I wish that I could give Apple carry out zero stars! I’ve recently ordered from this carry out and the woman who answered the phone was extremely rude. My husband and I had food poisoning from their food. I will never eat there again as long as I live!!! After this experience I may not eat carry out ever again.

Poor delivery service. It took more than an hour to get the food delivered, so the food was lukewarm. The delivery person was lost and did not understand English well. Then the food upset my stomach. I will not be using this restaurant again.

DONOTORDERFROMTHISPLACE! I wish I didn’t even have to give a star in order to post a review. I am a concierge in an apartment building, and have worked in retail. Because I know how difficult people can be, I am normally very understanding and not overly demanding. I ordered some simple things, half and half, a 6′ cheese steak with fries and 3 wings with fried rice. It took over an hour for them to deliver my food. Upon arrival, the order was not complete. When I called back asking for the missing items, they said I would have to wait another hour– hour and a half, which was not at all acceptable when my order was originally scheduled to be delivered within 25 minutes from when it was placed. While I was trying to explain this, the woman got rude and hung up on me. I called back many times, with the same result of her hanging up on me. I called the driver to see if the items were in his car so he could bring it, he yelled«I don’t know. I don’t know.» and hung up. I will be spreading the word to all the residents in my building not to order from Apple. Their loss. The food is nowhere near good enough to put up with that kind of rude behaviour. P. S. I am writing the review the same night this incident happened because I am that put off.

Is there an option for negative stars? Where do I begin to explain the ways that this place should never be patronized by anyone ever again? Maybe the crappy delivery service that took 2.5 hours to deliver? Or maybe that when my food arrived the egg drop soup had opened and ended up all over the bag and soiled the other food? Or perhaps that when I complained about the service and the soup Apple refused to provide any refund. GrubHub nicely stepped in and did compensate me, but this restaurant sucks in every way possible — avoid at all costs!

I actually had plenty of time before work to try a meal rom this place called Apple Carry Out and decided to come here this past Saturday(June 21st) because it was right across the street from my Walmart job and I had plenty of time to grab a meal to go for my lunch break that comes at 2 a.m. on my overnight shift. I ordered some food around 9:19 p.m. to allow time to receive the food before my shift started at 10:00 p.m.(I ordered some orange chicken and shrimp fried rice). The Pros: the shrimp fried rice tasted good, the cashier taking my order was polite, and everything was priced fairly. The cons: I finally received my food around 9:40 p.m.(20 minutes later), even then the sauce to the orange chicken tasted fine, but the chicken could have been cooked more(it was too undercooked/red for my tastes, I would politely request if I was to come back if my meat could be cooked to a more golden texture). I am reasoning that maybe it was because of the long line that was already inside Apple Carry Out even when I arrived to order something before work I decided to take it home(after my overnight work shift on Saturday entering into Sunday morning) and cook the chicken to eat before work the next day(on Sunday night) but my husband wanted to try the orange chicken for himself and asked me to leave it for him. I obviously gave in because of my love for him and figured I could always order something different in the future. I am not sure yet if he planned to eat it(because I still saw I in my fridge last night, which would be too late for me to eat for my tastes). Anyhow, I would go back but only when I have at least a half or more to eat and order something different from the orange chicken(due to the fact that I at least enjoyed the shrimp friend rice).

I love the food here especially the orange chicken, really good, the rice too and the egg rolls. The wings. This is my favorite place. It’s not a high class place but it’s good. It’s not dime in but has a table and 2 chairs

I must say this little neighborhood carry out really surprised me. I ordered one of my fav Chinese Food dishes, sweet and sour shrimp. I’ve had sweet and sour shrimp from a couple of spots near my new apartment but this restaurant makes it the best by far! I think this may be some of the best I have had. I called to place a order around 10:49pm not knowing that they closed at 11. The guy on the phone politely told me if I could make it in 15 minutes they could help me! Thank GOD, because I was starving. I knew where Apple was just from being from the area but never eaten there before. It’s not the prettiest but I’ve seen worst! When I got there the young guy in the front actually came out and gave me some conversation! Anywho, there was something different about the way they cook the shrimp. They don’t use the same type of batter as the other Chinese food restaurants I’ve been to and I really LOVEDIT! The batter was crispy, airy and light, it wasn’t heavy at all. They gave me about 10 shrimp maybe more, white rice and sauce on the side. I also noticed that the sauce was different also! The sauce was more watery and didn’t have that jelly stuff in it(not sure if you know what I’m talking about) but it was really good! I had shrimp left over, and any other day I’d throw away fried food but I figured I could re-fry the left over shrimp and they would be okay. I was soooo right! I refried the shrimp and they were just like they were the day before. I really enjoyed my meal from Apple and will definitely order again.

This was actually a lot better than I expected! I’ve had some really so so chinese food since moving to DC, but this is in the neighborhood and really tasty. I had the moo goo gaipan with chicken and the meat was fresh and all of the veggies(Except the mushrooms) were super fresh! The sauce wasn’t too heavy and the wonton soup was great too! I had an egg roll and my roommate got the beef with broccoli. All in all, this is a great option for takeout Chinese food. I can’t speak to the speed of the delivery or anything like that, but we went during the Hurricane(Frankenstorm) and not only were they open, but they were nice and cooked everything to order! I will definitely keep this on my list!

This spot is actually alright, for a chinese delivery place that looks so hood on the outside, theyre food always taste pretty fresh, deliveries are always hot and nice staff. Now you know that’s hard to come by with take out joints, so try it if you dare, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, not the best but better than most other options.

The staff are super friendly. I recommend the vegetarian lo mein and the fried rice. The exterior of the place isn’t all that appealing… but the vegetables are super fresh. I like the food for take out.
