Sweetgreen is usually where I pick when I’m around the Library of Congress and craving for something healthy. The seasonal salads are pretty good, I specially recommend the one with apple, pear and cheddar. It has a nice sweet and sour taste. I used to love their harvest bowl but recently felt like the chicken in that is too smelly. So, I would go for anything without chicken

Okay who the heck is the precious girl who works here. She’s the reason I will keep coming back. Tonight, there are three girls working. The taller one is usually not super chipper, but there’s another one who is INCREDIBLE and needs a raise asap. Seriously, she is friendly every single time I’m in here. Super helpful, super adorable, super professional, super customer service-oriented. This girl is the reason this location will stay in business. If I can get her name, I’ll edit this post. But please, give her the praise and raise she deserves. Wow.

The salads were made quickly and they were so delicious! I have had the guacamole greens salad, spicy sabzi, and the avocabbo salad. The guacamole green salad came with a heaping scoop of avocado. The spicy sabzi was pretty spicy(sriracha-heavy in flavor). I love sriracha. It was unexpectedly interesting, but it was great! And the avocabbo salad also came with a generous half an avocado and it was great. The seating is pretty sparse around lunch time and the tables are pretty small but it’s a great food to grab and go!

Ok. The food gets 5 stars. Honestly. Rad Thai is my GO-TO! It’s hard to try anything else. The food is amazing. However…the place/employees are horrible. They couldn’t show their disdain more if they tried. They are always banging or dropping things, and it’s LOUD!!! Always, always loud. It’s so odd. Im the only person in here now, and it couldn’t be louder.

I will be frequenting this Sweetgreen as much as I can until they no longer serve their frozen yogurt. Unfortunately, Sweetgreen is phasing out their frozen yogurts, and they are one of two locations left in DC that offers it. This was the edge that made this salad shop stand out from their competitor Chopt, and the only reason I visited Sweetgreen. I don’t know what I am going to do without their frozen yogurt, it will be a sad day for Sweetgreen/Washington DC. #sweetgreenpleasedontgetridofyourtartrefreshingdeliciousfroyo

I love this place! SOMUCH. here is why: 1. SOFRESH. All of the ingredients are super fresh and delicious. I had a salad that had chicken, avocado, cucumbers, peppers, tortilla chips, and lime and honestly it was pretty dang good. I had the lime dressing that honestly I wasn’t a huge fan of, but they gave me some caesar on the side and I liked that better. 2. GREATSIZE. I mean if you are spending 10 $ you want it to actually fill you up. ANDITDID. I was really satisfied and pleased with the portion. Also… the bread… so good. It almost tasted a little cinnamony and it was just so delicious. 3. GOODSERVICE. They were super friendly and willing to change stuff to make it exactly what I wanted, and they were happy about it. I felt super welcome and I liked it. 4. NICEPLACE. Like it was super clean and nice. Places to plug in a charger(useful when you use your phone all day to tour the city, and need to charge your phone!) 5. THEYOGURT. So for dessert I was thinking about getting the frozen yogurt… well they were first of all nice enough to let me try it first. And it was SOGOOD. It was a «tart» but legit the best tart I have ever had. BUTTHEN… the worker was so nice and gave me a whole cup free! With 3 toppings! It was so good and made my whole day. I wish I lived in DC so I could eat here all the time. It really is so good.

Had the Rad Thai salad and it was amazing! Very healthy and satisfying. A little on the expensive side and I felt rushed to make decisions(since it was my first time I was unfamiliar with the menu). Would go again, just wish it was cheaper.

Awesome salad restaurant. They have a big salad menu and will mix anything for you. Everything is healthy and delicious! Try the Rad Thai and Harvest Bowls, they were amazing. Also try the cucumber ginger limeade.

For a fast food establishment, this place rules! Healthy, locally sourced when VB possible, and high quality ingredients make this a no-brainer for a quick meal on the go. Try the Hummus Tahina for a filling yet only 610 calorie choice. Great concept that needs to go nationwide, which from what I understand is imminent given the $ 35M in VC funding they just received. Hopefully they will be able to duplicate the secret sauce they have in their current model, but on a larger scale. Hopefully they will find a way to reduce the noise of future store designs, as this place can get LOUD!

Rad Thai was totally radical, not to be confused with Pad Thai. What I like about Sweetgreen is that it fits my California sensibilities. It consists of fresh greens, and the shrimp was surprisingly fresh too! They serve lemonade in Mason Jars,(le swoon) and even the forks are made of recycled materials. Now we Californians pride ourselves on our salads(b/c we’re called the«salad bowl of the country»), but Sweetgreen has made it possible to find a little piece of home in Washington DC. I came here last year too, and the quality has been consistent. All in all, sweetgreen being a full service make-your-own salad place that even has buckwheat bread a great option for vegetarians.

I get that it’s a chain and so you get what you get, but what you get is good: faster service even with a line, a good portion of food, and high-quality salads that actually taste good. Always have had friendly service and quality food here. Fast, relatively cheap. Avoid the lunch-time rush, for real, though. Unless you like being surrounded by 700 hill staffers. Which you don’t. Come before 12 or after 1pm

I came here with some friends and ordered the salad with quinoa and salad and cranberries. It had other items such as chicken and feta. It was a nice combination although I could have used less dressing. The salad was just the slightest bit soggy because of that. The place was busy for a weekday lunch but the line moved relatively quickly which gave me enough time to make my decision.

Yeah, it’s just a Sweetgreen. Yeah, it’s the one on the Hill, so more harried than usual. Yeah, you expect some great salads from a fast-casual place. Fact is, though, I fainted here once and cracked my head open on the floor and I swear to God, every employee there stopped what they were doing, helped me in every way they could, flagged down the police, and were super kind. AND they put my salad in a to-go bowl for me to eat at the ER. Take that, hospital food. I know some might say they were«expected» to act in this way but I was so impressed by how above-and-beyond they went. Big fan of this Sweetgreen. Promise to never faint on the floor again.

I came in for soup because I was cold. The cashier I got was just as cold. He was a thick, older Hispanic man who I presume was a bit racist because I received subpar customer service, yet I witnessed him smiling and greeting a woman who was Caucasian, which I am not. Example? I watched him ask her if she’d like bread for her soup and I had to go ask him for bread for mine. He threw it in my bag :) If I ever go there again I will probably write corporate on him :) Oh yea, the lentil soup was pretty good. PS– Manager if you’re interested in finding out which employee it was I went there on Saturday, October 11th around noon.

Sweetgreen is a nice treat and I would eat here more if it was more affordable. I like to go before noon to beat the crowds and long lines. The season salads are usually pretty good – the one downside is when you find one that you love, it’s gone the next month. My favorite go-to-salad: guacamole green with chicken, no onions, and a good squeeze of lime. I appreciate that many of the ingredients are locally sourced and the trash is all compostable(though as a Californian, this seems silly to advertise). I usually skip the fro yo because of the gritty texture, but the gazpacho is not bad. If I’m in a really good mood, a glass of fresh lemonade is a nice addition to a refreshing salad. If you use their app, you can get reward points towards free food.

It’s just freaking salad. I don’t get it. Then, why is it so freaking good. Even that warm multigrain bread they give you on the side… AGHHHH — SWEETGREENJUSTTAKEALLMYMONEYNOW. One million earth bowls to go please. I would also get the district cobb more often, but the additional $ 3 bucks makes me pause. Sometimes I get their seasonal salads… And some froyo… if you’re into that kinda thing.
