen in stock they ordered one and installed it in a business day for a $ 15 overnight shipping fee. Everything was good and I was happy.
After a month, things started to go awry with the replacement screen. It would act up and stop working intermittently. Unfortunately, Ubreakifix didn’t communicate well about what they needed to do to get it working and how much time this would take. Here’s what happened: When I called them about the problem, they said to bring my phone in and that it might be a really simple fix. When I got to the store, they didn’t even look at the phone before saying I had to leave it with them. I was thinking, based on what they had said when I called, that they would try it out on the spot. I wasn’t able to part with the phone at that time, so I said I’d come back in a few days. When I did, they then said I would need to leave it for 24 hours. This time I had prepared to part with the phone for a few hours, but I wasn’t able to leave it for 24. I came back a third time and left the phone for 24 hours. Ubreakifix agreed the new screen was defective. Even though I’d paid for overnight shipping previously, this was no longer an option (the staff didn’t know why), so I had to wait a week for the replacement part to come in. When it did, they needed another 24 hours to install it. The first time around they had installed the screen the same day.
The second screen has worked fine for many months, but each avoidable visit to Ubreakifix wasted 20 minutes of my time in each direction, so about 80 minutes total. Had the staff communicated clearly from the start that I would need to leave my phone for 24 hours, I would have saved a lot of time. And after paying for overnight shipping on a product that ended up being defective, I was disappointed that Ubreakifix wouldn’t ship the replacement overnight as well.

I brought my MacBook Pro to uBreakiFix a couple of weeks after I had spilled coffee on it. The laptop was working except for a few keys on the keyboard so I was using a Bluetooth keyboard for the time being. However, I was set to travel soon so I decided to have the keyboard fixed since its a hassle to carry around the Bluetooth keyboard.
They said they would charge me 250 for the liquid spill cleaning. It turns out that the motherboard got really badly damaged from the spill so they replaced the entire motherboard free of charge because they wanted to ensure that my computer worked properly. They didn’t even ask me to pay the 250 for the cleaning.
I think it was very kind of them to do so. They are a responsible business that is serious about making sure their costumers are satisfied.

I cannot say enough great thinks about uBreakiFix! I dropped my laptop Sunday morning and brought it in to them (after calling Dell and being told that I would have to pay $ 170 to send it for repairs and wait 2.5 weeks) and they took it apart and put it back together for me… for free! There was no charge because they didn’t have to order any parts and I was able to pick it up on Tuesday afternoon. They were SO nice and extremely honest — I would recommend them to anyone any day of the week!

They did a fantastic job repairing my cracked cell phone screen a few months ago for a very reasonable price (better than other quotes I got). After that great experience, I decided to go to them again when my laptop’s apps started failing and I couldn’t figure out how to fix it on my own. I tried tons of online forums but couldn’t find a solution, so I gave up and brought in the laptop to the guys at uBreakiFix. They did a free assessment, and when I got a call back, it turned out the issue was simple update mixup on the laptop that was preventing apps from loading correctly, so they resolved it for free during the assessment. I really appreciated their quick turnaround and generous assistance. This is a great addition to Cleveland Park: so glad this place is near my apartment and will be sure to turn to them whenever I have computer/​phone issues.

My wife and I thought both our phones were broken. The told my wife about a settings issue that fixed her phone. That was free. They tried everything they could to fix my wet phone. They weren’t able to fix it but they also didn’t charge me so that made it not as bad. I would go there again for a battery replacement or other small fixes.

I would highly recommend uBreakIFix. Had spilled coffee on my macbook air couple of days ago. Took it the Apple Store, where they basically told me to buy a new one. The next day I found uBreakiFix on Unilocal and decided to try my luck. The lady that works there was amazing! She disassembled/​reassembled my computer and fixed the problem, checked everything and told me no cleaning or replacement of any parts was needed. The best part was the she did this for FREE! I am super thankful to her and other folks at uBreakiFix and would definitely recommend them to a friend.

I dropped my phone off and I got a call 30 mins later that it was ready. Great turnaround time!

Laptop was smashed in an motorcycle accident last summer. Called around to see about recovering data from hard drive — received estimates starting at $ 165 to transfer what’s readable to my own external hard drive. Walked into uBreakiFix only because it was open on Sunday.
Within 24hrs, they had removed and recased the internal hard drive from my broken laptop, such that it now functions like an external hard drive — an option not mentioned by the dozen small and large stores I’d called. All files are now accessible via a USB3 connection. Total price: $ 90.
Product: 100%. Service: 100%. Convenience: 100%. Value: 100%.

I just got my phone fixed it was the best experience ever. Fast, easy it was done is less than an hour. My phone looks better than when I got it out of the box. Good service. I would recommend this to everyone. I was even given a 29% discount on the glass protection and they applied it to my phone for me. This place really deserves the 5 stars. Go get ur screen fixed

I would not recommend this place to a friend. They use cheap parts, cause the phone more damage including hindering cell service, and charge high penalties if you try to come back. They also claim they don’t have the parts for your phone for an indefinitely amount of time.
Customer service is cordial and professional, so no complaints there. Quality of service to device is worse than I’ve received at mall kiosks in high-​crime neighborhoods.
uBreakiFix serviced a repair to my Samsung Galaxy S4 approximately 2 weeks ago. Within a week’s time I noticed several problems that were not on my phone prior.
NEW PROBLEMS
1. I continually lose cell service at random parts of the day. Right now is a 11pm on a Wednesday night on Capitol Hill and it’s not raining. And I have Verizon. Yet regardless if I’m out in Clifton, VA or McClean, VA or various parts of DC, sometimes I randomly and gradually lose service. My text messages wont send and I’ve received two voice mails in the last week without a missed call. None of these things happened prior to getting my phone fixed at uBreakiFix. I usually have to reboot my phone to get service back. And then I’m fine.
2. General lagging of all apps when opened or during usage
3. Some apps open with a large portion of the screen appearing completely black.
4. Regular messaging app no longer goes back to list screen by tapping on the top left corner arrow when inside a single chat message. The only way back is to use the back button on the lower right corner of the phone.
5. Rear facing camera has two black dots on the screen a millimeter in diameter often making it look like there is a large spot on someone’s face or dress.
6. Front facing camera has a large smudge that is a centimeter in diameter pretty much in the middle of the screen. It ruins all my pictures.
I was hesitant to take the device back to uBreakiFix because they did such a poor job the first time, what makes me think they’ll do any better the second time around? If they caused my phone to have way more problems than I did in the first place, it’s probably not a good idea to go back. Nonetheless, I called them twice last Thursday (today is the following Wednesday) with no answer and left a message with my name and number asking them to call me back. I never heard back.
Two days ago, a small one inch cracked formed at the top of the screen from no strenuous foul play. «Great,» I thought. Another testament to the poor quality of products they’re using to do repairs. I woke up this morning in a perfectly temperature controlled environment and the crack had grown across the screen and is now almost to the other side. When I told the employee, Will, that the crack was growing like a car windshield, he responded, «Yeah, that happens sometimes.» In my 9 years of being a smartphone user, never have a seen a crack grow like a car windshield. To me, this is proof they’re using cheap and most likely counterfeit glass to make repairs.
They charged me $ 179 to make this initial repair. That’s way more expensive than I’ve seen in the past. Even though I have all these new weird problems, the fact that I have a cosmetic crack means they will only give a 30% discount. Also, after finding out that I had these issues, Will claimed that they had no Samsung Galaxy S4 parts. And wont have any parts for an indefinite amount of time, possibly a month. Mind you, while I was talking to him I made no inflections in my voice to even suggest that this was not okay. Yet I guess regardless, they clearly don’t like to service repairs for customers who’ve had problems.
Lol. Ridiculous. Seriously.

I cannot recommend this place enough. My phone screen was so shttered that piece of it were just falling off The folks at apple said they had to wait for some calibration machine to get back started and I might have to wait as long as a week to get it fixed. As someone who uses their phone for work all day, this posed a huge challenge.
I went to their location (admittedly a bit skeptical) and was greeted promptly and efficiently. It took them less than two hours on a sunday afternoon to fix my iphone 5s and it was 30 bucks cheaper than apple.
Not only that, I left my ID in their store, and the supervisor ran after me to make sure I had that and an extra copy of the receipt.
They’re such first rate people and i cannot thank them enough for turning a stressful weekend into a blissful one.

I took a Macbook into uBreakiFix for water damage repair and was absolutely pleased with their service, pricing, friendliness and honesty. They tell you right upfront that you only pay if they can fix your computer and print you off a quote showing what you will have to pay for repairs.
Additionally, I wanted to order a battery from them from my Macbook, which I was able to get for a very competitive price. The service this business is invaluable and anyone that needs to have a repair done should go to this business.
If I ever have any issues with any electronics I have in the future, I will definitely be back.

I had an interesting experience at uBreakiFix. A bottle of nail polish fell from a shelf onto the corner of my iPad2 and broke the glass. Everything else was still working correctly. I brought it to uBreakiFix for repair ($ 129 at uBreakiFix versus $ 249 at Apple). The repair was completed and looked great. When I brought the iPad home, it had poor wireless reception and had to be very close to my wireless router to «see it.» I called uBreakiFix and they had seen this before — likely the wireless cable was torn during the repair. I brought it back and they reported that they replaced the suspect parts, but the wireless would still not work.
Here’s the interesting part…
I expected to go to the store and have to argue my case. Instead they (David worked with me on this) suggested that they replace my iPad with a refurbished model and get me one with 32 gb (mine has 16 gb). They ordered it for me and also applied (at no cost to me) a thin glass «overcoat» so that if the iPad falls, the overcoat will break but not the iPad glass. The refurbished iPad is working great.
While it was a hassle to go back and forth to their location, the team at uBreakiFix takes customer service seriously. They were really great about making me happy and lost money on this repair (I paid $ 129 for the repair and the refurbished iPad cost around $ 200). It’s how a company handles problems that makes them stand out and uBreakiFix did absolutely the right thing.

I dropped my iphone 6 on the cement and the screen shattered. On the recommendation of facebook friends I reached out to uBreakifix via email late Friday night and had a response first thing Saturday morning. We exchanged a few emails Saturday morning regarding the logistics of what I needed. I was informed that a screen would need to be ordered and it could take five business days to arrive. They had given me the most reasonable price quote and I appreciated their active communication so I didn’t mind waiting for the part to arrive. By Tuesday afternoon the screen arrived! I dropped it off and had it back within an hour. Overall great experience.

I couldn’t be happier with the service I got from Ubreakifix.
My first reaction to their quirky name and small store-​front (about the size of a neighborhood shoe-​repair store) was that they just fix Iphone screens and other minor fixes. Not the case. As their user-​friendly website shows, this shop provides a full range of hardware and software services, and at competitive prices. I called around to compare their costs for adding RAM to my computer, and these guys were the least expensive I could find after calling a few other computer stores in the area.
In the end I didn’t have time to get the RAM installed, but Martin and company brought my Mac Desktop software up to speed, all part of their free diagnostic. I thought for sure my computer was in need of new hardware, and that their «free diagnostic» would lead to a costly diagnosis, but they assured my I was good to go and explained how I can manage my computer’s settings in the future to avoid the problems I was having.
My advice to you: make sure your computer settings are on «automatic update» mode, but if like me you didn’t even know that was a thing, these guys will help you out and offer you a wide range of other fixes, in a quite friendly and hassle-​free environment.

Sadly, I’m way too familiar with this place. My daughter is obsessed with Frozen and last year hid a snowball in my macbook pro and later threw water on its replacement. The apple store told me that water damage wasn’t covered by applecare and that each laptop would cost $ 750 to fix.
By the time I got to Ubreakwefix I wasn’t too optimistic but I didn’t have much to lose. They ended up fixing both for about half of what Apple would have charged to fix one. The best part of the experience was that the tech, called me and gave me options, some more expensive and some cheaper (which was cool because I didn’t feel like they were just gouging me).
About a week ago, I went in to have more work done. Martin took great care of me. The work was done well, under cost, and faster than the time quoted. I could not ask for more.
I hope I never need their service again, but in the event that I do, I’m glad to know this place exists.

A fabulous store, but the best part is the stellar Customer Service!
Jostled my old macbook pro and the screen went completely blank.
Went there in a panic, Martin was able to diagnose and fix the problem in about 5 minutes.
He was calm and reassuring, and obviously knew what he was doing. More importantly, he was very honest about how simple the fix really was – He easily could have taken it in and charged me for a full service without my knowing any better, but instead he fixed it right there in front of me, and identified how if so-​and-​so had happened it would have been worse, but because it was just a loose connection, no big deal!
Will keep being a loyal customer to this store – I am clumsy and they deserve to reap the benefits! :)

Outstanding service. I ended up here after I got a total BS run around at Radio Shack, and I’m so glad I did. They replaced the glass on my iphone 4S within a couple of hours. It works fine (just as it did before I dropped it) and they didn’t try to upsell me on other stuff that wasn’t needed (ahem, Radio Shack). Martin was extremely polite and gave an accurate estimate of what time my phone would be ready — since it’s my only phone I was just wandering the neighborhood waiting, so this was important.
