FT Capitol Hill provides great options for getting fit — to include small group personal training at a discounted rate from the private sessions, nutrition counseling, and other cardio equipment — but the best part is that the options exist if you want them. There is no pressure beyond what you sign up for. The trainers give you a great workout, and I always want to go to PACK class because I know it will be worth it.

Fun, thoughtful, well-rounded trainers who really listen to their clients and tailor sessions to help set and meet goals as quickly as possible.

I liked their concept of small workout groups and decided to try them after purchasing a 30 day membership. The location is small but the professionalism, knowledge and overall concern with helping you to be in better shape exceeds the size. Everyone that I have worked with has been great. All the clients seem pleased. I’m pleased and would continue my membership if I could afford the cost. If you can afford it and you are looking for a place focused on your goals and your overall fitness then this is the place.

I have been going to FT for almost 2 months now and I am extremely pleased. Besides the expensive membership, this is exactly perfect for getting a killer workout. They trainers that I have worked with(David, Andrew, Alita) are really great and helpful to master form and also motivate you and encourage you along the way. I appreciate their help and their patience.

Completely annoying that this neighborhood has 2 yoga studios, a Capital Bikes rack and no gym. Then there’s Fitness Together but the only way you can use the cardio equipment is if you spend a load of money on a personal trainer or buy sessions at particular times with friends. I love personal trainers but sometimes I just want to put on my ipod and go crazy on the cardio. Wish someone would open a place in the neighborhood with ellipticals, stairmasters, bikes and treadmills. I’m annoyed every time I walk by Fitness Together b/c I’d love to work out there but it is expensive for a graduate student who wants to stay healthy. Fitness shouldn’t be unaffordable.

Ignore the storefront. Inside is a great team committed to getting you into whatever shape you want to achieve. I love the variety of the workouts. The PACK teams are great: 2 to 4 people working together with 1 trainer. Your team members give you support and inspiration while the trainers give you incentive, advice, and careful attention to make sure you’re reaching your goals without risking injury. That attention extends beyond the front door: They genuinely want to see you reach your goals whether you’re working out with them or on your own. I definitely have more energy, more strength, and more drive to achieve my fitness goals thanks to Alita, Christina, and(especially) Melissa, and David.

I need to start by saying that I have been a client of FT capitol Hill for about 18 months, in that time I have lost 100lbs and went from a pant size 44 to 34. I have a really hectic work schedule and I often don’t know a week in advance when I’m available, sometimes only six hours in advance… FT really works with me and my schedule on a weekly/daily basis to make sure I get in the work-outs I need. When I first started I was not comfortable working out and going to gyms so the private nature of the one trainer one client philosophy was a big selling point. They have also worked with me as my goals have changed and kept me making the next step and reaching for bigger and better goals. My next big, scary goal: doing a triathlon. Something that would have been impossible a year ago. I would highly recommend Fitness Together Capitol Hill as a way to start or continue your wellness journey.
