Just a quick review here. We all know what hot dogs are and what to expect, but for some reason, food trucks often try to get all fancy schmancy with their menus and don’t seem to think much about the taste and the«eatability»(the ergonomics of eating) of the food. Crusty Dog seems to have had the mojo to figure it all out. 100% beef dogs on foot long French rolls… customized to any of a variety of concoctions. The menu seems to be variable right now, but some that seem to be staples are the Korean Dog and the Salsa Dog. Some that seem to be offered periodically(hopefully to return on a regular basis) include the Hawaiian Dog, and the Peruvian Dog. I had the latter… the Peruvian Dog and it was delicious. Slathered with onions and pulled pork with the dog laying on a bed of sweet potato slices… it was so reminiscent of a Pan con Chicharrón that I skipped real Peruvian for the week. It was also very edible… not too sloppy with quality ingredients. I can’t wait for my next visit!
