As much as I hate to do this, I have to bump down the rating for this truck. During my last visit, I ordered the Tikka Masala and when I got to the office, I rummaged through the sauce and found THREE small pieces of chicken and a boatload of onions. My family tease me for eating like a bird because I don’t eat much in one sitting but I was still hungry after this meal. The three pieces of chicken were good with rice but then I had to eat just sauce and rice to fill up. Not happy about spending $ 10 on a meal and barely getting any meat. Very disappointed and will probably not return due to the poor value.

I came upon the Sixes and Sevens food truck for the first time near the U.S. State Department on a rainy day. This truck specializes in traditional British food. I got a cottage pie(spiced beef, onions, and carrots with a crispy mashed potato top) with red cabbage and English pea sides, sticky toffee pudding, and a buttermilk scone with homemade apple jam and cream. All of it was delicious and filling. I will be on the look out for them again next time they are by our office.

This review is specifically for the food, not for the customer service, as the lady was very nice. I don’t know what possessed me to order the chicken tikka masala(or why they even have it on the menu) at a British food truck. But it was absolutely horrible. I don’t even know what kind of meat was in it, but it did not look like chicken. It was rough, and dry. I was so disappointed. The sauce was just like a jar of store bought tomato sauce. And there was no naan! The pilau rice(basically basmati rice) was good, but who wants rice by itself? A word to the food truck owner: perhaps stick to British dishes, as it sounds like those are the winners.

I tried the bangers and mash today, and I thought it was really good. My mash had a little too much black pepper in one section, but other than that, everything was flavorful and well seasoned. The mashed potatoes are kind of like smashed potatoes– not whipped and light but dense with less moisture. I opted for the«straight up pork» sausage– also a delicious choice– two sausages, probably equivalent to the size of 3 breakfast sized links. The mash was a generous portion and the gravy is a brown gravy with onions–«onion gravy.» I was afraid the gravy might be too heavy on the onion, so I got it on the side– it wasn’t overpowering.

Just enjoyed as fine a coronation chicken as one could possibly expect from a food truck, chased by a solid yet unexceptional peach jam and cream scone. But really, it’s the citrus-kissed iced orange pekoe that hit the not-too-sweet spot. Bonus point for not a bloody kabob in sight.

waited in line ~20 mins. Got my veggie wrap and bit in only to find lettuce, and zucchini(doused in ground pepper!!). Oh and one HUGE chunk of celery… c’mon! $ 7!!!

Had this for the first time at Farragut Square today, haven’t noticed the truck around before. The truck itself is great, nicely designed and painted, recognizable logo, and a simple & easy to read menu. On the topic of the lunch menu — it is simple, but honestly, I think that is a positive. If you’re getting lunch at Farragut or another workplace lunch hub, you have plenty of food trucks to choose from… I don’t want the menu itself to be convoluted with choices also. Beyond that, the woman who owns the truck is very friendly and was playing some good tunes when I walked up! FOOD: I was unsure about getting British food, but am so glad I tried it! I ordered the ‘Beefeater’: roast beef, mustard, lettuce and cole slaw. I was expecting a little more kick from the mustard after reading the description, but I thought the sandwich was delicious regardless. The bread was good(similar to a ciabatta roll), roast beef above average, and the toppings worked together well.(though for the record, I LOVE coleslaw on sandwhiches!) I was definitely impressed overall and look forward to trying the curry chicken salad next time I see the truck around. And while it didn’t tempt me in the August heat, I can’t wait to try tea and scones once it cools down this fall!

Tried the Beefeater today. The flavors are nice, but there’s hardly any beef in it(and not even enough to cover the entire roll), so the sandwich is very«bread-y». Prices are also way high for what you get. There was a huge guy making the sandwiches in the back of the truck; there’s NO way he would have considered the serving size a proper meal. My coworkers got the Coronation Chicken and agree that it’s good but not worth the money.

I got the $ 9.00 Beefeater sandwich which said it would have layers upon layers of beef. It was not only a paltry amount but it looks like they went to Safeway and picked up some roast beef. Also, where is the fiery kick? The only reason I gave it 2 stars is the scone was very good. The jam that complemented it was good as well although it was mostly pectin and only had 3 strawberry pieces in it — it could have been the scoop or they just throw in few strawberries to the batch.

Delicious food! I had the Sixes & Sevens salad with coronation chicken, and it was amazing(I don’t usually describe salads as amazing either). The coronation chicken was great — sweet and spicy curried chicken — and the salad was fresh and tasty. My only issue was that it took a really long time. I imagine Farragut Square can be a little overwhelming on a nice day, but between the line and the wait for food, I was there for more than half an hour. But it was worth it!

Had already packed a lunch which I wish I hadn’t — based on the exceptionally delicious fruit scones with syllabub(apparently, an Elizabethan whipped cream with lemon) and my Pimms’ style ice tea, I would have had a pretty amazing lunch. This was a crust above your typical food truck fare. Can’t wait for them to come back!

Tried for the first time in today in Chinatown, and overall I like it but some kinks to work out. Truck: Cool simple and clean style which is important when ordering food from a truck, haha, I like it. Menu: Pretty few options for lunch. The main appeal here I think is tea and scones which is a tough call in DC summer. Only two sandwiches which is kinda light compared to competition. Chicken Sandwich: Very fresh curry ingredients. Good size for lunch. I would maybe use a less«bready» bread but thats my view on almost all sandwiches. Don’t hide good food in too much bread. Tea: Also very fresh, kinda small, but refreshing and good. Service: Very nice and I think the owner was working ruck all by herself. Small line formed b/c of that but worth the wait all in all. Good luck.

Lawd have mercy, I’m so glad we found this truck! My work bff and I were on our way back to the library when we spotted this new kid on the block. We wandered over to check out their menu, and decided on two mocktail Pimm’s Cups. Literally the best food truck decision ever and so much more refreshing and healthy than the cupcakes we probably would have gotten further down the block. The owner is really nice and friendly, and used super fresh ingredients to make our drinks. Portion sizes were good, and service was super quick. Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!
