I was sad to leave my dentist in Columbia Heights when my insurance changed, butt now I’m glad I did. Dr. Johnson is the best dentist I’ve ever been to. I have some periodontal issues, so she referred me to someone, but in the meantime she did a great job cleaning and repairing an old filling. From the minute i walked in I felt like a valued patient. Her assistant shook my hand and introduced himself, and since I was early to my appointment, she got right to me. I’ve never met such a polite doctor. She listened and gave me value feedback on my condition without professing to know everything. I’ll be recommending her to all my friends!

It’s hard to find good dentists in DC, so I was bummed when we switched insurance and I had to choose a new one. And now I’m extra glad I found Dr. Johnson! She has a professional, detailed manner and modern equipment. She walked me through my x-​rays and pointed out everything she was scanning for. Then she told me everything she was going to do in detail before she did it. I’d never had ultrasonic cleaning before – so much better than the usual scrape scrape scrape. From the first pleasant experience with Saliou (her front desk staff) to a smooth visit, I definitely recommend her practice!

Dr Johnson has been my dentist for 8 years. She is excellent.
I would not hesitate to recommend her.
I’ve had cavities filled, x-​rays, cleanings and advice for aesthetics (teeth whitening and orthodontics).
If you’re considering her for your dentist: be on time (early), bring your info and have a great experience!

This is to add to my review above from 06/​05/​2012 I did not want people to get the wrong impression of Dr Johnson. When I used the term «Old School» I was not intended to convey that she was old fashioned, more that she supplies the type of care, service and committment to your well being that we don’t see anymore! She does everything herself and is always a tuned to any new procedures. I really cannot say enough about the level of comfort and care I get from Dr Johnson,

Dr. Johnson is terrific. She’s a two-​person shop — her receptionist schedules all of her appointments, and Dr. Johnson herself handles everything else, from teeth cleaning, to x-​rays, to examinations, to cavity-​filling. She’s very thorough and patient, and I’m sure her soothing tones would be reassuring to anyone who has a fear of going to the dentist. I’ve also had great experiences with the specialist doctors she’s sent me to. I’ve sent several friends to her and they have come back with positive reviews, as well.
