Mr. Manoukian and his team just couldn’t have made rug shopping a more pleasant experience. They were so kind, patient and knowledgeable as we perused their beautiful wares, *encouraged* us to take home the 2 rugs we were deciding between (without even a deposit!), and came to our house to pick up the other one, and to deliver the pad for the one we chose. When our dog took a bite out of the new rug, they did a same-​day repair that was exceptional– you wouldn’t know it had been repaired unless you were really searching for the spot (the dog and rug are now closely supervised). In a world of chain stores and hard sells, this store offers quality merchandise, fair prices and service that makes you feel like family.

Absolutely amazing! After another cleaner left my (wet) carpet sitting for two weeks, Manoukian performed a miracle. All the mold, mildew, and stains were gone. I cannot thank them enough!

What a breath of fresh air to shop here. Honest as the day is long, Paul Manoukian called 2 years after our mother died to tell us one of her rugs had been with him for cleaning. He could have never called and we would not have known. We later bought a rug from him at an incredible price. Lovely people. Go.

Wonderful service. Mr. Manoukian is the sweetest. I asked them to rush a rug cleaning job for me before we moved. They came to pick it up, cleaned it, and brought it back in no time. Great service!

Better than 5 stars. We have been visiting Manoukian Brothers for more than 15 years. Paul is a low-​key, knowledgable, thoughtful, partner in your quest to find the right rug. He is more interested in helping you find a rug that you will love for generations than he is in selling you a rug. His service is unsurpassed and he is a pleasure to work with and visit.

Can’t say enough about kindness and helpfulness of Mr. Manoukian and his staff. As other reviewers have noted, the prices are very fair and the store does not have any bad rugs! If you go through the stacks of rugs, you’ll find rugs of all different ages, colors, origins & price points. The carpet cleaning service was the most reasonably-​priced I found and the rug & fringe came out beautifully. The storefront is on Georgia Ave, but if you turn on Kalmia Rd just north of it, there is a parking lot behind the store. Nice family atmosphere and no-​stress shopping experience!

Absolutely my go-​to place for beautiful rugs. Why pay close to the same amount for a machine-​made blah rug from Pottery Barn when you can put a piece of art on your floors? The staff provides incredibly personalized (but not overly pushy) service and the prices are excellent. I have now bought five rugs from Manoukian. This man is in this business because he loves what he sells. Paul Manoukian is a wealth of knowledge about oriental rugs. When I wanted a rug for my living room, he didn’t have the perfect rug for me at the time. So we discussed colors, style and pattern and he said he would keep an eye out. A month later he called me to say that he had found some things I would like. Sure enough he had a perfect match for my tastes and required size. Where else will they take care of you like that? I recommend him with no reservations.

Very good service!!! If you are in the market for rugs or need repair or cleaning as I did — Manoukian Brothers Oriental Rugs in Wash D.C. Georgia Ave is a place you should consult with. They are very knowledgeable and prices are right. I had the misfortune of dealing with another well known carpet business within the area. Paul at Manoukian help correct the problems and also educate me on rugs and care going forward. I would recommend this shop without question.

I looked up this store as I’m about to bring home some camel bags I bought in Jordan and I want Mr. Manoukian to clean and stuff them as cushions. He has cleaned and repaired several rugs of mine beautifully. I perused his carpets (wasn’t really in the market) and as a carpet aficionado, I thought his prices were very fair. I was tempted but I’m waiting until we buy a new house. Our decorator friends had referred us to him and they were right. Great service! These are real carpets, not Pottery Barn junk and much better prices than a lot of places that advertise.

Manoukian is the best. Really, truly, it is the best. They love and care for quality handmade carpets. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I agree with Angel B! Paul Manoukian, the owner, is treasure! He’s the kindest, most patient man you’ll ever meet, and he’s always glad to share his knowledge. My husband and I bought several Chinese rugs from the 1930s from him and he has cleaned and cared for others that we inherited. He was able to tell me so much about them — it was fascinating! His prices are very reasonable and he’s always glad to work within your budget.
I wish there were more than five stars that I could give!
