Good takeout. Not greasy and good prices. General Tso’s chicken, fried rice, and egg rolls were delicious. Also does not use MSG which is great, Would definitely go again

Great place. Very good food. Great owners (Kelly and her husband). The place is always clean and has a friendly environment. Their take out/​to-​go business is crazy busy. Food is always good, fresh and reliable. Whenever I am in this area, I know I will get a good meal at a great meal. Lunch specials are VERY affordable. Give this place a try. Kelly will great you at the counter as her husband makes your meal to order.

After trying a few Chinese restaurants in middlesex and being very disappointed, I gave up looking here and widened my search.
China city is on way home from work: and when I looked at the rating (4+ stars) I decided to take a chance.
I’m so happy I did!
We tried egg rolls. Very nice! Crisp, not greasy.
Veggie fried rice was very tasty.
Won ton soup was good. (Won tons could have used a little more filling.)
The general tso’s chicken was excellent! Just the right amount of sweet and heat!
Overall, a great experience! We will be back. I think this is going to be our Chinese food go-​to place.

I love the food at China City, always fresh, always delicious, the owners are courteous & friendly. So happy to have such a delicious Chinese restaurant close to me if I could give them ten stars I would. Hands down this place is top shelf my go to place for chinese food!!!

Good for take out or a really casual sit down. I usually get the steamed chicken with vegetables. They are super quick and offer hot tea while you wait. This place seems clean, and the workers are friendly.

Best Chinese in warren. Get the general tso’s trust me its the best you’ve ever had. Reasonably priced, with great hours for a restaurant in warren. Would recommend highly if you’re looking for great Chinese takeout

I was pleasantly surprised to find a new Chinese restaurant that I haven’t tried in my area. I decided to make my order a takeout.
I spoke to a nice lady by the name of Kelly.
She took my order and my food was ready in less then 15 minutes.
When I walked inside of China City 2 everything was neatly displayed and easy to read. You see they have pictures of their most popular dishes right above where u place your order. They also have a full menu whether u eat in or takeout.
I was greeted by Kelly when I arrived. She was very friendly and courteous. She even reminded me to take some soy, and duck sauce and any utensils I would need.
I found China City 2 to be very clean and organized.
When I got home I unpacked my food. Everything looked so good. My daughter had an egg role and I tried it. It was very crispy, lite and yummy! She also had the general To’s chicken. One of the best I’ve eaten in a long time. It had all the right spices and wasn’t greasy. I choose the chicken and broccoli. It was delicious! The sauce on my chicken was very tasty. The chicken was moist and tender. I especially liked that the pieces of broccoli that were all the same size and cooked perfectly. I also ordered the wonton soup. It was loaded with wontons and the chicken broth was flavorful.
I will definitely be ordering from here again. This will be my new Chinese restaurant of choice.

I lived in Kaua’i before, so Ive learned all the asian food places in NJ are all a joke for the most part! The food is not that good at China City, but I’m going out of my way to give a bad review to the RUDE LADY on the phone there that answers the phone usually. IF YOU WANT TO RUN A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS, DON’T BE RUDE TO POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS GENIUS! I will go out of my way to make sure all the people I know who go to this dump wont be doing business at China City for being so rude. Thankfully there’s 2 others garbage Chinese spots in Warren for people to go to.

My wife and I always got our Chinese Food from here UNTIL, I became very sick with Campylobactor! It was caused by my food being contaminated by raw chicken juices! I was sick for 15 days and the Warren Twp Board of Health made me fill out a report. I wasn’t allowed to go to work because of this disease. I can’t believe this place is still in business! STAY AWAY Unless you want to get sick too!

Best Chinese food in the area. Since moving here 10 years ago, I changed places frequently due to lack of taste and freshness. China City II is so good and tasty.
They do pick up only, but it’s worth leaving your house to go get it.

We may have a winner. I’ve lived in Basking Ridge for 5+ years and really hadn’t found my go to Chinese take-​out restaurant. Enter China City.
I’d been to a few places that were decent in the area, but I hadn’t found «The One». China City may be it. I was actually persuaded to come here by the positive Unilocal reviews. Granted there were only four at the time, but I still decided to give this place a shot. My wife and I stopped in here on a Sunday night — same strip mall as the Coldstone in Warren, if that gives you a reference point. I was surprised to see how clean the place was — pleasant surprise number 1. We picked up a menu and it’s your pretty standard Chinese food menu with a few minor tweaks here and there.
Whenever I order Chinese food, I’m all about the variety. We ordered the General Tso’s Chicken, some Lo Mein, pork fried rice, eggrolls and some won ton soup. General Tso’s and the Lo Mein were on point. Very good — I will definitely be ordering both of those again. It didn’t taste as greasy as some other places, so that’s definitely a plus. The pork fried rice and the eggrolls were pretty much standard but they were still good. The won ton soup was definitely a disappointment, though. I’ll probably pass on it next time and may give the steamed dumplings a shot on a future visit.
Overall, I was pretty impressed with this place and I will definitely be coming back. The service was incredibly quick and relatively friendly, but most importantly, I’ve finally found some very good Chinese food in the area.

You have never eaten truly fresh, quality chinese food until you have tried China City! OMG! Delish! When they first opened, my husband wanted to try it because he heard great reviews about the other China City location. They really take care preparing their food, and we always receive a great meal and healthy meal. You really can taste how fresh their food is! This is the only chinese food place we will eat from!

this is my go-​to for lunch. solid 5 $ luch combo that fills you up and keeps your wallet flush. clean environment, tasty food. fast service. I heart this place.
Kelly th owner mans the store like a magician… she is quick to smile as she is multitasking a busy lunch crowd. shifting from speaking mandarin to english to spanish without missing a beat.

Fast, good standard Chinese takeout. Finally! We have one in Warren.
