I tried this place(16th St. Location) based on a Travel Zoo coupon. Andrea was fantastic for my facial and VERY knowledgeable. The massage with Alexis(I think that is her name) was very good. My girlfriend and I both loved MINT. We are both going back. The reason for only 4 stars– parking. It is very difficult to find parking(at the 16th St location) the street meters are hard to find and have a 2 hour limit. On the weekends, many garages are closed or expensive.

I’ve been a couple times, the first time I tried their services with a Travelzoo voucher. My massage was amazing — relaxing and really got a few knots out. The facial was the first I’d ever had and I found the experience to be relaxing and informative about taking care of your skin. It’s obvious that Andrea has been in the business for a long time and knew exactly what to do and what products to apply based on my age, ethnicity, and skin type. My skin has looked really good since then(been over a month) and people keep commenting on how I look like I’m glowing. I thought they meant I was looking sweaty but I can admit my skin is really clear and healthy looking. I also bought a massage/facial package as a gift for a friend and she also raved about both experiences. They’re also one of the few places that offer Thai style massage which is a personal favorite of mine. Skin Alchemy is definitely a hidden gem worth checking out in MINT.

This place is so unexpected. My bar going into a spa attached to a gym was low, but what I found was amazing. The massage I got here from Jules was frankly mind-blowing. She was so intuitive and skillful, and it felt like she was really listening to my body. At no extra charge, she built a custom blend of essential oils to address what she was detecting(telling me each one and its purpose) and used it liberally all over my back. She went generously over time, too. I left feeling relieved, relaxed and even a little drunk! I cannot wait to come back.(Oh, and she uses organic DoTerra oils, which are basically the best in the world in terms of quality and potency. No skimping here.) I’ve also had two facials here, an express with Jean and a brightening peel with Andrea. Jean was lovely, and made what was supposed to be a brief, basic service feel like luxury. Knowledgeable and careful, with just the right amount of conversation and some killer shoulder massage. The treatment with Andrea was a much more thorough one, and she’s the most informative aesthetics professional I’ve ever met. I usually drive folks batty with questions, but she fielded them all and then some. Not only did she do a great facial, but she critiqued my current routine product by product, recommended additions/substitutions based on what she saw in my skin(stuff she didn’t have to sell me, so no conflict of interest at all), and offered to continue advising me by email as I built my new routine. On top of all this, the vibe of the place is that magical blend of low-key but perfectly relaxing. The products and people are better quality than I’ve found in most high end destination spas, and their camaraderie is obvious. Never would have expected such a great spot in the back of a gym! I am officially a fan.
