Advanced Computer Support

Everyone here is very attentive and very knowledgable about computers AND software. Mr. Fard (spelling?) was super helpful and was able to put together a very affordable yet powerful computer for my new graphic design job. Needed a computer graphics card capable of handling the demands of 3D modeling and design. I Use CAD and modeling software that needs a fast clock speed. Everything was great and he even checked on me to make sure I was happy a few weeks later.

Mr. Fard was extremely helpful when my external hard drive went dead on me. It required a couple of tries to get the problem corrected, but he didn’t stop until my issue was resolved. I hope I don’t have to see him again for a very long time, but I know I have a reliable resource for my computer needs when something goes awry.

My laptop screen’s hinge randomly broke off so I was not able to open my laptop to access my files. Mr. Fard was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kept me in the loop throughout the process. He was not only able to give me access to my files and removed the hinge so that I could use the laptop, but he also communicated daily with my laptop manufacturer to negotiate with the company to give me a brand new laptop for a fraction of cost! I will definitely be returning for future issues.

I don’t go anywhere else for my computer and software needs. Mr. Fard and his staff are very knowledgeable and have really quick turnaround times. My business doesn’t slow down so I expect a computer solution to be quick and precise. I recommend anyone who works in such a technologically advanced world to go no further than ACS for all their computer needs. A+

I dropped off my 5 yr old MacBook Pro at Advanced Computer Support after it mysteriously stopped working. I was given a free diagnostic of the computer, and forewarned about the repairs it needed prior to starting the work. 3 days later my computer was brand new and taken care of for a reasonable price!

These guys are awesome. They fixed my iPhone no problem. Courteous efficient and really nice

The folks at Advanced Computer were true lifesavers. My dog knocked over my laptop and cracked my screen. I am working from home and recovering from surgery and so I almost had a break down. The folks there fixed my computer in under 3 hours and even delivered it back to me. I am so thankful — I just had to write a review on brand new display!

I found Advanced Computer Center via Unilocal of course. The reviews were all positive and I had just left the geeks at the big electronics store and they were kinda useless.
My laptop was no longer charging and it looked as if the power cord connector was broken. The geeks told me they weren’t sure what the problem was and if it was the connector/​prongs, they would have to send my laptop back. I was pretty uncomfortable with that especially because they couldn’t tell me exactly how much it would cost or how long they would have my laptop.
So, to Unilocal I went. Not sure why I didn’t do that first, but thank goodness I did.
Advanced Computer Center shares space with a Kitchen Remodeling store. So, don’t get confused by the address and the store front. Advanced Computer Center was in the back of the store. The gentlemen who I assume is the owner and the technician was super friendly. He looked at my laptop and immediately could see what the problem was. He quoted me a price and told me when I could expect a call to pick up my laptop.
As promised they called to tell me my laptop was fixed and I could pick it up. I’m typing from my laptop right now. So, that should show you that I’m a satisfied customer.
I would definitely recommend Advanced Computer Center.

When the sound started to go on my last laptop, I took it to Mr. Fard, who initially quoted me something like $ 400 and 4 days for a motherboard replacement. Two days later, he called me to tell me he’d found another solution that would only run me about $ 50, and it worked out great. Mr. Fard is spectacularly honest, charges reasonable prices, and turns computers around super quickly. I can’t recommend him enough.

My computer died out of nowhere and I needed to recover some files immediately for a deadline. The owner was very friendly, told me to leave my computer there and even called me an hour later to tell me he had the files and I could come over. I am only giving him 4 stars for the price. I guess since I was in such a rush, it was probably worth it though!

Mr. Fard was not only incredibly kind and respectful, but he approaches his work with great care and completeness. My laptop was repaired and returned it all within 24 hours, even though it required new hardware and labor. The price was more than fair considering this quick turn-​around and the cost of the parts.
Thank you for bringing my laptop back to life and making this technological hiccup almost a pleasurable experience.

We’ve had many computers fixed here over the years. Fair, timely & honest. Always fixes the craziest of issues. We’ve made the mistake if using geek squad and other in home services and they are a waste if time & money. We’ll be back! Just be careful about parking out front on Wisconsin ave at the meters– you Will get a ticket after 4pm on weekdays!

The screen on my laptop was giving me trouble, so I checked into a couple of the larger computer repair outfits that serve my area. Both would have required sending it out for diagnosis and repair, which would have cost $ 35 to $ 49 right off the bat for shipping or pickup/​delivery and take a week or two or even longer. So I started looking into small, local places on Unilocal and came across Advanced Computer Center, just a couple of miles from my home.
I brought the laptop in on a Friday. The owner immediately assessed the problem as a faulty screen and said he’d open up the computer, check whether he had the right screen in stock, and get back to me. He called back the next day and told me he had ordered a replacement. The laptop was fixed and ready for pickup on Tuesday, and he charged what I felt was a very fair price. I would definitely use ACC again for any computer problems I have.

$ 180 dollars later…
It’s not Advanced Computer Center’s fault that I was an idiot and bought an Asus. Or that I dropped said Asus last year. Or that my replacement hard drive from the fall putzed out after a year’s worth of light usage.
And for having to deal with an unpleasant situation, the owner of ACC made the experience as painless as possible. Turnaround was two days: one for diagnostics, one for installation. I like that the office is open from 9 – 6, which made it easy to drop off on my way to work (other stores in the area, including Best Buy, don’t open until 10!) and pick up after work. I like that they called to tell me what should happen before barging full-​steam ahead at much cost to me.
I don’t think they’re any cheaper than going to Best Buy, but I feel more comfortable dealing with someone who has obviously been doing this for years. And, you know, dude’s gotta keep the lights on.

Recently my computer hit that «getting older» stage when it started to massively overheat and shut down quickly. I took it here to get it looked at, and was very surprised to find this gem of a store.
The owner was the one who helped me, and he really took his time to answer not only questions I had about my current computer, but let me pick his brain about his opinions on computers in general and some other techy things that I am not savvy about. As another reviewer posted, he is a very friendly person and is very pleasant to interact with.
He wound up giving my computer a dust off for the heat, and I also had some RAM added to my PC to run at a higher speed, and added some extra GB of hard disk space. All in all the service was quick, my computer ran beautifully after taking it home, and I was surprised at the level of personal attention, friendliness, and speed of service given to me.
Highly recommended, and I am definitely bringing my computer back here the next time it needs some tune-​ups.

My computer had become so slow as to be unusable; I brought it to Advanced Computer Center and they fixed some software problems and cleaned it up so that it is practically as good as new. The $ 90 I spent to extend the life of my computer was well worth it. In addition, the gentleman I dealt with was extremely pleasant and friendly.
