The worst dermatology practice I’ve ever been to. I came here to remove tiny white bumps on my face that weren’t even noticeable to others and left with nasty scars on my face for months. I came in to see Dr. Todd Perkins( ) about the tiny white bumps, most of which were on my forehead. He informed me they’re called milia and told me to see Hannah, his medically trained aesthetician, for removal during a facial. I did, and the facial went horribly wrong. Immediately afterwards, I ended up with nasty marks on my face. I looked like I had fallen on my face on concrete or had been hit in the face with broken glass. According to the doctor’s and Hannah’s representations, I was only supposed to have a few red dots for a couple of days. More than a week later, I still had very prominent scabs on my face. They were a whole lot uglier than the milia I was trying to remove and definitely a lot more prominent than a few red dots. What happened was: the removal of the milia left cuts on my face, which later turned into scabs. Even after those scabs fell off, scars remained. The ones on my forehead were prominently visible for months after the facial. Additionally, Hannah removed a blackhead that was in the middle of my right cheek during the facial. That, too, left a nasty bruise that took several weeks to heal completely. I’ve had multiple facials in the past for blackhead removal and never have they left such a prominent mark. Perkins gave me my money back(which was the least his office could do), provided subsequent care, and tried to figure out what went wrong, but that’s very little consolation for the damage they inflicted. As a doctor, Perkins does not listen well, is often(very) late to his appointments, and does not take the proper responsibility for his and his staff’s mistakes. He was extremely flippant about the milia removal before the facial and was all too eager to promote the skincare services at his office not covered by insurance. Yet after my facial went wrong, he had the nerve to tell me these things happen. Well, perhaps if he had properly informed me of the risks beforehand, I wouldn’t have undergone the damn milia removal in the first place. I went to get a facial from a spa elsewhere and my aesthetician performed extractions as well. She used similar instruments that Hannah did but absolutely did not leave me in the miserable situation I did after I left this office: with marks all over my face for months. Currently, there remains a scar right underneath my lower lip that is clearly visible to the naked eye. I also see a faint scar on my forehead that is visible depending on the lighting. It has become fainter and fainter over time, so I’m hoping it will just go away all together. Perkins says he doesn’t see anything, and practically accused me of lying. Of course, he wasn’t the one who had to live with the scars for months, and it was shocking that after his office inflicted the damage, he couldn’t be a wee bit more apologetic. This was a horrible experience to undergo. You can spare yourself the trouble by never stepping foot here.

This rating is only for Hanna the esthetician since I haven’t visited the dermatologist yet. Hanna is super knowledgeable and can basically assess your skin when you walk in the door. She’s very informative and it’s clear that she loves what she does. Hanna is definitely someone you want taking care of your skin!

Hanna is an EXCELLENT addition to the office. I have had two facials with Hanna Mitchell and find her to be a top rate esthetician.
