Hotel Warm Springs Bed & Breakfast Inn

Took my mother to Warm Springs for the weekend and stayed the night at the Inn. Everyone was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the history of FDR. For what must have been a grand old hotel in its day, I do wish that more attention would be made on preserving and restoring the original character. Seeing some of the old paneling painted country blue made me sad, as did the country stenciling throughout. While my room was affordable and spacious, the mattress wasn’t very comfortable. While there was free wifi, the Internet connection was spotty depending on where in the building you were. Breakfast was a pleasant experience, dining with other guests. And the grits lived up to the hype — some of the best I’ve ever had and the best part of the breakfast.
