Sunrise Inn

Looked for a place to grab some food in Warren late on a Saturday, and this was open– liked it; good place to eat, good prices.
Header here says «Pizza, Italian» but it’s more than that– has quite a long menu, as well as of course a full bar.

Very nice and always clean. Out of a hundred vs I prob got 2 bad meals. So it is really good and large meals the wed soup 95% of time really good. Pizza all good

The food is yummy! We frequent this place several times a month! Love the spinach pizza and Greek wings! Their burger menu is always changing with fresh ideas and tastes, you just have to see their burger menu to understand what I mean. The service is usually good when you eat it, take sometimes takes a long time! This Warren institution won’t is well worth the stop!

Always a good fast and tasty meal. Have to try the Old World Pizza with Romano Cheese

Classic Warren hot spot. Love the pizza. Love the atmosphere. Lots of great Italian American fare and also some Greek American items on the menu. Decent banquet room for low key, casual events.

Not for breakfast. With a name like Sunrise, I assumed b’fast was a strength. Perhaps breakfast isn’t a strength. Service appeared understaffed. Breakfast options fairly meager. Food took some time to arrive, but when it did, it was tasty. Bloody Mary’s a bit small. I’ll try lunch or dinner another time

One of the best pizza places in the Youngstown/​Warren area. You have to get the Brier Hill pizza with pepperoni. You could get slices of pizza and they are pretty cheap.

Sunrise Inn is another Warren Ohio must. Their brier hill pizza is famous and is another thing that Warrenites crave when they leave the area. As of recent days Sunrise modifies it’s burger menu to the entertainment coming to the local area. If they have it on the menu a bowl of their potato soup is excellent.

I love visiting my family just so we can eat at Sunrise! We went 3 times in one weekend and I enjoyed every meal I ordered. The garlic chicken is my absolute favorite!

Best pizza around. They have a bigger selection than just pizza. I’ve had the chicken wings and they were delicious! It’s definitely a classic pizza place in Warren. Must try at least once!

Today, I was short on time, but needed some lunch, so I stopped here since I remembered enjoying pizza here years ago. I explained to the server that I was in a bit of a hurry, and she took that to heart. I ordered two slices, and she said it would take just two to three minutes to hear it to serving temperature. She was exactly correct, and served me a slice of Old World and a slice of their White pizza. Both were heated just right, and had a crispy kind-​of deep crust that was delicious! The Old World had a wonderfully spiced red sauce with good pepperoni & Romano sprinkled on top. I added some red pepper flakes & extra cheese from the table. The White pizza had lots of mozzarella, garlic, & other flavors that were a nice mix. Each slice was only $ 1.95, and the service was exceptional at 2 in the afternoon.
They had an extensive menu, and everything looked good, but I can only share my take on ordering a couple of slices.

Always have a good meal here. Extensive menu usually means mediocre quality — not the case at Sunrise! Pasta dishes are very good, chicken alfredo is the best around. Pizza (including stuffed pizza) and burgers are all great. Pizza burger splash is ridiculous (in a good way).
Service is always good, as is the atmosphere.

On my recent trip to Warren, I was excited to find a restaurant that was well received on Unilocal and also had a liquor license. My experience at the Sunrise Inn was fine, just nothing exceptional.
My group of six dined at the Sunrise Inn prior to a concert at the Packard Music Hall. The restaurant reminded me of a diner since there was a lot of variety in the menu.
Although it wasn’t listed on the menu, I was able to order an eggplant parmesan sandwich. It was fine. Nothing bad, nothing great. It filled me up and hit the spot. I was able to substitute a cup of Italian Wedding soup for French fries. The soup was okay. It reminded me of canned Italian Wedding. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, just not necessarily a great thing.
What stood out to me the most was the service. Our waitress seemed genuinely nice and was attentive our entire visit.
I was able to enjoy the Great Lakes Christmas Ale draft which was local and seasonal.
Overall, I had a good experience at the Sunrise Inn, just nothing special.

Yummy! When I don’t have sunrise for a while I crave it. I think most people do around the area. I always get the greek pizza.

That is some really tasty pizza. Reminds me of Chicago deep dish style except not as thick. Chicken is really good too. Had the wedding soup and that tasted good as well.

As classic as it gets. If you are in Warren, you have to have a meal at Sunrise Inn. There are so many choices on the menu, but I always go pack to Eggplant Parmesan and am never disappointed. Wedding Soup is very good too. The place is like a slice of Warren history. Always a stop when I am home visiting my Mom.

What can I say about Sunrise…
I lived in the area for awhile before finding the jewel that is Sunrise. Hands down one of my top 5 pizza places. The traditional is awesome, but the Greek pizza for me takes the cake. I love it! Im not a huge «pepperoni and cheese» pizza person. I’m more into different toppings. The Greek is just amazing. It has feta cheese, olives, banana peppers, tomatoes, and Italian dressing. I’d eat this once a week if I could.
The actual food at Sunrise is good too. I love the bread bowel salads, and the fried veggies appetizer.
If I had to have a complaint it be the prices. Little higher for pizza. And the wait, it could be over an hour if you’re waiting to pick up pizza. I understand why, but it’s still annoying.

This was hands down my favorite place to eat on my first trip to Ohio! This location is in a small town and definitely has that small town, everyone knows your name type feel. The restaurant had plenty of parking and a full bar. After checking the area on Unilocal for a place to eat and reading about the garlic-​chicken and jojos then seeing pictures of the awesome specialized «Brier» style of pizza (think deep dish Chicago but the cheese is on top) I knew we had to go!
The Food…
When the waitress arrived I said I wanted to try the famous garlic-​chicken and jo jos. There was no description on the menu as to what exactly that was (I was thinking chicken with a garlic sauce… wrong!) but I was game to take a chance and try something new. I love trying food that I can only get in a certain town or area. She said no its basically fried chicken cooked in this pressure cooker I think and jojo’s are basically seasoned and fried potato wedges. OMG SO GOOD!!! Like the best fried chicken and potato wedges ever! I will quote Robert K. «The garlic-​chicken and jojos are bonkers good… I mean slap ya mama good.» LOL! He couldn’t be more right and that sentence is what sold me on ordering it — thanks Robert!
My friend got the Gnocchi w/​Meatball and she loved it, I tasted it as well and it was very good. Her sister got the Pizza Burger Splash which is exactly what the name says a burger between slices of their heavenly pizza covered in sauce… now this was a huge meal we all got to have some and let me tell you it was awesome! I will be ordering that next time I am in Ohio for sure… after I get my garlic chicken of course lol!!!
The service was very fast and friendly and the place was very clean including the bathrooms! Definitely want to come here for some good home cooked food!

My hometown favorite place to go to when I’m back in Warren, visiting family.
For as many years as I can remember I’ve always go the same thing here every single time I go. Chicken Parmesan with French fries. Random I know, anywhere else I would get it with pasta but here at Sunrise it’s my thing, and I love the sauce!
The pizza is great too, you can order a full one or just a slice. It’s the best, it’s different and oh so tasty!
This place has been a staple in the city of Warren for I don’t even know for how long and I love this it’s there and it’s a place that has plenty of variety to choose from on the menu, and everything you order will be a good serving of food and tastes so good!
