Amazing food, amazing drinks and great service. We went here with my friends for my wedding dinner and we had a beautiful time. I am suggesting this place for any occasion. Will return.

Best brunch in DC! If your goal is to leave brunch full, happy, and a little tipsy — FFB is the place for you. The scorpion bowl is a must-have

I’ve been to FFB twice — once for dinner and once for brunch. My boyfriend and I went to dinner here a few months ago. We got the crab dip, mussels in coconut curry, scallops, and the pear and arugula salad. Food was very good and the servers knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient — the overall experience was nice enough for me to want to check out their brunch! Today my family and I went to brunch to celebrate my birthday. Unfortunately, the quality of food and service is not remotely on par with dinner. First of all, the seating is way too tight!(We were seated at a booth for dinner, so didn’t notice this problem then.) Our table was so close to a neighboring table that we could only enter from one side. The server was nice, and told us how the brunch works: some food laid out in the traditional brunch buffet fashion and traveling trays of eggs benedict, sushi, fried seafood, and pizza. She told us that cinnamon rolls and busicuts were being ordered, and to go get some food! Yay! The brunch set up itself is a little confusing and inefficient. There were no signs for what you were eating — thankfully, I don’t have dietary restrictions, but I can imagine that would be an issue for someone who did. Gardener’s table: Bruleed grapefruit was okay. Interesting concept, tasted fine, but was hard to eat. The outside was so sticky from the sugar, and when you go in to scoop the grapefruit out, the sugar just falls off in chunks. Purple and black kale salad was nice, refreshing. Carving table: Meat was not to my taste. Bacon was way too salty. Beef was really dry. French toast was my favorite thing at brunch. I loved the selection of toppings — bananas, strawberries, whipped cream, syrup. The scrambled eggs were my second favorite. There were two types of scrambled eggs — both were good but I preferred the one with mushrooms in it. Butcher’s table: Guacamole was fresh — someone was actually there making it! I liked the pulled chicken in the flour tortilla. Not a huge fan of the fried taco shell, mostly because there wasn’t much space to put the fillings in them. The fried chicken was dry, meatballs bland. Grilled ciabatta bread good, and I paired it with the hot artichoke dip. Traveling trays: Sushi was okay. Just simple rolls, which is understandable at a buffet. I tried one slice of pepperoni pizza. The crust was nice, but serving plain old pepperoni pizza is boring for brunch. Add some veggies! Do something interesting, please! Eggs benedict was good, but definitely not worth the wait! The poached egg seemed undersized compared to the english muffin. The whole two hours we were there I never once saw a traveling tray of sushi. We finally got sushi at our table because we asked a server(who was not ours — ours insisted they were coming around on trays) to bring them to us. No explanation as to what kind of fish we were getting. I felt like such a jerk for having to consistently ask for items that were supposedly on traveling trays. I hate being that obnoxious, demanding person at a restaurant, I really do. And yet I think if we didn’t keep asking for sushi and egg Benedicts, we probably never would have gotten them! Overall, really disappointing experience. Not recommended for brunch, although dinner is good.

Probably my favorite restaurant in D.C. This place has such a variety of food and everything I’ve tried here has been so tasty. I’ve been for lunch and dinner, and *seen*(but unfortunately not yet been able to partake in) brunch. One of the downsides is this place is always, always busy so you have to make reservations at least a few days in advance. If you go without a reservation, you’re likely looking at an hour, 2-hour wait … unless you go at some off time during the day(2 – 5). Some of my favorite dishes here: — Brick oven pretzels: they come with these ridiculously delicious dipping sauces — Kettle corn: So fresh and the perfect blend of salty and sweet — Mussel pots: the spicy sausage and white wine and garlic are great — Sushi: a little overpriced but, all the sushi is very tasty! — Spicy ahi tuna poke salad: amazing flavors, fresh tuna — Roasted vegetable, avocado and brie sandwich: this comes one a yummy raisin/walnut bread and has so many fresh things on it like cucumbers, sprouts, avocado and roasted red pepper Like I said, the menu is varied so everyone in your party should be able to find something they like. And I can’t say that I’ve had a bad meal here ever. Definitely a crowd pleaser!

Good: Excellent Food, Diverse Menu, Good Prices, Big Tables, Comfortable Seating. Bad: Overworked Wait Staff, Over Charged, Bathroom Not Maintained. Favorites: Appetizer — Hot Crab Dip Dessert — Beignets Bad Experience: This was going to be a 5-star review, but sadly the service experience dragged it down to 3-stars! Tuesday night, waiter clearly working too many tables. Waiter: Had to wave my hands to get his attention. We ran out of water for a good 5 – 7 minutes, when asked for refill he eventually forgot to give it. Had to ask again for water. I ordered coffee. He forgot to deliver it, but charged me for it. Facilities: The bathroom, seriously, was out of soap! Now this is acceptable at a dive bar but not a high end restaurant. I had to find a manager to replace the soap in the bathroom. Kudos for using a good brand of soap.

Farmers, Fishers and Bakers takes all you can eat brunching to a whole new level. For ~$ 30 + tax/tip, brunch your heart out! The buffet includes: dessert bar, egg scramblers, carving station, taco station, meatballs, honey fried chicken, grits, french toast, salads, cheese plate, various spreads, etc etc etc. The brunch line-up did not disappoint! Favorite brunch items: –Cinnamon rolls served with the biscuits at the start of the meal were warm, gooey and delicious –Fried taco shells were decadent, but OHSOGOOD –Guacamole bar for topping your tacos or eating with fresh fried chips –Honey fried chicken(especially the pieces coated with more honey goodness at the bottom) –French toast. There were different options to suit your fancy: bananas foster, fresh berries, berries in syrup, fresh whipped cream. YUM! I’m not normally a sweet brunch person, but I went back for seconds. Miss brunch items: –Cheese grits: meh, I’ve had better, I’ve had worse –Biscuits: dry and flavorless, the jelly that came with them wasn’t very good –Egg scramblers: was mostly cold and flavorless –Bacon: hard to get pieces that were not extremely fatty(or just plain fat). I know it’s bacon, but come on! Next time: –The flaming tiki drinks! Did someone say boozy, all you can eat brunch? YESPLEASE. –The dessert bar. Save room! We forgot about it until we were too full. Service: –20 min late for our reservation, but a manager did come over to apologize –Waiter offered at the beginning to flag some of the traveling items over to our table, but then never asked again during the meal –Waiter did not refill coffee and took forever to refill when asked

Love love loooove, Farmer Fishers and Bakers. Today I took my 15 year-old daughter for Valentine’s Day and now she’s a fan, too. I can only speak for the brunch buffet, which is quite satisfying and the only thing I go for every time. The only thing that they are missing, in my opinion, is crispy bacon! There is a carving station where you can get semi crispy slices of ham, and a couple of other meats, but that delicious French toast needs to be paired with some crispy bacon! They have a nice assortment of salads and dips, too. And it’s probably the only time I’ll eat grapefruit — they caramelize the sugar on top. They have floating trays that offer pizza, fried fish, sushi and eggs Benedict. Let me be clear, the trays themselves don’t actually float. More so waiters walk around with these options for your tasting pleasure. And the biscuits and cinnamon rolls they bring to the table are just delish. Not a bad spot for a Sunday brunch. Especially when the weather is warm and you can take a walk afterwards.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Hands down the best brunch I’ve had in my 34 years of living. No lie! Like most, my friends and I came for Sunday brunch. We didn’t have a reservation and had to wait about 45 minutes for a table of 4. No biggie because we went over to Sequoia to start the flow of libations while we waited. Shout out to the bartender, Martin! Once we got the word we headed over to FFB and was greeted by the best server, Angie. She was really nice and very attentive. It was my first time there and when I say it was memorable… BABY…I kid you not! As soon as Angie took our drink orders I proceeded to fill my plate up with French toast, eggs, jambalaya, bacon, crab dip and a brûléed grapefruit. America… hear me when I say the food is RIGHT! Like… it can’t get no righter!(My apologies if you’re an English teacher) Added bonus are the traveling trays! scallops… why yes… shrimp…don’t mind if I do. Wasn’t a big fan of the eggs benedict though. Kids will even love this place, hello… PIZZA! And parents will love that kids 6 and under eat free. Yes, FREE… can the church say amen!!! My 4 year old and I will definitely be coming back. Did I mention they also bring a plate of biscuits and cinnamon rolls to the table!!! Lawd… I was in heaven, do you hear me!!! Not only is the buffet the my Bellini($ 12 I think) was really good. The only less than bright spot was the bowl drink we ordered. There was a slight miscommunication. It says serves 2 – 4 so we thought we were catching a lick for $ 20. She brought this elaborate drink over and our eyes got big. BUT then she pulled out 4 straws and our eyebrows were lowered. I love my friends, I do — but I don’t drink behind them. Uh, hello… MONO anyone! No thanks. So that was disappointing because it looked GOOD! Another positive is that it was full of patrons but I didn’t bump into not one person or felt like someone was breathing down my neck. I didn’t feel rushed to get my food and move out the way. They even have a person to help explain what is served at each station. Which was good because I know I was starting to annoy the carving guy with my questions. He was nice about it but I picked up on the«will you get this pork belly and gone» vibe! Lol I will say I never want to sit by the door again though. We couldn’t sit and talk long after everyone was done eating because people were giving us the«get the hell up so we can sit and eat» look. Ok…one last thing… how about the manager stopped by to check on us and when I gushed about how in love I was she gave me her card and said if we ever have any trouble making a reservation to give her a call. Wth… who DOES that… gosh darn Farmers Fishers Bakers! Boom!

I’m a fan of Moco Founding Farmers, but Farmers Fishers Bakers is better. It’s a great place to go if you want to show friends from out of town around Georgetown and visit the waterfront. After all, Baked & Wired is a block away! This is one of the only New American places I’ve been to that I would recommend for the sushi. I know it says on Unilocal that it’s both, but the only place you’ll notice that is the chopsticks on the table. Order anything with ahi or raw tuna on the menu, and you’ll have a good meal. Oh, also ran into a RH of Potomac cast member here, HA.

Went on a Saturday afternoon with my friends there. Didn’t have a reservation but the host was nice and quickly found a table for us. The place is nice and welcoming, you can’t beat the location :) We’ve enjoyed the food, drinks and atmosphere. The only downside is the fact that we felt pressured to leave.

The best brunch place near M street! The minute u walked you, you are in this nature-inspired restaurant. Beautiful Wood beams, plants, high ceilings and spacious seating opening up to big windows that overlook an ice skating rink and the harbor is just amazing! Locally sourced ingredients and creative versatile menu is the second thing you will love! We ordered mussels, pizzas, seasonal salad and soup. My favorite is the mussels, garlic and herb infused mussels are just wonderful and fresh. The croutons that come with it were crispy and flavorful! Highly recommend. It’s the food, service and atmosphere that make a successful restaurant. This one is a gem!

This place is really tasty. I love the fact that there are tons of seafood options on the dish and they’re all done so differently. If you’re in the mood for spicy food try the spicy shrimp, they are to die for. The broth is amazing, you’ll want to drink it. Everything we had here was absolutely delicious!

I hate doing this. I really do. But. This was a let down. Its as if its TRYING to be seafoody – but not quite sure which cuisine it wants to focus on. I got the Sushi pieces. They were good but, where was the soy sauce? Wasabi? I dont even care about the ginger. Just dont bring me raw fish and rice with no sauces. No we are not in Japan, I dont care how plain Jane they take their sushi – we are in America where we use sauces. The service was kind of slow, our server was very busy with plenty tables. Maybe adding more servers on a busy Sunday evening in 60 degree winter weather? I wasnt impressed. On another note. I got the Beignets and like always they were a treat. LOVE beignets from FF. IDK if I will be back at this location, maybe to get some beignets to go and then head over to Sequoia’s bar for their beautiful view – is that uncouth? aah who cares ITSMYREVIEW :-P

My family has come back to this buffet many times over the past years, and Farmers Fishers Bakers has become one of my favorite weekend buffets in DC. The atmosphere is fun and laid-back, making it perfect for a happy feast on the weekend. The buffet offers an omelette station, a salad station(with marvelous veggie mixes), meat carving stations, a taco station, fried chicken, guac, dips(my favorite is the artichoke dip!), classic breakfast foods(like bacon, pancakes, etc.), and an assortment of desserts. Plus, your waiter brings you some biscuits. There are other waiters bringing around other dishes, such as sushi and pizza, in a more dim-sum style fashion, but they are scarce and often play hard to get. Though one caveat — They don’t seem to be set up for large groups. My family came with 9 people, and their largest table was a bit tight. Also, if you want to make a large reservation, you probably have to call(instead of through Open Table), and definitely make it well in advance. All in all, a great place for a weekend brunch with family and friends.

One of THEBEST brunch buffet style spots in the nation’s capital! Everything I get at the buffet from the honey glazed chicken to the grapefruit with caramelized sugar on top is fabulous! Things to note: 1. Make a reservation! This is not a walk up and dine type of restaurant. 2. Dress appropriately! You don’t have to get dressed up but this isn’t the type of restaurant where you throw on leggings, a hoodie, and uggs if you catch my drift! 3. Prepare for parking mayhem! Parking in this area is always tricky so allow yourself a few minutes to park so you don’t miss your reservation!

Good food. I was expecting something more based on the rave reviews I saw on Unilocal and from my friends. I ordered the honey pot chicken and it was just ok. Nothing special. Not crunchy enough in my opinion and slightly undercooked. The side of grits were pretty good. The ribs were very good. Fall off the bone with a tasty rib sauce. The pot of muscles were also very good. I loved the garlic broth. Great for sharing Sushi was meh. Nothing special. My sister ordered a sandwich and the bread was soggy. A BIG red flag in my book. The brownie sundae was pretty rockin’. Atmosphere and service was good as well as the beer list and cocktails. I would give FFB3.5 stars. I would eat here again but won’t go rushing back anytime soon.

What a fantastic restaurant to go out to – I’m not from DC, so I didn’t know what to expect or where I really should go for dinner with my boyfriend, but after seeing that some of my friends had gone there and had wrote favorable reviews, I decided that it was definitely one of the spots to hit. We got there on a Saturday night around 8PM and had to wait about 45 minutes and opted to eat outside because there were heating lamps and it was a shorter wait time. There was ample space to sit and the views are great, since you overlook the ice skating rink in Georgetown. We ordered the hot pretzel with various dipping sauces, salmon avocado sushi, fried chicken, and corn. Everything we ordered tasted very fresh and was very delicious. Our server was also very friendly. The next time I come back to DC, I definitely will try this place for brunch!

Went there for New Year’s day brunch. It is a buffet style brunch, so brace yourself for tons of food. I personally suffer from buffet anxiety… meaning I get stressed out sitting across miles of food and patrons pilling their plates to the sky. But this was a little lower key: there was variety, to be sure; a carving station, omelettes, a Mediterranean spreads table, a Mexican food station, salads and deserts… but there were few options in each group, which I liked. Buffets typically emphasize quantity v. quality, but that was not the case here. Furthermore, there were what they called«travelling trays» visiting each table periodically, offering additional dishes, such as sushi, pizza, and eggs Benedict. We also ordered their special punch(which serves 2 – 4)…it is placed in the middle of the table and comes with its own bottle of sparkling wine to add as you go, and as many as 4 straws for everyone to share(see pic). Overall we had a great brunch morning. I avoided the anxiety, but not the food coma. I ended up not eating anything else for the rest of the day, But the food was very good, so I don’t regret(I particularly liked the guacamole, the potatoes au gratin, the eggs, and the cinnamon rolls –my party loved their bacon too, but I am not a bacon person, so for me it was just OK). The service was flawless, and the atmosphere bright and joyful. Will go again for sure.

I asked my local friends where the best place to brunch in Georgetown was and got a unanimous answer for Famers Fishers Bakers. My mistake was waiting to ask until the morning of. We arrived and it was an hour and 45 minute wait for two people. I am glad it was a warm day in December so we just walked around to some other places and enjoyed a bloody mary by the water and watched people ice skate. After exceeding our wait time we still didn’t have a table. We checked in with the hostess and she let us know it was going to be another 15 minutes. There were two empty seats at the bar, which is first-come first-serve with full service, so that is what we should have done all along. By that point unfortunately we had missed the opportunity to participate in the brunch buffet, which looked AMAZING! The bartender was very friendly when we sat down and gave some excellent recommendations on the menu. Service fell off a little during the meal. I would imagine at the end of an extremely busy brunch shift he was ready to get out of there– I can relate. We started with the pretzels and they were awesome. Sticks instead of knotted and a large portion for only $ 5! I loved all three of the dipping sauces, just wish there would have been a little more for the amount of pretzel there was. The clam pizza had me very curious. That is something I have never had or heard of. Man was it delicious. There was a garlic cream base and it was topped with littleneck clams, pancetta, corn relish and lemon. All of the flavors worked extremely well together and the crust was perfectly thin and crispy. We also got an order of the pulled pork tacos. Wow! The pork was so good, a little different for me being used to Eastern NC style BBQ. They have a choice of three types of homemade tortillas, but I am a flour girl myself. The décor is awesome too. The bathtub at the bathrooms, the wheat pressed under the bar, the cookbooks out on display, they really paid attention to the detail. Overall, all the food we had was delicious, even though it was disappointing to miss the brunch. Now I know to make a reservation in advance next time I come to the city.

I found the crab cake entrée was my favorite dish of the night. It was moist and juicy, though i would have preferred it slightly less salty. I was less excited about the mussels and certainly not impressed by the shrimp louie salad; i know, who orders that, right? I have had better dishes at Farmers Fishers Bakers and wish they would refresh their menu to remove items that do not do the restaurant justice. The banana split was huge and was a fun way to end the evening. I continue to appreciate their extensive beer offering!

First off, I have to say the location and the view are amazing! My sister and I had the chance to sit in a booth by the window facing the patio area and the ice skating rink. It was beautiful! My sister made a reservation for 7:30PM, but we ended up finishing our shopping around 6:30PM. Although we had to wait 30 minutes for a table, the host was very accommodating and welcoming even if we arrived an hour earlier. The ambiance of the establishment felt like a mixture of BJ’s + Sonoma Chicken Coop(from what I’ve experienced in CA). Upon seating, our waitress explained to me that all of their food is sustainable and farm to table. Super interesting! I wanted to order a Coke, but she said they actually make all of their sodas but they did have canned sodas. My sister ordered the purple and black kale salad with chicken and I ordered the jambalaya chesapeake(which the waitress recommended). Fabulous choice because I actually really enjoyed it! I was pretty apprehensive on if I would enjoy the food because the menu didn’t seem that appealing to me. The kale salad was delicious as well, but I was expecting the salad portions to be larger. However overall, I would love to return and try something different on the menu! :)

I came here for both lunch and dinner recently. The lunch was average. Ordered the regular burger(double meat patty, cheese, lettuce, tomato, tartar sauce) with fries. The burger was fine — cheese was melted and the bun was good. My wife ordered the mussels in the spicy sausage provincal. She wouldn’t order it again if she came back. Dinner was better — we got the crab dip and pretzels to share. The crab dip is buttery goodness. Comes in a cast iron skillet and well broiled cheese on top. The pretzel comes with 3 sauces — the cheese was my favorite. Ordered the honey pot fried chicken. It was two leg quarters. I would’ve like one piece of breast. The chicken was crispy, but I’m not a fan of sweet and savory. Grits and peas were good too. Grits had ham bits in there. Like the décor and the bathroom. Very unique design.

What a fun spot. We landed into DC from LA and wanted to walk to a place near our hotel. They were buzzing with people when we walked in at 8:15 pm. We were told there was a30 min wait but luckily got seated in 15 at a great table too ! My husband is vegetarian so it was great they had a full«meatless» section in their menu! We started off with the breads and dips which was a butter garlic sauce and romesco sauce with broth poured in and a plate of cooked hot garlic. It was delicious! We also got the fried Brussels sprouts salad which was yumm. I love sour food and this was defiantly more sour than most normal salads. I enjoyed it but my husband wasn’t a fan. We also got the meatless meatloaf which was so — so they sauce on top came out a bit room temp and not hot enough and the flavor wasn’t all that great. I would defiantly come back and try other things on the menu! Awesome service too!

Knew we were going to be near Georgetown on our trip to DC so I made a reservation for our group at this Washington Harbor location. The bonus was that it was 70 degrees in November so we were able to dine outside which was very nice and not as loud as inside on this packed Thursday night. They had an extensive menu of craft beers and cocktails. Unfortunately they could not make the classic mai tai given they were out of a key ingredient so a couple of us ordered the classic zombie and were disappointed by it… and at $ 15 that hurt. I’ve had these in Hawaii and there was nothing classic about their interpretation. The good news is that the food was great and made up for the drinks. Everyone raved about their entrees including the salmon on the cedar plank and the steak-frites. The pretzel appetizer with the different sauces was also very tasty. Our servers were friendly and helpful. Many good choices on this menu so when back in town I would return here for a meal.

This place is cute. You have a river view and American entrees on the menu. The seating inside is a bit crowded but the outdoor patio seating where I sat was better space for conversations and people watching(smile). Our waitress was great. It was our 1st time and she thoroughly explained any questions we had. I ordered the American double with fries(mediocre) and my dinner date ordered some type of seafood platter with a side of Mexican corn salad. I tried their corn salad and must say that was the best corn I’ve ever had in MYLIFE! Whatever you order please get that corn! It is bursting with rich ingredients and flavor. I probably will return here because I was quite interested in their extensive beverage/spirit menu. I saw the presentation served to a couple next to us and it appeared quite appealing.

This place is the epiphany of fresh produce. I love their local farm to table concept. So expect everything to be fresh and delicious. A friend took me here for dinner. He was raving about how you couldn’t go wrong with ordering anything on their menu. So I was excited to experience it for myself. The vibe was warm and friendly– a place I could see bringing my family for dinner or close friends for drinks and appetizers. Even the staff was accommodating and friendly. The place is very trendy(even check out the bathroom). Really cool design. As for the food… oh gosh so good. Met my expectations. We got the pretzel bread sticks as a warm up. I ordered the watermelon caprese salad with a side of chicken, our waiter’s recommendation. My friend ordered(the complete opposite) the grilled cheese burger. Everything was so mouthwateringly good.
