Ritter’s Frozen Custard

I always love stopping at Ritter’s when I have to travel to Ft. Wayne. It’s a great roadside shop, and the flavors change daily. Today I tried mocha almond fudge which was awesome.
Ice cream, frozen custard, frozen yogurt… frozen goodies in general just seem to unify the world. Pass out cones, and suddenly the surliest of folks have smiles on their faces. That is also why people watching at ice cream shops (or shoppes) is the best.
Today I saw a group of people, kids and adults, and one of the adults was covered from head to toe in tattoos. In fact, half of his head was tattooed a solid blue, including the eyelids! Normally, I would have probably been a bit fearful, but as blueman licked frozen custard from a waffle cone,… I realized he was, for the moment, harmless.
Ah… life lessons on the road.
