It’s Five Guys. I honestly feel as if all locations are ran impeccably at this point and this location is no different. The food was quick and hot and the fries were overflowing.

I can’t tell you what the food taste like because when I went in to order my food two nights ago with a friend, I had to ask for my money back because of how unprofessional their customer service skills we’re. Me and a friend of mines went two nights ago and the cashier guy hand it us a bag so we can get some of their peanuts, now take it this was my first time in this location. So as I am placing my order one of their managers«Katrina» said excise me all loud and she says you can not take those peanuts out of the store. So I said to her ok cool we didn’t know this, now take it I’m still waiting on my order to be done with so I said to her where are we going, so she says well the sign tells you this on the door. So I asked for my money back because she didn’t have to be so rude and nasty she acted like was stealing something. See there’s a way she could’ve handle it better so I asked her for her managers name which is «Rosa» and she will be hearing from me before the end if the week is over. I will never step foot in this location again better yet they should just get rid of the whole peanuts that why it will not be anymore confusion.

I received a free burger and fries via postmates from here and it was terrible. I mean I know it’s free but it was bad. No seasoning whatsoever, no lettuce or tomatoes or anything and we were not allowed to add anything to it in the order. There was literally no salt. The fries were extra greasy. My first time eating five guys and I won’t be having it again.

Overall great for brunch Ordered little burger with some fries. The burger was good and they have the select topping as an option to choose from. Crunchy fries which were great. Good price and good taste.

This is a chain which consistently delivers delicious high quality burgers. There are few burger options and then you can choose from a free list of toppings to customize your burger. I like the sign which identifies the farm of origin for their potatoes, and the free peanuts so I’m less likely to get snappy at my husband while waiting for my food. The whole restaurant smelt like cleaner while we were there so I may opt for takeout in the future, and you need to have an employee unlock the bathroom for you and I can’t imagine that’s very efficient for them.

This has become an annual tradition every year that I travel to Washington DC. It is conveniently located just as you get off the metro. The menu is simple, but well done for this tier of food — far better than McDonalds or Burger King. Their prices are fair, and always plenty of seating, which is not always the case in DC.

Every year or so I have the urge to go to Five Guys, and every time I leave thinking they’re over-hyped. Sure, you get lots of toppings, but the patties themselves aren’t all that juicy. In-N-Out is probably the gold standard for cheap and good, and on the east coast I think Shake Shack is a definite improvement on Five Guys. But if you know and like Five Guys burgers, you’ll like what they serve at this location. As for the fries, I ordered well-done/crispy fries for the first time, and I can say that ordering them this way is a huge improvement on their regular fries, which I find limp and relatively unappealing. If you usually order your In-N-Out fries well done, you should definitely order your fries crispy at Five Guys. The real let down at this location, however, is the service. I mean, it’s in a gentrifying neighborhood, and I appreciate that they hire locals at a decent wage, but I don’t think that really excuses either the abysmal customer service standards they have or the extremely poor training this speaks to. I stepped up to the counter and the cashier looked right through me with a 1,000-yard stare before ultimately stepping backwards, couching up some phlegm, and spitting into a garbage can. Ummm… I mean, sure he apologized for this, but it’s some seriously weird stuff. McDonalds manages to get – and train – people for a much lower wage, so I’m not sure what Five Guys’ excuse is here, and they’re certainly not giving their employees the kind of training that will help them move on to better jobs in the future, which is a real shame.

Burgers here are cooked well. Service is quick. Most toppings to add on burgers are free. Some cost a buck or two. Employees are nice and efficient. Place is usually clean when I’m there. Peanuts are always fun to eat while waiting for the burgers and fries.

You’ve been to Five Guys, you’ve been to them all. Staff here were friendly and chill. Burger tasted awesome. I like to get the little bacon cheeseburger ALLTHEWAY with jalapeños, hot sauce, and steak sauce. I also recommend Cajun fries over plain. Man, I wish they had old bay fries. Which is crazy because they’re from here! I will make it 5 star if the add old bay to their fries. Also this might sound gross to some of you but I love eating my burger over a pile of fries. I deliberately let toppings and cheese fall on the top of the fries. Then once I finish eating the sandwich my fries are big delicious mess. Reminds me like«animal style» fries from in and out. Only works if you get a messy sandwich. Final point. You should probably only get fries if you’re splitting them. The portions are quite large.

A few weeks ago I learned Angel, the former manager of Z-Burger, moved to Five Guys. Which I was happy to follow him wherever he travels because of his individualized service and personal touch. Hopefully he will stay in Columbia Heights so I can continue to receive excellent service right in my neighborhood.

Angel, the manager, and everyone else who works is always so nice and the food is consistently delicious. The meu is easy to navigate(re: no bun) if you’ve got a gluten allergy.

Did not have jalapenos. Probably will not return.(Two stars) ETA: Got home to find out I also got hamburgers instead of cheeseburgers, and missing toppings. If I wanted questionably boiled meat on soggy bread for eight dollars, I’d have bought two Quarter Pounders instead. At least they have cheese. There is no «probably» about not returning to this location.(One star) Cashier: Erica M.

This review will almost certainly be used as evidence against me in the case to revoke my Unilocal Elite status. My fellow Unilocalers, today was my first time at a Five Guys [A wave of shock spreads across the crowd. An elderly woman faints.] So…yeah, I’ve been living under a rock called«I’m not paying $ 8 for a hamburger at a fast food joint.» After all these years, I finally caved after someone swore that I would have a «come to Jesus» moment in this place. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and a «little» fry. I went in there expecting something that looks like a sausage patty like you’d get from McLawsuit, and I expected about 14 french fries. I took one bite and just sat in my chair like that scene from the Matrix when everyone’s in the spaceship watching Neo on the monitor. I looked at the juices coming out of the burger and the crispy breakfast-like bacon(unlike the limp, see-through crap you get at the freckled-face girl’s restaurant) and I just stared at my burger with my mouth wide open…“Oh my God. He is The One!“ Then I ate a french fry. There were more than 14. Way more. So many, in fact, that I got metaphysical. «Like…what if the cup isn’t the thing that holds the fries? Dude, like… what if the cup is really just a scoop that we’re supposed to use to get the 600 fries out of the bag?»(Mindblown!) Everything was delicious, and they’d get four stars IF I didn’t spend $ 13 for what was essentially a higher quality Extra Value Meal. It was good, but the«intro to a heart attack» experience that I had about five minutes after walking out of there let me know that it’s something I’ll only eat sparingly. Still…“A-Ok.”

The staff is so friendly I was taken aback.(Ahem, College P 5G.) Other than that, you got your burgers, you got your fries. You want something else? Go somewhere else.

I had my first Five Guys experience at this location. Coming from NY, I’ve been spoiled with giant burgers from Jackson Hole and a multitude of other burger joints. I had high expectations for the chain since a lot of my friends are always raving about it. I thought the burger was delicious and I loved that toppings were included. What really surprised me was the friendly service; unlike other fast food chains, the employees here seemed genuinely happy to be there.

Service here is SLOW, but I didn’t know until after I had placed my order and was mocked at the empty Five Guys. The place really smells like cooked food, so I would suggest eating outside the restaurant unless you want to smell like greasy food. Unfortunately, the time that I waited made the same impression. I was very disappointed at how long it took to make my little burger, but it was good, and I had been craving a hamburger for awhile.

I’m not huge on chains, but I think they do an A-OK job of making a good burger. It’s definitely a reliable place that I can go when I need to grab dinner and I’m already in the area. The burgers are good and I’ve generally had really friendly, if not prompt, service. On the other hand – this FG in particular just seems to take an extraordinarily long time to get food out. Every time I come in I feel as though I’m waiting forever and someone is looking at me apologetically as they struggle to fill orders. Not somewhere I get a craving for, generally, but somewhere that always works if I need to eat.

If you need a Five Guys burger, and you have the ability to get up here, do it. It’s easily the fastest Five Guys I’ve ever been to. Rarely is there a line, and the peanuts are always out! The fries are hot and awesome, the staff is pretty nice. The guy that does the fries is cool and remembers me. The burgers are always satisfying and filling. Can’t wait to go back.

I had a meeting in the Columbia Heights area today and this was the closest place to the Metro stop that I could find. I’d had a pretty ‘meh’ experience with Five Guys the one time that I’d gone before(Glen Burnie, MD location), so I wasn’t too excited about trying them again, but I figured that it was worth a shot. This location, for me, got it correctly. The food was excellent — and very, very generous in portion size. Really, the cup was overfilled with fries, and crispy fries at that. There were so many fries, as a matter of fact, that I filled the cup repeatedly — wow. Service was VERY friendly, much more so than expected. Perhaps the service I received at the other location was merely an aberration. This experience at the Columbia Heights store is certainly enough to restore my faith in the brand, and I’m inclined to return. Now I see why everyone loves this place so much.

Can’t complain about the food, beats In N Out on taste, not price. Lights too bright, music too loud, but thats not why I’m here, is it?
