A Sharper Image Barber Shop

As a lady with a short haircut, it was excruciating finding someone to cut my hair properly. I always wondered why my boyfriend would travel to the depths of Maryland and pay upwards $ 25 just to get his hair touched up. I went to two barbers prior to A Sharper Image, one who butchered the back of my neck as if he were Freddy Krueger, and another who was a little too excited with the clippers and left me edgeless. But as usual, never doubt it folks, third time’s the charm.
The barbers and their clients are very respectful, which makes me comfortable as the only female in the room. Curse words aren’t flung across the room, nor is there degradation of girlfriends or the like… it’s just men being men, having a good chuckle. My barber is Earl, and he is incredible. I’ve been to him twice and have been very satisfied. He is clearly experienced with female clients, my hair is pretty much against the grain but its feminine and befitting. I even recommended him to my mother, who decided to take the plunge and get the same haircut as me. We’ve had pleasant conversations about family and he’s given me invaluable life advice. I appreciate the rapport we’re establishing.
My only qualm: it has nothing to do with the barbershop but I wish there was a way to remove all the hair from from my face… but that’s my fault for wearing foundation and not expecting the hair to stick. I just give myself a good cleanse after in the mirror and I spend the next two weeks feeling incredible!

Best Barbershop in DC!!! Very Loyal and entertaining barbers!!! Never a dull moment… Get one cut there you won’t go anywhere else…

To put this shop in perspective, even though I don’t live in DC anymore, whenever I’m in town I make it a point to come and get a cut. Mike is my barber there, but it’s a rarity when you find a shop like this where all the barbers can cut. There’s a reason why athletes & newsmakers make this their shop, but even with that said, it still maintains that neighborhood shop feel.

If you looking for a spot to get a nice cut without any hassle, this is it. I have been coming here for a couple of years now and a Sharper Image has the perfect balance of professionalism and the old school barber shop feel. I make appointments (with Mike) and never have to wait. You can watch ESPN or soap opera’s. Conversation can range from the go-​go concert last night to the new Nike foam posits to why Obama is better than Hillary.

I have been sending my boys to Mr. Errol for almost half of their lives. The barbers here are great, warm, and friendly. It’s best to make an appointment because walk-​in wait times can be a bit lengthy. Prices are average barber shop prices. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a great cut among a great group of barbers.

Great barbers. Loyal customer since 2000. I’ve had the same barber since I was a 10^th grader in High School. The Barber Shop has barbers which can all cut.
