The Green Party of the United States

Love this party! I believe in this party because I want an end to the war on drugs, demilitarization, and single payer health care. It’s a shame Ellen Brown didn’t win treasurer in California. She would of been a great treasurer. Anyways everyone should know it’s more important than ever to vote in the primary because California has a top two primary during governor’s elections. Also if you want an end to fracking this is your party.

Earlier this year, I finally got around to changing my party affiliation from Democrat to Green and have no regrets.
If you want to be a real maverick, forget about the Tea Party. Polls bear out the fact that the Greens are more in touch with the American majority than any other political party. I.E. the folk actually want all those crazy, radical, socialist ideas to become reality.
If you want things like Universal Single Payer, A Green New Deal, Campaign Finance Reform, demilitarization, and an end to the Drug War to occur, forget about the Democrats.
As for the Republicans, just forget them too of course. They’d place clean air and water at a premium and roll back civil rights if they could.
But the Democrats aren’t all that much different, and it has never been more apparent.
President Obama has certainly been no savior. In fact, he’s never really pretended to be anything but business-​as-​usual. He’s continuing harmful Dubbya-​era policies like the Patriot Act and No Child Left Behind. He’s still warring with Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, not to mention Yemen. He’s done nothing for the black community but give lectures about that «personal responsibility» claptrap. He perpetuates the myth of «clean» coal. He’s given billions, trillions to Wall Street. There has been almost no change to the status quo since President Obama took office.
Yeah, some commie radical he turned out to be. Not that I didn’t see that, which is why I didn’t vote for him.
The Greens may not win in 2012, but they can help influence public policy at the very least. Regardless, any candidate they offer us will most likely bring with them more hope than The Current Occupant ever could.
After all, no corporations stuffed Cynthia McKinney’s purse with money, did they? I’d pay to see her debate (destroy?) Palin the Harpy.
