Dr Warner is great. He delivered both my daughters and if I was going to have anymore children Id absolutely go to him again.

Dr. Warner is an awesome doctor! I am so happy I chose him to be my doctor for so many reasons. One. the atmosphere the staff creates is important and his office makes you feel like family. Two. Dr. Warner makes his patients feel comfortable. He knows what he is talking about. He is extremely knowledgeable. He doesn’t make you feel like you are just a number, he genuinely cares. I promise you’ll be in good hands with him. He delivered my baby October 28^th, 2013 and he took the best care of me medically and emotionally.
I was completely terrified during that pregnancy due to a past delivery with another doctor in 2005. Where I had severe toxemia in delivery and almost lost my life. In 2009 I had a tummy tuck because I was «certain» that I would not have another. But my husband and I decided down the road to have another. And I expressed to Dr. Warner of my fears of dying during this one and also the cosmetic procedure I had done would be ruined. He understood all of my fears and concerns and made sure he did everything he could to prevent them. And he did! My delivery was amazingly smooth! My tummy tuck was NOT ruined! How that is possible when I had a C-​Section? I have no idea but. Dr. Warner definitely worked some MAGIC!
I feel so blessed to have him as my doctor and to have had him deliver my son. Dr. Warner is by far the best doctor I have ever had. He is a busy man, but you would NEVER know because he has all the time in the world for you. Wish there were more stars to rate his business because 5 stars doesn’t do him justice.

I’ve been going to Dr. Warner for over four years and I love him. He has always maintained a professional attitude as has his staff. The entire staff has been professional and courteous, asking questions to show they remember you and care. I think that says a lot. Dr. Warner delivered both of my kids and I would recommend him to anyone.

Let me start by saying Dr. Warner is a great doctor — knowledgeable, friendly and patient-​oriented. It’s just a pity I cannot say the same for his staff.
I’m going with Chessie on this one — but I’ve been a patient for 4 years. No longer — after the final wrangle with his front office and billing staff I am done. Yes, it’s a lovely office, but that is just as well as I usually end up waiting 30 – 45 minutes after my appointment time to see him. They are not friendly, they always treat me like I am not going to pay my bill (even though I have had the same health insurance the entire time I have been a patient) and getting an appointment is a huge pain.
My final straw came when I called to say I had a family emergency that required me to travel out of the country and could the Doctor call in a new birth control prescription. Emphasis on emergency — I was flying out in 36 hours. Not only did no one get back to me until I was actually at the airport (NOT HELPFUL), when they did, it was to say he could call it in but there would be a fee! Seriously?
Then I came home to find a $ 900 bill because even though the ask for my insurance card and I give it every time I visit, they had given incorrect information to the Lab and now the claim was denied. I called the billing office to tell them about the issue and again no one every got back to me. I finally ended up spending 2 hours on the phone getting the mistake straightened out myself with my insurance company and the lab. I am never going back to Doctor Warner. I feel like if you are just a regular patient going there for preventive care (as opposed to a high-​risk pregnancy patient) they just don’t give a damn.

I’ve had a male OB/​GYN since I was 15 years of age and after the passing of my old GYN doctor I began my search for a new one, I first met Dr. Warner at Howard University hospital. When I first saw him I wasn’t too sure if he would be the doctor for me because he looked so young at the time but upon my first visit I immediately felt comfortable around him. His professionalism and knowledge helped a great deal. I have since recommended Dr. Warner to several friends and family members and they love him as well. I recently started taking my daughters to see Dr. Warner their first male doctor ever and they love him.

My wife was a patient of Dr. Warner’s in Washington, DC. When she became pregnant while posted to a U.S. Embassy in Africa, Dr. Warner first took an appointment to provide a pre-​natal exam one month in advance of a planned visit by my wife to Washington. He then cancelled the appointment two days before her trip citing the fact that he would not have access to her throughout her pregnancy. She called him to ask him to reconsider, but he refused to talk to her on the phone. This comes after enduring constant problems with billing with Warner’s unprofessional staff while living in Washington, DC.

I have followed Dr. Warner all over the city because he is just that wonderful. I’ve been seeing him for close to 10 years and think he gets better and better. Open, honest and informed, he makes the trip so much easier. The only drawbacks are the office staff and he is a little too clinical when it comes to babies. The staff when he first started out was great, super nice, knew everyone and you got in and out quickly. I guess with his popularity, staff has gotten more snotty. Thankfully you only have to deal with them for five minutes. He delivered my now two year old. While the experience was fine and I have a healthy child at the end of the day, I am more granola and he’s more clinical. He’s a great OB and everyone I send him to likes him.

Disclaimer: I never saw Dr. Warner; my odyssey with the customer service his office provides ended in my initial phone call, which should be telling. Since this is Unilocal,and we focus mostly on how the consumer is treated, I find it relevant. Additionally, we all know that the actual doctor himself is half the battle; it’s the front desk who gets you that appointment in a pinch, that prescription in a hurry…
I called Dr. Warner’s office to make an appointment as a new patient. When the receptionist asked me what insurance I use, I said none, as I am a self-​paying patient. I don’t want to turn this into a health care debate; my choice is to pay cash for medical care for now — and this actually usually results in tons more money and less hassle for a doctor. This receptionist, as it were, likely lost Dr. Warner a fat chunk of change.
«You are aware that this visit will cost $ 265,» the receptionist said in what I’m not imagining as an extremely snippy voice. I ask myself all the time if I’m being too sensitive, a Southern belle adrift in a fast-​paced city, and sometimes I am. This time, I was not. The woman was rather unfriendly to put it lightly. I think she assumed that because I don’t have health insurance, I can’t pay for my medical care, and was determined to be rude to me right off the bat.
«That sounds fairly standard,» I said.
«Because without insurance, it’s going to cost that much,» she said, almost… threateningly. For all she knew, I was calling her from my solid gold telephone from a penthouse at the Watergate while eating caviar out of the small of Warren Buffet’s back. For all she knew, I pee diamonds, daily. It’s not as if I called and said something like, «Haw haw, need me a ‘gina doctor, y’all got one thar?» It was ludicrous of her to condescend.
More important than my briefly smarting feelings was the question of how this office would treat me in the future. One has to wonder, at this practice. I didn’t want to have to wonder. Even if you have insurance, you know how it can go sometimes: the insurance company refuses to pay for something for ridiculous reasons, and it all gets worked out in the end — but will this office treat you like a low-​life piece of scum, someone trying to avoid paying, in the meantime? No thank you. I look for humanity in my medical practices. This is a big city; we have options, and there’s no excuse for treating someone like a non-​paying scrap of sleaze before you’ve exchanged a dozen words.
I called the second-​highest-​rated gynecologist on Unilocal instead, and his office was wonderful to me, and I had a very pleasant appointment with him as well.

The relaxing atmosphere at Dr. Warner’s office — complete with scented candles and a bubbly receptionist — helps you forget that you’re about to go through with one of the most uncomfortable annual appointments.
There was a ton of paperwork to fill out before I got to see Dr. Warner, but that’s expected since it was my first time at the office. Following that, the consultation in the doctor’s office was very easy-​going and the doc is very well spoken.
During the exam, Dr. Warner was very professional and his down to earth persona made the process a lot easier. His funny stories put me at ease.
For those of you ladies who are hesitant to see male docs for your annual check-​ups, think again if you’re seeking a professional, easy-​going and informative doc in the D.C. area.

Based on Caitlin’s review, I tried out Dr. Warner for my annual exam and was not disappointed. I found him to be friendly, easy to talk to and best of all, not at all judgmental and interrogative, like my former gynecologist was.
My appointment was at 1:15 and I wasn’t seen until 1:45. I wasn’t in a hurry though and was perfectly ok reading through all the fashion magazines in the waiting room. It’s a small silly thing, but I hate going to an ob/​gyn office and finding only parenting magazines to read. It’s like, no! I have an appointment to AVOID this!
Yes there was quite a bit of paperwork as a first time patient, but I feel that’s pretty standard for any dr’s office. Definitely more paperwork regarding insurance though. (I expect this has to do with people coming in for more cosmetic procedures, which I imagine are not fully covered by insurance.)
I was a little hesitant about seeing a male-​gynecologist, but I thought Dr. Warner was very professional and very personable. I have already given his name and info to several of my friends.

my experience was pretty much opposite in every way to caitlyn’s. i just went to dr. warner for the second time this week, and it was a frustrating experience both times. first off all, there is more paperwork to fill out in that office than in any other dr’s office i’ve been in. second, i arrived on time to both of my appointments and was seen by the dr at least 45 minutes after my appointment was scheduled… and there were only 2 other people in the waiting room yesterday (and i’m pretty sure 1 of them was just waiting on someone).
yes, it’s a nicely designed office… but it’s so modern and new-​age that it seems like an exaggeration of reality. candles. enya. modern chairs that make it impossible to stand up without looking ridiculous. then there are signs advertising botox, surgical rejuvenation, and all sorts of other procedures you can pay them to do to make you feel better about yourself.
and dr warner himself is rushed, dismissive and confusing. i thought maybe it was just a first appointment thing, but yesterday was equally frustrating. i was having problems with medications, and he oscillated between telling me that all bc is the same (distressing for someone who needs it and has had a bad experience with one) and that i was the one who needed to make the decision. he tried to push a new name brand bc the first time i saw him, and yesterday he seemed like he didn’t believe what i was saying with drastic side effects and feeling really uncomfortable with the medication. he seemed impatient to finish the appointment, and i felt rushed after waiting almost an hour.
all-​in-​all, based on my experience, i would not recommend this doctor. maybe others have had positive experiences with him, but i will not be scheduling any more appointments there.

I always thought I’d be most comfortable with a female gynecologist, but Dr. Warner is the best I’ve ever had… and he’s a man. Go figure.
Dr. Warner’s office is two buildings up from Trader Joe’s on 25^th & M (I used to live next door, go figure) and is truly the most relaxing medical office I’ve ever been. It feels more like you’re at a hip, swanky spa than at one of the most uncomfortable appointments out there, complete with scented candles, magazines, and very modern furniture in the waiting room. Dr. Warner himself is a young, intelligent doctor and is the most professional gyno I’ve ever seen. Like many other women (I’m sure), I worry about being judged; Dr. Warner is a class act. He is a very well-​rounded, well-​spoken man, and didn’t make the appointment uncomfortable even for a second.
Ok, now I’m kind of getting creeped out that I’m writing about my woman doctor. But, seriously, if you hate your yearly check-​up as much as I do, you might as well get it done in a soothing, relaxing environment. Make an appointment today!
