Honestly, if you want an amazing sandwich in a location that doesn’t even make sense until you experience it, this is it. Loved the food and honestly enjoyed the museum.

This is a review for DSD’s catering services– we hired them to cater an informal business cocktail event for about 50 people. Important factors– they were responsive throughout the process, on-​time on D-​day, and everyone RAVED about the food. People couldn’t get enough. Will and Jake (I hope I remembered his name correctly!) were the team onsite and were awesome. Their food is awesome and their team is awesome– definitely will visit and support Dirty South whenever I can!

I tried DSD for the first time at the Parcel Market in Canal Park over the weekend, and oh my goodness, their sandwiches are to die for. My friend and I both got the Mr. Chips sandwich which has pulled pork, cilantro, pickled peppers, citrus aioli and manchego cheese on a brioche bun and the sandwich lives up to the name of this deli. It is a complete mess, but every bite is amazing. It’s surprisingly not heavy because the cilantro and the aioli give is a bright, fresh bite.
I can’t wait to try the rest of their menu, but I don’t know how they’ll top the Mr. Chips.

Whether you are a sandwich snob or a culinary novice, I’m sure you will enjoy DSD. Their sandwiches NEVER disappoint. I have tried nearly everything on the menu and it is always yummy. This is a great place to grab lunch if you are perusing the art of the museum or if you work in downtown DC. The menu changes which I love. The staff is always welcoming and the flavors they combine in their sandwiches are unique and delicious. This is one of my favorite DC finds.
