Do good work and are willing to try again if there’s a problem. Plus, their store is very automated which helps when you forget your slip or want to check if your spouse might have dropped off laundry.

Paid 40 dollars for 5 items of clothing 2 shirts, 2 pants and a jackets(polyester). I requested a price list so I would know better in the future and the man who works there became very defensive if not angry. I had no plan to argue the price nor made any indication that I had questions just wanted to know for the future. Did a fine job but it was pretty simple.

I did not have time to hem a pair of cargo shorts for my husband so I brought them to Palace Cleaners. I thought that $ 16 was a fair price for a hem in the Friendship Heights neiborhood. When I picked up the shorts, none of the stray threads had been clipped and the stitching work was not very straight. I prefer getting all of my tailoring done by Bloomingdales(also in Friendship Heights… and their tailors are awesome!), but in a pinch this wasn’t too bad. Plus my husband cared little that the work was messy since these were just cargo shorts.

It’s true, Palace Cleaners does a good job. And I love for my clothes to get the«royal treatment.» But the prices are painfully, painfully high…

I couldn’t care less about the washing instructions for the clothes I buy until I inevitably rub red nail polish, spill beer, bleed, and dump whiskey all over the front of them. I wear the things I own into the ground, so I’ve become passionate about finding an excellent dry cleaner to save my soul and the condition of the frothy frocks that I invest my limited funds in. Palace Cleaners’ little motto is, «Where your clothes get the royal treatment,» and I willingly raise an overflowing glass to that. Never have I been more satisfied– in addition to being sweetly helpful, these people turn laundry into an art. I love that they care about the customers and the clothes. If something doesn’t work the first time, they will find a way to make that piece of cloth beautiful again. The stains and the paint are gone from my blouses and skirts; the fabrics are good as new. The silk is impeccable. A small but wretched hole in the seam of a jersey cocktail dress is articulately repaired. When you pick up your armful of pressed pants, starched shirts, chiffon, lace, brocade, or whatever you prefer, you will be happy. Ahhhhh, clean clothes! I love these people. I love this place.
