After reading the reviews for this location, I decided to call to verify this handling cost issue with a quick phone call. While the individual on the phone was polite and professional, I chose to take my business elsewhere. Sure enough, regardless of whether your package is prepaid or not, due to this location being in the Omni Hotel, they will charge you an additional 7 $+ fee to drop off your package. There are two other locations in the area so I took my business elsewhere. If they waved that fee however, I would have happily used their location for a drop off. I’m sure others would do so as well.

This UPS«store» charges a $ 7 handling fee per package even if you prepaid for shipping. They’re located in the Omni Hotel which I think has to do with the fee. Not good value at all — only worth it if you have no other options — the $ 7 per package adds up fast.

Tried to charge me a $ 15 handling fee for a package I wanted to send that had PRE-PAID shipping. Before coming here, I checked how much it would be to arrange pick-up off my porch and it was $ 10.50, so I used the store locator on the UPS site to find this place and carried my bulky package five blocks to this place only to be asked for $ 5MORETHANIF I HADJUSTLEFTITONMYPORCH. I was told that I had to go to a «real UPS store» if I wanted to drop it off with no charge – sorry but but last time I checked, the sign outside this place said«The UPS Store», so seriously uncool to tell me to go to another store. Nowhere on the general UPS website does it say that this store has limited services, even on the store locator form, which directs this place to me as my local store. I clicked through their website and finally found a notice that said there is a handling fee, hidden away on their website. Ladies behind the counter were clearly used to dealing with this and totally unsympathetic.
