Wow in just 20 days since our last visit and the red porch is back!!! Service from Kim was prompt and friendly and very attentive. The wings are the best anywhere, pizza is pretty good and our crab fritters were soft and tasty. Overall the food came out quickly and the experience was great. we will go back on the next game we attend, nice work!!!

The location can’t be beat. 5 Stars! Averaging with a –1 star for food and cost yields a solid 2 Star. Great evening even though the Brewers shellacked the Nationals 10 – 3. We were seated at a table close to the field. Stunning view. Ok, to the food: Pretzel bites for an appetizer — More aptly«Crispy Greasy Bites» … Truly Awful! I was expecting something more like a soft pretzel, cut up into small pieces. $ 20 for a burger? I passed and ordered the Chicken sandwich instead. Another of my ordering mistakes! It was a small breast of chicken drowned in hot wing sauce on a small bun. The fries were a PERFECT match, also having spent way too long in the grease sauna the Pretzel bites came From. The Sam Adams Commemorative IPA was tasty, but not over the top. Thankfully it’s hard to mess up Beer. :) The bill topped out at $ 70 for two: 3 beers, two entrees, 1 appetizer. All in all it was a wonderful place to watch the game and have a beer. PS — 1 hour time limit for dining.

I had, quite possibly, the worst sandwich of my life at this restaurant yesterday: the pastrami sandwich. The bread fell apart, there was just a little pastrami to be found(certainly less than 3 oz). Without the ambience of the ball park, there is little to recommend about this restaurant. Over several years, I’ve had good service, but also notably bad service… after an hour without food we left. Save your coins for a better meal at blue smoke!

I’m a bit disappointed for the first time. My husband and I eat here a lot when we go to the games. This afternoon I ordered the Pulled Pork Sliders that come with fries. Now the first time I ordered this on Opening Day I got 3 sliders and a huge amount of fries. Today I got one medium sized biscuit with a little bit of pulled barbequed pork(and a dab of slaw and 2 pickles) and a child size serving of fries. I’m not sure what happened this time but I expected the same thing I had gotten before. I guess I should have asked to see a manager and at least gotten an answer. I have to say at other times I’ve enjoyed the food, especially the Fried Green Tomatoes. Of course, you can’t complain about the view, it’s awesome. Our server did a great job but my meal was lackluster because of the size, or I should say lack of considering the prices.

Rodney is the most helpful and attentive waiter I’ve ever experienced at Nats stadium. Thank you Rodney!

Had tickets to last night’s Nationals game, but ended up spending the evening at the porch instead. Bartenders were great and really efficient, even though the place was mobbed! They have a couple great beers on top, much better than I’d expected. Plus, the views are great!

I wish more ballparks had more dining concepts like this. Located in the outfield this place offers both indoor and outdoor tables. The outdoor tables are at different levels so your view is not obstructed. The food is American fare and surprisingly very reasonably priced for a ballpark. It was pretty humid and hot when I attended but nevertheless this was a good game experience to have.

Good food, great view — and baseball! What else needs to be said?! I have been here a few times. I believe they have changed their menu up a bit since last season, but I remember the tacos like it was yesterday. There is an hour time limit while the game is in play. If you wait to get your name on the list, and don’t mind a wait on the list you’re good to go! You can still watch the game from the bar while you wait. This is a great place to watch the Nats play — but bring your sunscreen!

This is the perfect spot to watch the Nats bring home the curly W! They have stadium seating which gives everyone a clear view all the way to home plate. The food is really good and the service is usually stellar. They do have a one hour time limit per table but there’s a hack for that. They only enforce the one hour rule if people are waiting. We buy the cheap seat tickets and then put our name down for a table during the 2nd/3rd inning. We usually don’t wait any longer than 15 – 20 minutes(at most) and then we have our own table for the rest of the game! Boom. If you get sunburnt easily bring your sunscreen because the majority of Red Porch seating has no cover from the sun. Let’s go Nats!

Average food for the price. 5th time here usually get the Hamburger. You are paying for the experience here, if out of town this is must do at Nats park. 5÷24÷15 — got the Korean tacos — not bad

Today was our second experience at Red Porch. The menu has improved since the first time(back in July 2012) adding salads and flatbread pizzas. The service has been absolutely excellent, once we’re actually seated. Which brings me to this. Their checking-in procedures need to improve. I suggest installing a loud speaker at the hostess station versus having so many patrons-to-be crowding the foyer waiting for our name to be called. That way, we can wait outside, or in the bar area. To end on a positive note, we overall like coming in before Nats games.

The Red Porch is the best part of the Nationals Stadium. You can sit at a table, have a lovely meal and watch great baseball. We just had a party at the Red Porch to celebrate our friend’s 100th birthday. The staff could not have been more welcoming, cooperation and helpful. We had a very nice meal, lots of personal attention and made wonderful memories. I’d highly recommend the Red Porch to any one who is looking for a place to have a relaxed, enjoyable special occasion.

As i wrote in my review of Nats Stadium, I love this place. It’s an awesome lil spot if you wanna purchase crap seats and then find a place to stand around, drink, gawk at other game attendees, and get really weird tan lines. I haven’t tried the food. The barkeeps are super busy but they’ve always been nice to me. Not a bad way to spend the summer…

my SOP for Nats games(except for July /August) is to buy GA ticket, enter, head directly to red porch, buy beer, watch game, hang out, leave before the crowds.

It’s above average bar food with a fantastic view. You should arrive a couple of hours early and take in batting practice. It’s a great way to start your afternoon.

The fish tacos are out of this world, and the fries are tasty as well. Obviously great seating for a game. The bad: the food comes out as it’s ready — so some of us were actually finished eating before others got their food. Also — the«veggie burger» is nothing more than a mush of black beans. I’m not kidding. Order the fish tacos — you can’t go wrong.

Easy to get a draft beer during the game. Before the games they sell $ 5 domestic pint cans at the other bar on the same level(Miller LIte party deck?) so I don’t come to the Red Porch

Unfortunately, there is no more waiter service in the lower section this year, and they removed the easy chairs. The location is still great, but the perks are not as good as it used to be. Not only are the Nationals underperforming compared to last year, but so id the Red Porch. Cutting service may have saved a few bucks, but this section lost two stars from me.

So the food is passable. The location is nice as I like to sit in my seats until the 5th or 6th then migrate to the Red Porch for that change of atmosphere feeling. Sometimes it can even be surreal — summer evening, baseball, and al fresco dining. If it’s too hot, dine inside with climate control. The cheesesticks are not stretchy cheese-ish, but the veggie patty is not your standard frozen patty which is nice. Service can be a bit slow, but it’s understandable and actually works to your benefit because they have a cap on how long you can loiter at these tables. Not sure they enforce it, they prob won’t as long as you keep the food and drinks coming. Have had excellent service provided by Leah.
