Love taking painting classes at the Fillmore location at 1801 35th Street, NW, near the border of G’town and Burleith, but alas… it has been sold and is destined to become townhomes and condos courtesy of Eastbanc. If I weren’t a realtor I’d be sadder… as it is, can’t wait to see the finished spaces and paint in Corcoran’s new school locale. I’ll miss the weekend flea market though!

Take your doodles to a more impressive level. Amuse your conference mates as you ink an outline of a chair.
Drawing is a good starter course. I’m happy to imagine you washing charcoal from under your fingernails. It makes you look dirty.

I’ve always enjoyed taking art classes. As a younger the instructors did not remember what it was like as a child and which teach the course like we were adult. During highschool, I enjoyed it a lot more.
The courses can be a little bit on the expensive side, but the facilities are nice. (vs. a community center) There are two location, one as mentioned above close to the white house and the other in G-​town.
