Typewriter Serviceman

If I could I would give 0 star. I called Mr. King several times to schedule a time to pick up my typewriter. (They offered free pick up) The first time I called, he told me that he will be picking up my typewriter on the coming Monday morning. However, on Monday, no calls from him. Since Monday was a snow day, and I thought due to the weather condition, probably that’s why he couldn’t make it.
On the second attempt, he scheduled to come on Thursday morning at 10:00. When I got there at 10:00, I called and asked if he has arrived, turns out he told me that he will probably be there like an hour or so. What?! Never mind, so I left my typewriter there with my husband. Then, as time pass by, a NO SHOW again!!! I had my husband to call him and left a voicemail to find out what’s going on, and NOPE, not a word from him, NOTHING!!!
I am completely disappointed with such poor customer service. It is a joke! I think it is really rude to cancel appointments without given any notice, and not even a apology!
Also, don’t bother to visit «the store». It is actually a house located in a residential area. I went there and no one was there and he told me he was not there all the time…
In a nutshell, if you need a typewriter repaired, take it to somewhere else. It is completely just a waste of time dealing with all these hassle!

To be fair, I didn’t actually need a typewriter repaired, but instead was looking for one to use as a prop in a play. Even so, Mr. King was very accommodating and friendly, and is letting us borrow an old Underwood portable in exchange for a few tickets to the show.
Also, seeing his collection, I have no doubt that he knows what he’s doing and has the experience to fix up your typewriter’s problems.
