I followed Frederick here when he moved from another location. He’s the best barber I have found in DC after trying tons of locations. I don’t know the other guys, but the clientele seem happy here and its a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Never seems to be super busy so even walk-​ins probably wouldn’t have to wait too long here. Convenient location near the metro too.

I am very particular about who I let cut my hair. I went to Brookland barbershop, I let a barber name Frederick cut my hair. I was nervous because I’m a white guy with straight hair and to cut my hair, you have to know how to cut with shears. Frederick did an Awesome job!!! I highly recommend this Barbershop & Frederick!!!

As a loyal and dedicated customer since 2006. Gerald has provided superb cuts to me and my friends. The prices are reasonable along with a professional and neighborhood vibe (aka: atmosphere).
Neighborhoods barbershops like the Brookland Barbershop are becoming extremely rare and I believe in supporting local businesses that are hidden gem.

I went there today Sunday at 2:52 pm. It was closed. No posted operating hours sign. Nobody answers the phone.
