It’s an average buffet. They had fruit, cereal, Chinese buns and fried rice, cheese and turkey/ham cold cuts. The bacon was too sweet for my taste. Muffins weren’t great. I asked for an omelette with a little bit of everything they left out the meat. The croque monsieur and the French toast was good. Service was ok, I had to ask servers to take our plates away. Came up to 72 dollars with tip for 2 people.

Worst service I’ve ever had. Not only did they forget to ring in one of the meals for our party of 6. They took 20 minutes to bring a steak knife after asking two servers. Our table was never cleared deserts of after dinner drinks were not even offered. Then of course they couldn’t get the bill correct. What a joke! This place is French for fuck off.

Two meals here. Dinner was solid. Breakfast buffet was full of options and kept warm and fresh. Congee was a nice touch. Upon hearing that our daughter was looking for chocolate chip muffins, the executive chef went downstairs and personally prepared two chocolate pastries dusted with chocolate shavings. A personal touch that my daughter will always remember on her first trip to Washington DC.

Everything about our visit at Café du Parc was perfect! From the beautiful hotel and ambiance of the restaurant to the delicious food and wine, we really loved it here! We really loved the crab cake appetizer, the mussels entrée and the chocolate sphere dessert. Our sever was very prompt, friendly and knowledge! After lunch we enjoyed a glass of champagne in the Round Robin bar in the Willard which was a great way to end the afternoon in DC. We will definitely be back!

My review is for the café; it was a convenient place to meet my wife as our day in DC took us different ways. The coffee was excellent. I had an espresso in a beautiful illy cup and it pleased me.

Love this place so much! Was down in Washington D. C for an educational excursion, and instead of touring DC with the rest of our chapter me and my friends went to Café Du Parc and missed the chapter picture… Well worth it though! The food was soo good that I didnt mind not being in the picture. Definitely recommend the fries since they are the best fries I have ever had.

Café Du Parc has been on my list for brunch for the longest time. However, I was disappointed at every step — starting from the cleanliness to the food that made me wonder if it was any better than a Holiday Inn breakfast buffet. I was enticed with the description on the website with the European cold cuts, cheese display, fresh baked pastries, etc. Once I walked by the buffet, I decided to settle for the a la carte menu and got the Eggs Benedict, per the waiters recommendation. The hollandaise sauce was very sour and the Canadian bacon had a lot of gristle in it. I also would like mention that I ate my breakfast staring at a piece of bacon that was sitting on the floor from the previous party next to our table. I am giving this experience one star because I had high expectations and I was disappointed with the experience. If you don’t mind overpriced breakfast with mid-grade ingredients this is the place.

This is my one of my favorite restaurants, but their food is overpriced and some items on the menu just aren’t very good. Service, set up, and venue style are impeccable: go here for brunch… Choose wisely for dinner, though.

The food is pricy but the service and French flavors are worth it! The Chef even came out to greet us! The portions are also very generous! If you love French cuisine, you will love this restaurant and its people.

We went for choice and dessert. I had the white chocolate sphere. It wad creative but very very sweet. Two scoops of regular ice cream was $ 10 — $ 14& a cappuccino was $ 13. A bit pricey but very nice atmosphere and clean if you can overlook the price.

Beautiful restaurant with very good service. They offer a large buffet or a couple of dishes(breakfast). I Ordered some eggs and it was presented beautifully on a nice plate. Everything on the plate tasted as good as it looked! Not too expensive but not too cheap either. They offered me orange juice and coffee and the coffee tasted great. Really would recommend this place for anyone looking for a happy little breakfast

Really great — better then anticipated — food. Best meal we have had in a while. My only complaint is the food all came out to fast.

The best fish soup in DC for sure, brings back great memories from Marseille. The charcuterie might be the best value in town for this quality!

After an underwhelming dinner at Old Ebbitt Grill, we decided to come to the Willard for drinks/desserts and it was definitely the best food decision of the evening. We tried going into the bar area, but they didn’t really have much in the way of desserts and at the recommendation of the waitress at the bar — we tried Café du Parc. Of course a French restaurant would have a fabulous menu of desserts, and of course we would go ahead and indulge. I think for the 4 of us we got the macaroon ice cream sandwich(holy crap it was so good and why have I never had one before!), the blueberry pavlova, and the apple tart. There were also some amarettos and cappuccinos consumed and we ended up leaving very happy and very much content. Albeit dead, I thought the service here was great. Our waiter was very attentive and made some great recommendations for our dessert choices. I would definitely consider coming back here for dinner if the time allowed on a future visit — especially since I saw them bring out some mussels for a nearby table that looked mighty tasty… and I love me some mussels!

If I could give zero stars I would! Visited this morning with 2 friends for breakfast, but I truly believe we would still be waiting for our food to arrive if we hadn’t given up and left. Had to ask for menus and then wait some time before our order was taken. 30 minutes later our quite simple orders of eggs and bacon still hadn’t arrived, but the toast sides had. I watched as the sad slice of toast got colder and colder. We asked if our food would be long, to which we were told it was on its way and they were much busier than anticipated. We then continued to watch people who had ordered after us finish their food and leave. 15 minutes later we asked to see the manager… They must have been hiding with our breakfast as they never materialized. 45 minutes after ordering our food we gave up and left. I would definitely not return… life’s too short to wait that long for an egg.

I should not give away this summertime secret, but I love this place to pretend I am on a getaway to Paris. It has a tucked-away quality that makes it an oasis of calm, and sitting outside you can watch the tourists meander past the screen of trees. The coffee drinks are fine, and the pastries are fresh. If you want just coffee or wine, take your drink to the umbrellas. If you want a full meal, the host or hostess will seat you in the enclosure opposite. I have found the service to be excellent, and I enjoy getting the charcuterie and cheese plates with wine and friend.

Four star for location. Food 3 stars. The fries not as in Unilocal it totally different and would be Mac fries better. Recommended Napoleon dessert and coffee any kind. Waiters polite and helpful. Will defiantly cone back ONLY for dessert.

Poor service. We waited so long to be seated then served. Once that was over though the experience was a lot more pleasant. We sat at the round tables near the bar, as they were having a BBQ event outside and the upstairs was too quiet for 4th of July. Sinful French fries served with baby bottles of Heinz ketchup, and tasty drinks. The bartender is underage so didn’t have too much of an idea about the drinks(duh) but our server was able to tell us about their selection.

The SETTING: Team dinner with 15 coworkers. Set Menu, on a Monday evening. The VIBE: 3 Stars — very Washington DC, with a colonial french finish out(which I like). The AC was not working(or wasn’t working well) so everyone was uncomfortable about halfway through the meal. We had a private area upstairs, which was nice. The SERVICE: 2.5 Stars — a bit surprising since we were the only group there and had 3 waitstaff. They forgot drink orders and took quite awhile to bring everyone’s food out, which makes things awkward when we want to be polite and wait to begin eating until everyone has their dish. The FOOD: 2 Stars — this was disappointing and I wanted so badly to like it, but the steaks were badly overcooked(4 out of the 5 of us had to send them back after ordering medium rare and them being almost fully well done) and the french onion soup was bland. The Bottom Line — maybe with a full menu this meal would be better, but DC has so many great places I would recommend others first.

Stayed at the hotel so can only speak for the breakfast buffet. And I will speak highly. The buffet, although pricey at $ 30 per head, is delicious. They have your standard fare, with eggs cooked to order, as well as some unordinary selections such as steamed Chinese dumplings and rice. What I liked most was everything was prepared in very small batches, so there wasn’t just a big pan of food sitting there for hours. Everything rotated so quickly it was always fresh. Plenty of fresh fruit and berries as well. Sitting outside is pleasant also.

This is an upscale coffee shop attached to the Willard Hotel. There is scant seating in the coffee shop. It was a great respite after going to the White House complex. While I enjoyed the visit, I was disappointed with the Cuppuccino Viennese. The display of the cream sprinkled with cinnamon was artistic. But the coffee had a bit of a sour flavor without sugar and did not have any crema as one would expect from an espresso based drink. It left me with the impression that it was a dressed up cup of joe.

Went there for lunch, after some research online, including reading Unilocal. The place was very nice, near the Whitehouse and and some other cool DC places to walk around. So we planned it where we would have lunch then take a walk, and it is what we did, and it was excellent, and we lucked out the weather was nice. About the restraint and the food. ABSOLUTELYEXQUISITE! We ordered a couple of appetizers and a couple of entrees. The seafood soup was absolutely amazing! I never had Saffron in the soup! But why not? I was able to smell it as soon as they brought it. We also had some some muscles and scallops. I cannot tell which one was best! I am drooling writing this… The scallops were cooked just perfectly. Done on the outside, with some caramelization while still rare in the center and crunchy. Obviously very fresh! It was placed over a hollowed and also rare zucchini filled with lentils also perfectly cooked, and not mushy! The sauce underneath, I could not figure it out! It had so many favors perfectly balancing the scallops. As for the muscles, large bowl, lots of them, because they are incredibly delicious and with a stock underneath that brings out such great favors. The meat of the muscles had all the flavors in it still. I hate with the muscles have been boiled and become overcooked, rubbery and flavorless. Not here, you will taste the deliciousness of the muscles and all the seasoning. Then we also got a couple of desserts. One was the Mille Feuille with raspberry. Not traditional though! But it was very good and actually not too heavy. We also ordered the selection of ice cream which were all delicious! Our waiter, Roy, was very knowledgable about the menu and the food content, and pleasant to chat with.

I love coming here for pre-theater meals. The quality is superior and the cocktail menu is complete. Dining upstairs is a truly elegant way to start your evening. I recommend that you make reservations but I have gotten in last minute on a Sunday night before. Recently this Sunday before the last showing of Pippen we came for a shorter meal. I just had a Kir Royal and the sea scallops. The soups are amazing here. I kind of watched with envy as a lady from the table across from us finished some French Onion soup. I wanted to try the fish bisque, but we simply didn’t have the time this time. I did have the French Onion before when I came here before I saw IF/Then in Preview in 2013 and I still remember how good it was. The service is always professional here. When it is warmer you also have to option of dining outside. There is a café downstairs if you want something less formal too. This is one of the few restaurants in DC that make my superior fine dining list. I will be back for more pre-theater and special dinners here in the future.

I ate here with a friend for Restaurant Week. First things first: The ambiance is absolutely what this place has going for it the most. Namely, it’s part of the Willard and dining al fresco means sitting right on Pennsylvania Avenue, a stone’s throw from the White House. You can see Freedom Plaza and the Commerce Department building and a bunch of other landmarks. It felt quintessentially Washingtonian. I arrived earlier than my friend and was pleased to be seated right away, outside. I enjoyed the bread basket(points for being generous with the bread; we enjoyed a few basket refills) and a glass of prosecco. My friend also had prosecco when he arrived. Restaurant Week, of course, includes a starter, a main and a dessert. We each had the field greens to start, which were topped with candied walnuts, a tangy dressing and breaded balls of goat cheese. The cheese made the salad(of course, it’s cheese), but the portion was generous and the greens were crisp. It seemed to take forever for our food to arrive, which is mainly where the star docking comes from. The pacing felt off. My friend had the eggplant and I enjoyed the lamb kebab with couscous. The couscous was fantastic, well-flavored, not mushy and accompanied by just the right number of raisins. The lamb was tender and flavorful. The portion didn’t look that big on the plate, but it was filling. We had crème brûlée for dessert, which was orange-scented and came with a delicious crispy cookie. The gap between the salads and mains aside, the service was lovely. We never lacked for water or bread. The atmosphere, as I suggested earlier, was also great. I think what separates Café du Parc from other French places in the city is that it isn’t the«French» aspect of it that sells it; it’s the aforementioned location and atmosphere. This is where I’d eat if I wanted a power meal or convenient meeting place. If I wanted to splurge on something that felt French, I’d go to Le Diplomate or Bistrot du Coin. The food was delicious, yes, but if it’s the French angle you want, there are better places. This was, by my count, my fourth Restaurant Week meal since I’ve been here. Another hit!

After a walk around the Mall and cherry blossom at Washington Monument, Café du Parc is a relaxing lunch spot. The onion soup is cheesy and hot as it should be. The $ 19 burger lures me in. I have not tries other foods but they do look good. Spring has sprung in DC. What a lovely day it is.
