Create your own salad or choose from a set menu with loads of different toppings! Sort of like a salad version of the Subway chain. The root beer is out of this world. Very generous portion and didn’t go away hungry. Reasonably priced and recommended.

Chop’t was incredible enough to donate salads to our leader team for a social justice program at Georgetown University. I initially reached out to corporate, and after they hooked us up with some free salad cards, we headed to Dupont to check it out! There was some miscommunication and the order wasn’t ready, but the crew at Dupont was apologetic and was wonderful in getting our order ready for us. They were so quick and gave us their utmost care, and we felt like part of the Chop’t family! One associate even gave my colleague and I soft drinks to try while we waited for the salads to be made, which was so nice. The salads were delicious, and all prepared perfectly. We all loved them and they made a great Friday dinner! We tried many of the signatures. I personally tried a craft-your-own with corn, onion, tortilla chips, and jalapeños. I thought it was delicious and would definitely come back. Good prices, good service, and a great place for vegetarians, vegans, and meat-eaters alike! Thanks for a great meal, Chop’t!

THEBIG: On the corner of N and Connecticut nestled in between Wells Fargo and The Chickery. This Chopt is my go to whenever I need to cut weight or feeling healthy. Ample seating and fast service. THEBLACKANDWHITE: For two reasons I always get the Kale Chicken Caesar when I head to Chopt: It’s cheap and no one can mess up a caesar salad. I do like the Kale Caesar at Sweetgreen better because they have parmesan crackers and carved parmesan cheese incorporated. Chopt has croutons and shredded parm cheese. They do have the option to create your own salad at a base of $ 7.49 with your choice of lettuce with 4 core toppings and a dressing. Any additional topping will cost ~$.50. They do carry alot of variety when it comes to the core toppings, so you’ll never be bored with your creation. Pro Tip: They have the LevelUp scanner, so in case you forget your wallet, you can pay with your phone! Ask for the Bread! They give you complimentary bread at checkout but sometimes they forget, so don’t forget about it. It’s generally a slice of whole wheat, which is a good serving and won’t bloat you. THEFINALBAMBOO: $ 8.57. That’s the price I pay every time I come here. Otherwise Beet, Don’t Kale My Vibe.

Delicious. Amazing. Restored my love for salads. Toppings are far and away the most diverse in DC. I recommend any of the«first timer» salad options, or anything with the texmex ranch and fried onions. Never thought I would actually crave salads. Overall: YUM

From someone who doesn’t do salads often, I absolutely love Chop’t and if there was one closer to me I’d eat there twice/three times a week. I love the fresh, crisp, chop’t of their salads. I always order up there recommended salads with a nice spice dressing. Their warm bread is wonderful. If you haven’t tried their Chop’t bottled Lemonade you’re missing out on possibly the best Lemonade ever. The quantity and quality of there ingredient choices is over the top Serving is HUGE. Staff is always super friendly, ready to help and happy. Inside and dining area is always super clean. I pass those limpy lettuce, «sweet» salad stores with but a few ingredients and bad drinkables on my way to Chop’t every time I’m in a salad mood.

Food: I crafted my own salad. They have tons of protein options, toppings, cheese, nuts, dressings … you name it, they probably have it. I chose a spinach base and added chipotle chicken which was light and healthy, without being bland and tasteless. They have the calories listed on the menu, which is great for people with caloric restrictions. They also offer signature salads, for those of you that aren’t too creative or good at crafting food. or maybe just too lazy to do so. The salads come with a piece of pita flax bread, which is thin, light and healthy. The salad portions are HUGE, definitely can share it with another person in my opinion. Price: My salad was barely under $ 15.00 and that’s because I included chicken, avocado and two extra toppings. Still, I think it was too pricey. I enjoyed my salad so much, so maybe I could see myself coming back again… but probably not adding so many extras. Service: Assembly line style — very fast/efficient. Employees were all super friendly and patient with me. Ambiance: Modern, sleek and very clean! Overall: Some of the freshest ingredients & topping options I’ve ever seen at a build your own salad bar. Delicious salads + good service, but the price makes me hesitate. This is a place I’d come back to if I really wanted to treat myself, not on a regular basis.

Ugh why do I love Chop’t’s ridiculously priced salads so damn much? I treat myself to lunch here once or twice a week; every time, I order something different, and every time, I’m happy with what I’ve gotten. Luckily, even if the line is fairly long, the service is always fast. For pre-designed salads, I’d recommend the Olympia grain salad — satisfying, hearty, and a much-needed midday spice to the workplace. Be careful when creating your own salad, though — things add up quickly, and before you know it, you’re paying $ 13 dollars for a salad(oh… just me? Ok…).

Maybe it’s my own fault for trying to place orders by phone or online and then picking up. And for trying multiple times even after bad experiences, like that saying about insanity and doing the same thing over and over but expecting a different result. But that line at lunchtime! In any case, this location has proven to be pretty incompetent at taking and fulfilling orders for pickup(or delivery). I mean, it’s salad! You’re just throwing it all into a bowl, there’s not even any cooking! I’ve actually been impressed by the wide variety of ways they’ve found to mess up orders… so versatile. One time they botched an order, kindly offered me a comp to make up for it, then botched the comp order! And I’m not talking about complicated, custom salads either– they’ve even gone astray on a simple chicken caesar salad. But the salads are good, once you eventually get the correct one you ordered. If you persevere(or maybe if you just go wait on line), you’re in for a nice hearty lunch salad.

After my initial review, I was glad and happy the manager reached out and gave a complimentary lunch. I was very impressed so I decided to try it out again and this time i was able to add up more stuff so it was really good. I guess I can have chop’t once a month for lunch, lol. Thanks management

Chipotle Santa Fe Salad was legit! First timer at CHOP’T, the salad was outstanding, but a little pricey, basic salad was over $ 9. Compare to Soup Plantation(AYCE), CHOP’T is really pricey, the food quality is excellent, but minus 2 stars for the cost. Also, would have like to see the guy making salad with a beard with some type of cover for his facial hair…

Excellent presentation an watching the presentation as the salad ingredients are chopt and the placed in a recycled plastic bowl was so good. The selections and choices are many and the food is fresh and enjoyable to eat. Love the range Los sauces to add to the salad.

As always, chopt saves the day. I’ve never been disappointed by the salad topping options, dressing or themed salads. It’s always something new. Love this place. But if you follow me, you already know I have a separate budget for this place(that I never stick too)

Their dressings are very meh, their lettuce is very chunky and their kale tastes like grass. Ingredients are just not good. Go to Taylor Gourmet down the street instead.

Chop’t is honestly one of my favorite places to eat in DC! It’s about $ 10 salads, but they are so big that you can save half for later. Basically the price is worth it. I typically get the«Make your own» salad, I like having more control of what goes in to my food. They have a pre-made menu, but I think the make your own is a better bet. I love that they have beets, and they actually taste really good. Always get them in my salad.

$ 10 salad — not worth it. I got the harvest cobb, which is suppose to have goat cheese and beets. The amount of those ingredients was so minuscule in the salad. There were also a few dried up pieces of chicken. My salad was basically lettuce, and it wasn’t even an expensive blend of mescaline or anything. These people are crazy to charge so much for lettuce. I am so disappointed and will never come back. I’ll give Sweetgreen a try, but not this place again. People say they like their steak salads and whatever other non-healthy options they have. I say, big surprise. But I should be able to find a healthy salad option that actually has tasty ingredients in it!

I was really disappointed in this place. I used yo go on a weekly basis and enjoyed their salads. I even had the app and everything, but yesterday I went, had an Asian Salad, and found a HUGE bug in the salad. The manager was nice, apologized, offered to replace it and everything, but I seriously doubt I’ll ever go back.

Yesterday i visited Chop’t for the first time. Judging by the line out the door, I was expecting something delicious. The whole experience felt like a cattle call, and frankly unless you study the menu before arriving, I wouldn’t advise designing your own salad during your first visit. So, I reluctantly ordered their caprese. How could that be bad? They’ve got heirloom tomatoes – only the most important food on the planet. When they started assembling my salad, I was surprised that they put such a small amount of «the good stuff» in the salad. Meager amounts of mozzarella, tomatoes, and dressing. When I asked them to add balsamic I could’ve just as well have been requesting she use chop sticks to tear up the lettuce. When she finally handed me the salad, my friend asked if what I put in the salad – because there was little evidence of baby thing beyond lettuce. The dressing was good. They do an excellent job evenly distributing the mixture in the bowl, making an easy desk lunch. I ordered a drink and never received a cup, they were in such a hurry to get the next person that they handed me a bag, which I had assumed they put the cup in to speed things along. I sat down and went to get my drink – no cup. The line was too long to try to but in, so I didn’t bother. I checked my receipt and she hadn’t charged me for it. Perhaps she forgot. Oh well. $ 11 later, I was still hungry, and a good salad, while light, doesn’t leave you hungry Pros: Everything is fresh The line moves quickly The ingredients they offer are high quality There’s a wide variety of toppings and lettuce Great vegan options Excellent salad dressings Awesome beverage variety – I really wanted to try their soda fountain Cons Drink fiasco Cattle call ordering system Very little mixed into the lettuce Pretty damn overpriced Hard to navigate their menu on a first visit.

Always a very happy and cheerful staff. I love going to restaurants where the employees are friendly and you can tell they enjoy being there. I come to this location all the time and have never had a bad experience. Very clean!

I work in DuPont at a tattoo shop conveniently close to Chop’t on Connecticut Ave. As a vegan I have had my share of salads and wraps with many different toppings. But this place takes the cake for the most delicious tofu vegan burrito. Made with fresh veggies and organic tofu by super helpful staff– I’ll be back tomorrow. :) thanks Chop’t!

I visited this Chop’t location for the first time yesterday. I ordered the kebab salad, which consists of lettuce, chicken, bell peppers, red onions, and feta cheese. I didn’t want cheese on my salad, so I asked to swap the feta cheese for an extra serving of chicken and my substitution was honored with no problem. The person adding my salad to the plastic container had to glance at the menu board on the wall behind him to find out the ingredients for my salad. He was clearly not that familiar with the menu. After the ingredients were added to the bowl, my salad was moved down the line to be chopped. The lady who chopped my salad initially chopped it only a little bit, but chopped it finer upon my request. I appreciated that since I hate eating salads with huge chucks of lettuce. I asked her to add black pepper to the salad and give me balsamic dressing on the side. I paid for my salad, sat down, and was a few bites in before I realized I didn’t get any pita bread. Typically, you’re offered complimentary pita bread with your Chop’t salad so I was surprised by this omission. I was feeling a little gypped so I went back to the counter to ask for some bread and was able to get four thin slices of bread. Even though I had extra chicken in my salad, I could barely taste it. The lettuce took a starring role in my bowl, leaving the other ingredients to play supporting cast members. Skewed portions aside, I enjoyed my salad. The ingredients were fresh, the lettuce was crisp, and the ingredients all worked well together without a lot of dressing. The restaurant was clean and brightly lit with reggae music playing. This is a good choice for a light, satisfying meal.

This is a wonderful place. I’d like if it were a tad cheaper — usually $ 12ish for a salad — but it is otherwise pretty great. Two howevers: 1) Ppl will sit one person at a 4 person table and lollygag on their phone. Rude. 2) It’s REALLY loud. Today, I couldn’t hear my chopper when she asked if I wanted my lettuce chopped more. My coworker’s salad dressing request, likewise, was misheard by his chopper. So beware of that. Food = deeeeelish though. And Diet Dr Pepper = giant win!

I need my Chop’t fix frequently. It blows sweetgreen out of the water in my opinion, but that’s just me. This location is my jam — it’s maybe a little further from the one on 19th St, but the lines are always shorter and I like the set-up more. Plus, it’s not as loud so I can actually hear what the choppers are saying to me(important!). Must-eats: order the Mexican Caesar Salad with STEAK. I occasionally try their seasonal salads, but at the end of the day this is what I crave. I love their sodas, but always go for a lemonade. I have to say I have never tried a wrap, so i can’t speak to their yumminess. The bread is overrated and I always skip it. All of this being said, I always fail at correctly using their recycle bins. They confuse me.

It must be me, but every salad I get here is bad! I don’t know how this place has so many four and five star reviews. Tell me, what am I supposed to eat? I order salads, some with meat, some without. I order salads with cheese and and without cheese. I sometimes do a zesty dressing and then a non-zesty dressing. Always not as good as the delicious little salad place next to the BGR(you know what I’m talking about). Seriously though, I want to like Chop’t. It’s close to work and the line is really fast and the people are nice. For that I give them one extra star. But the food makes me sad. So I will not be going there anymore.
