Disappointed. I ordered the chicken kabob platter, which(according to the menu) comes with rice, salad, hummus and tahini sauce. I checked in on Unilocal and got a free drink. So far so good. When I got my food it had several large pieces of pita jammed into the hummus. Since I have celiac disease, that is a BIG problem for me. It is also not listed ATALL on the menu. I asked for them to remove the pita and hummus since I could not eat it once the pita was in it. They instead offered to make a whole new tray for me… which would have been great if I was not in a rush and had not just asked them to remove the pita and hummus. So I asked again and they did what I asked… If you add extras not listed on the menu, ask your customers if they want it. You asked if I wanted hot sauce, why not ask about the pita or state on the menu if it comes with the food? So free soda, good attempt at customer service… But this could have been avoided if they listed pita on the menu or asked.

For a food truck and the price this is a great place to eat! I definitely recommend getting the platters. They come with rice salad and hummus on the side. Salad dressing had a wonderful flavor and the rice was cooked to perfection. The hummus was a little thin for my taste and could have used a little more flavor. The meat was soft and cooked well. Also I recommend the dolma. They were full of flavor and perfect size. Owner was so nice and friendly also. Eat here!

Fabulous. We had a falafel burrito and a gyro sandwich. Both were generous portions and delicious. Well-spiced, tender, fresh ingredients.

After my initial review, the owner Sam contacted me and invited me to try out Kabob again. Sam is professional and serious about his business which I really appreciate. Unfortunately I did not have time to go back so I cannot give a higher rating without really getting the food. I would go again and update my review once I revisit Washington d. c in the future.

Located along the food truck row by the street across the Washington Monument we found the Kabob Square truck. Hey, ya gotta eat while doing all that walking touring the monuments. Need to keep up that strength with a gyro, falafel sandwich, or lamb burrito. Pretty decent chicken kebab sandwich here. Price was ok. Plenty of chicken stuffed into that pita and covered with a white sauce. Did the trick as I dined with a view of a famous structure in the background.

I don’t understand the hype. It’s overpriced and nothing special. Got the gyro platter and the total came out to be $ 11. My platter did not come with pita bread. If it was included then they forgot it… Also a small can of soda cost $ 2 so I skipped it and got one for $ 1 at another truck. Definitely regret my choice of food that day. One star for the fact it wasn’t greasy and another for the fact I didn’t get the runs.

Their kofta kabob was delicious! In a plethora of kabob trucks, this one certainly stood out(and free samples certainly didn’t hurt). The service was so friendly and I will definitely go back!

Sam is amazing! I was tempted by him offering free samples and ended up buying a gyro burrito. Delicious is an understatement! I keep coming back! #Customer4Life The birth of his entrepreneurship story is also very inspiring. He is the total package; inspiration, friendly disposition and culinary talent!

Found this wonderful food truck after a morning of sight seeing in Washington DC. Very tasty food and we loved sitting in the park people watching.

Food trucks are often mobile and there’s construction around the mall. Message the owners on Unilocal– and they’ll tell you where they are. Since I’m not a DC regular, I needed some tips for navigating food trucks.

It was most delicious chicken sandwich I had. Amazing quality and flavor !! They even ask me if I want it spicy or not. Which I appreciate because I can’t tolerate any hot/spicy food. Guy on the window was very knowledgeable and funny. Great Job kabob Square. Come back to china town !! Will defiantly be back !!

Loved the chicken sandwich and falafel sandwich! Plenty of spice on both — hot sauce on the falafel was a nice addition. The dolmas were delicious but a bit on the olive oil side. The hummus add-on is 1 pita and plain hummus, so if you want veggies in it, you might ask. Very good service! They seem like nice people too. Will definitely hit them up again if we see them on the mall.

Most memorable sandwich from my previous visit. Fresh, hot and great. Lamb gyro, light tzatziki, lettuce, cilantro, sriacha and black pepper. Thank me later.

Had a craving like whoa for some falafel so I turned to Unilocal and discovered that this food truck was parked a block away from my office! I practically ran to Farragut Square and was surprised to see this truck wide open with only one other person in line! In less than 30 seconds a really friendly guy was taking my order for a spicy falafel salad. While I stood to the side of the truck waiting for my food to be made, I jammed out to the classic rock they had blasting from a speaker on the top of the truck. Love this — it made waiting for the food a fun experience! In less than 5 minutes, they were calling my order number and handed me a plastic container that was heavier than a brick! I took a peek inside and saw that it was filled to the brim with 5MASSIVE falafel balls over a salad bed, thick slabs of pita bread, and a mountain of hummus. It was enough food for 2 separate meals! Sadly, I was so excited that I ate the entire thing in less than 20 minutes.(I have the stomach capacity of a beast.) I will absolutely be back the next time this truck is parked in Farragut Square!

This food truck is located right outside the smithsonian natural history museum. It’s a nice relief from the other generic options right next to it. The food itself was absolutely amazing! I got the gyro sandwich & my husband got the falafel sandwich, both were seasoned to perfection. But everybody must know this is THE food truck to go to because the wait and line were a little long. They take credit card :-)

I order the $ 9 chicken kabobs over rice. The service was super fast. I think I just waited a minute before they called my number to tell me my order was ready. The first thing I noticed was the generous portion size; it could be enough for two to share. The chicken was very tender and moist, not dried out like some kabobs are. The rice was prepared perfectly, too, and wasn’t dry. The salad was fresh and the dressing was tasty. I used the hummus for dipping and found it improved the already tasty chicken. The flatbread was nice. I could use more, but I’d get really stuffed eating everything. Thumbs up on everything. I’ll look for this truck again the next time I’m at Farragut Square in DC, around Connecticut and Eye Streets, NW.

Had a long line of trucks to choose from, but chose Kabob Square based on the reviews. I had the chicken kabob burrito(no onions? No problem!!). They allowed me to customize my order without hassle. It took about 8 – 10 mins to get, but it was worth it. It was large(I could only eat ½ of it), full of flavor(got medium spicy), and it came hot. Service was friendly, owner came directly to me to talk to me. I was so full, that I couldn’t even touch the chicken sandwich, so stay tuned as maybe it’ll be a nice midnight snack. Highly recommend this food truck!

Customer happiness seems to be a high priority for this food truck owner. Updating based on very classy response. And tried more of the food, and was very pleased. Still want to see the styofoam containers go. I know it’s the cheapest. It’s also really awful stuff – pure landfill.
