Sorry. Staff tries hard(but hard to understand). Chicken cutlet was good enough, a tad overdone, but grilled nicely. Companion seemed to like her hot dog. We were charged 41 cents each for water! But the worst were simply execrable«onion rings.» Mostly looked like little lengths of breading. Ok – let’s see what’s inside. They don’t HAVE to be ring-like to pass. No dice. I am being serious when I say that about 10 percent of them contained any detectable onions. Just fried coating. Unbelievable. One of the pictures suggested by Unilocal shows a paper plate. That would have been a step up, in my opinion. Food served on plastic foam.

Pretty sure their sign that says«People like us on Unilocal» should come with a question mark and a picture of a person shrugging. It’s not that the food is bad, it’s just completely unremarkable and overpriced. The only reasons you’d eat here are 1) you work in the building, or 2) you’re in a tour group that has vouchers for the Reagan Bldg food court. Otherwise, you’d walk two blocks north to get a cheaper meal at McDonalds or a better burger at Five Guys.

This is very affordable for the area. I can recommend the country chicken sandwich combo. The sandwich took awhile but was made to order. It is possible to customize the toppings on the sandwich. The staff are good about seeking customer input. Note the chicken appeared to be fried(consistent with the picture) rather than grilled whereas the term«flamers» suggests a grill. I got exactly what I saw on the ad picture which is great. The fries taste freshly made. For the picky, I would have wished for a little bit more carbonation but I thought it was fine. This store accepted cash or credit. Seating is in a food court area. The staff in the area are very attentive to folks leaving behind purses and the like. I think they are awesome and feel very safe eating here.

Convenient in its location close to the National Mall… meaning my kids claimed they couldn’t walk one step further without food. Nothing fancy. Burgers & fries. Cheddar burger had cheddar-flavored cheese spread on it… gross. Just like the food courts at your local mall… pass on by & look for the food trucks!

Flamers has a decent concept — made to order burgers or chicken sandwiches — built/topped to your specifications — for a reasonable price and done fairly quickly. The staff is friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, concept and friendliness will only take you part of the way there. The bottom line is that while their food isn’t terrible, it’s really very uninteresting — and downright bland. Craving a fried chicken sandwich, Flamers called to me as I scanned the meager food court at the Ronald Reagan building. It was good enough to sate my stomach’s demand for fried chicken on a bun, but not good enough to satisfy my tastebuds. The fries were actually a little bit better. Still under-seasoned, but at least they had a good mix of crisp to a fairly meaty fry. I don’t regret going here, but I have no inclination to return.

This outlet is located in the foodcourt of Ronald Reagan Building where there are a wide variety of food choices. I had the quarter cheesburger combo($ 5.95). It came with a fairly large portion of fresh cut fries and drink(they serve pepsi). The store only takes cash. The burger is cooked on the spot the moment you order. Like Subway, you can choose what veg you want on the burger. The lettuce is finely chopped so it tastes great. The toppings that you can put on the burger are actually rather standard, lettuce, pickles, onions… but you get to choose if you do not want whichever. The burger is served on a plate. Tomato sauce and Mustard is spread on the other side of the bread and the burger is left open. Fries is freshly fried, served on a rectangular dish. The burger tastes ok. A little dry at the first bite but the finely chopped lettuce made up for it. The fries is very nice. You can choose to have cheesy fries or fries with bacon, but I’m sure you’ll have to top up for that. They offer chicken, fish and beef on the menu. There’s even a mini burger set that’s really cute. Sliders. its called. Flamers seems like a popular choice for people who dine in that food court.
