This place is the spot! Great bagel selection. Good food. Reasonable prices. I ordered a bagel sandwich(egg, bacon, and cheese). It came out piping hot and perfectly toasted. I got a hash brown which came in the form of one like Mc Donald’s which was a pleasant surprise. When I was there I saw a bunch of coed’s in pajamas nearby so if that’s your thing, cool– it’s not mine. Its tiny in here so there is a good chance you won’t be able to sit there so get your breakfast to go, but definitely get something because it’s worth it.

I used to live in the NoMa area, and Bagels & Baguettes was one of my go-tos for a filling weekend breakfast. Fresh orange juice and bagel sandwiches at a reasonable price is sometimes just what one needs. Check out the specials for something a bit more elaborate. This local joint provides a certain level of comfort — I really like known that B&B is loved by everyone in the neighborhood. Did I mention they have hash browns(like the McDonalds ones)? Yum!

I’ve come here pretty regularly(3 – 5 times a week) while interning. It won’t blow your mind, but the food, coffee, and smoothies are all pretty solid. The prices are fair enough and the people who work there are nice.

This is a cute little neighborhood place that we found while exploring DC. They serve breakfast bagel sandwiches all day, so if you have a craving at 3pm, you won’t be disappointed. The bacon egg and cheese on onion bagel was so freash, cheesy, and delicious that I would absolutely get it again. My dining partner got a sandwich with cheesy potato and broccoli soup that she absolutely loved. The line was quite long, even after the lunch rush, so plan accordingly.

I have to give this 5 stars because it has NEVER disappointed me. I always crave Bagels& Baguettes on the weekend, and every time it’s solid. I usually get sausage egg and cheese on a jalapeño cheddar bagel and it’s a great deal– less than $ 5 and huge. The home fries– greasy excellence, highly recommended. The have a frozen vanilla chai drink that’s also super delicious, but I try to hold back so I’m not overloading on the calories. They make the food quickly and right in front of you. The bagels themselves are the best I’ve had in the city. Thanks B & B!

After nearly a week of heavy hotel food, I really wanted something light and local. While this didn’t satisfy the«light» requirement in any way — it was local and so 100% definitely not hotel food that I didn’t care. I went on a run around the National Mall(which is gorgeous in the morning!), and had looked up directions to this place to build in a little detour on my way to the hotel. It wasn’t busy, but it may have still been early because I can’t imagine this place not being popular. What really sold me on picking this place was that they had breakfast bagel sandwiches and that’s exactly what I was craving. And yum! They did not disappoint. I sprung for a bacon, egg and cheese(plus cream cheese… hey, I just ran!) on a wheat bagel. It was of course plenty of food to hold me over until lunch and even then I only had a light lunch. I don’t remember the exact price, but I remember it was surprisingly cheap and I was incredibly happy. Two thumbs up.

If I had not used Unilocal prior to my visit I would have never stopped in. It’s easy to pass by, but you should not. A legit classic bagel & sandwich shop. Since I’m from NYC, I love a good bagel and this spot delivered. I ordered the egg & cheese on a toasted everything bagel with a side of lite cream cheese. It came out hot and delicious. I ate every bite and had I not been touring around, would have brought s dozen bagels home. A must try for quick, delicious, inexpensive breakfast.

I had wanted to come here after doing 9 miles and before touring the Folger Shakespeare on Saturday but ended up trying this place after the three hour tour. Boy, was I hungry and ready to eat! I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel, and my sister ordered the Philly’s Steak. We each had a half of each sandwich and found it really good although the steak sandwich could have had more meat and a little less or no mayo. The bread for that sandwich was delicious. The bagel was a little burnt, and both sandwiches took kind of long to make. There’s a lot going on in here. Printed signs are posted above and behind the workers. There are handwritten signs all over the place and it is a little tight in terms of seating. One good thing is some A/C, which provided respite from a very hot outside, where there is patio seating but only two of the tables have umbrellas. The chocolate croissants are some of the largest I have seen in the area but it seems people stuck to some bagel sandwich for their order, even at 1:30 pm. It also is pretty close to Union Station, although I’m not sure you’d notice it too much unless you’re familiar with the area or are looking out for this place.

Really enjoyed our Saturday morning visit to B&B! The bagels are fresh and notably flatter then a typical New York bagel, but flavorful and fresh nonetheless. My favorite bagel by far was the French toast bagel with lite cream cheese, delish! Also tried the fresh fruit smoothies, which were very good. Looking forward to our next visit! Additionally, if you get there early enough they offer previous day bagels for a discount, perfect for freezing!

Good for a quick breakfast, open early, fast service. The place is small but the food is good, but kind of pricey

I really enjoy this place. It’s a block off Union Station and very convenient for breakfast or lunch if you’re in the area. It seems to get a good crowd, but I’ve never seen a line more than 4 – 5 people any time I’ve been there. Since good bagel options are pretty slim in this city, I really like that they have a selection beyond plain and everything. They have egg bagels, which are my absolute favorite, but they will never meet my NJ– bagel quality standard. I am a big fan of the jalapeño bagel though. Not an option you see too often, but it’s quite delicious and complements a sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich very nicely. This has definitely become my breakfast stop before work if I’m craving a serious breakfast, so I’ll definitely be coming back here again.

LOVE this place! Sadly, I no longer live near by and can’t get my weekly bagel and lox fix(AGH!!!). They make an AWESOME bagel with lox sandwich… the best I have ever had — it is loaded with lox and toppings! Also, the sausage/egg/cheese bagel is enough to last you until dinner! Soooo good. Now, you must know the place is divey, not fancy and you may leave smelling like a bagel, but it doesn’t matter since the end result is awesome sandwiches/bagels. After writing this, I want to get in the car for a road trip, so I can have a bagel with lox! Cheers!

This is an absolute neighborhood gem!!! I love my bagel with lox, and this definitely one of the best places to enjoy it. Also — I love their healthy shakes and their baguettes are incredible. I am still enjoying my baguette 5 days later!!! Don’t be fooled by the simple interior– it is really really delicious. If you have out of town guests and want to pick up breakfast — this is the place to go. There are plenty of places to sit if the weather is nice, but otherwise it will get pretty crowded and would be better just to pick up and enjoy the deliciousness at home. A wonderful, simple, hole in the wall yummy place! Enjoy :)

AMMMAZING! This place was packed when myself and 5 other friends went to check it out. We had heard about it through the Unilocal app and decided since it had such great reviews that we had to go. Thankfully we were not disappointed because our expectations were up there. Being a vegan/vegetarian I find it can be difficult to find places that either have an item or two on the menu that you order or can modify. They were very willing and able to accommodate my request and I had a very delicious breakfast sandwich loaded with veggies and hummus. I was not disappointed. My friends ordered various other dishes from the menu which looked equally as yummy. The pancakes looked delicious and my gf said they were nice and fluffy. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who hasn’t been to DC and is looking for a great place to eat. I will for sure be back if I ever visit Washington again!

People undervalue one of the greatest benefits of being in a relationship, and that is sharing food items that you both want but couldn’t(or shouldn’t) consume on your own. When I was single I was always ordering more than I should just because I still wanted to try as much as possible, but it definitely had repercussions on my bank account and my belly. Now that I’ve got a lovely woman to share everything with, I can sample away and know there’s someone happy to split(almost) everything(not containing mushrooms) with me. Enter Bagels & Baguettes on a typical Saturday errand running morning… I was actually having one of my rare Bojangles cravings(my fast food weakness), but we couldn’t find a decent parking spot near Union Station on our way out of town, so since we found a spot near B&B we decided to give it a shot. It’s in our neighborhood yet we had never thought about going in, probably because the hours we would likely come are typically filled doing other things. I’m a huge bagel breakfast sandwich fan, but having nothing but lackluster bagels in the area over the year has squashed that love to some degree. I had high hopes for Bullfrog Bagels that opened on H Street, but was massively disappointed with their product. The lineup at B&B was very promising, and the line almost out the door just as indicative of at least a decent product. My choice was easy, a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel(my default go to choice, unless I’m craving bacon instead). But wait, they have specials! And then I see what I really wanted, a breakfast burrito filled with steak, potatoes, peppers, and a chipotle sauce. It sounded so good! And now my friends, you see the wonder of having an eating partner who doesn’t mind sharing. With only a moderate amount of convincing necessary she ordered the burrito, and I was able to have my sandwich, and the world was right for a moment. In the end I would be hard pressed to say which item I actually preferred more. The gooey, greasy cheese, egg, and sausage combo was just what I would want to start out a rough morning in place of coffee, and the burrito would be perfect on a weekend when I’ve got plenty of chores lined up to help burn through its mass. Either way, you can’t go wrong, although I will note that the bagel itself is still far from perfect, but it gets the job done and is sufficiently stuffed. The place itself is quite small, and I should note that it’s no longer cash only. Although they do not give you an itemized receipt and we’re pretty sure they overcharged us for some items, but we were in too much of a hurry to argue, and the line behind us served as enough of a deterrent regardless. Just pay careful attention when you’re being rung up in case you spot similar discrepancies.

Went here on my way to Union Station just a couple blocks away. I had a bacon, egg and cheese on white bread for $ 4.72 and an iced chai for $ 3-something. The sandwich was nothing to write home about but the chai… oh the chai!!! It was somewhere in between milkshake and liquid and it was wonderful. I ended up tossing half of it due to calorie guilt; I wish I would’ve just ordered that as my breakfast. The space on the inside is pretty small so not a good idea to go if you’re more than 2, but getting a sandwich and eating in the nearby park is probably acceptable. They DO take cards and have a $ 5 minimum.

Wow. AWESOME. I went around 8:45 on a Wednesday and expected a line out the door based on the reviews but I was third in line and was served very quickly. Everybody must start their day early or this place doesn’t get enough foot traffic past it. So many great options on the menu but I hit this one down the fairway and got a bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel, a chocolate chip muffin, and an iced coffee. Everything was out of this world. I wish I didn’t discover this on my last day in DC or I would be going out of my way to come back here each morning. Service was great, prices were reasonable, it’s located a stones throw from Union Station and the Capitol. What else more could you want.

Many thanks to my fellow Unilocalers for pointing me in the direction of Bagels and Baguettes. Located only a few blocks from our hotel B&B was the perfect spot to grab breakfast before our drive back to NYC. The line wasn’t too crazy when we arrived around 11… which gave us a couple minutes to check out the menu. I think there were about 10 different types of bagels, 5 cream cheeses, breakfast sandwiches, smoothies, coffee, etc. I definitely suggest an egg bagel with strawberry cream cheese. The bagel was light and crispy. The strawberry cream cheese was incredible. Smooth, creamy, best I’ve ever had. I hope they make it in house… Hubs tried a sandwich loaded with ham & cheese. It looked soooo good I almost regretted not ordering one. Huge piece of ham, super cheesy, so savory! We also ordered a side of home fries to share. So good! Seasoned nicely with salt/pepper and chopped onions. I think a small dish cost us a couple bucks but they were so worth it. Our grand total for everything was $ 10. The place isn’t anything fancy but I think that’s all part of its charm. Loved the neighborhood vibe and the patio out front. If we lived in the area this would be a regular Sunday spot for sure.
