This place is good and reasonably priced. Special avocado scramble was excellent. Country fried steak was a little over done but home fries and eggs were excellent. Service was outstanding

Absolutely amazing! Riverside Café is a small and homey breakfast/brunch spot with great service and food made with love. The service was great from beginning to end, with attention to detail and refilling coffee as needed. I could tell the locals came here a lot and people knew each other by name. Customers are treated like family! The food was well portioned and didn’t require any additional seasoning. My farmer’s omelette had real chunks of ham, and the potatoes were tender and yummy. The home fries were perfectly crispy and retained the fresh potato flavor. Their coffee was well rounded and not bitter, just right. New England coffee with free refills and they even offer you a cup to go! Drinks are served in mugs like what you might find in your cabinet at home, which gives a nice homey feel unlike the typical generic mugs in most restaurants. Prices are very reasonable and we tipped a little extra for the great overall experience. Would definitely eat here again next time we’re in the area!

Came here a little while ago for the first time. The wait staff is very friendly and the place is nicely decorated. However, the food really leaves something to be desired. I ordered an eggs benedict with spinach and when it arrived I was not impressed. I couldn’t see the eggs or the english muffin as it was swimming in so much hollandaise. I like hollandaise, but not this much and it was too watery. I also have a gripe with the fact that they use solo cups for all the drinks other than coffee. I don’t see how that’s cost effective not to mention that it’s EXTREMELY wasteful and I doubt that they’re recycling all the cups. Not a big fan of the food or the non-ecofriendly cup situation.

This is a wonderful homey café with great food and excellent service. Six of us walked in with no reservations. People worked hard to find us a nice table and were super friendly. The cinnamon raisin toast and morning glory muffins were delicious. My one suggestion is that I wish they would offer«real» maple syrup instead of the maple-flavored corn syrup. I would gladly have paid an extra fee for that.

A family spot! The mocha mint coffee was magnificent! The food was like having grandma get up at 5:00 to cook it for you! We will be back!

I have been there for breakfast many times they have unique flavors of coffee specials every day. The special yesterday was monkey bread french toast. I did not order it but the person next to me did and it looks so freaking yummy. There hollandaise sauce is homemade the Accord beef hash is home made there baked beans are homemade and everything is fabulous. The owners and everyone that work there are so friendly and want to make sure you’re happy with everything. I love this place it is the best breakfast place around too. Love you guys

I usually would go to a Diner for breakfast, just something about them. But met a friend here for breakfast and it is better than any of the diners in the area down there. Been two times now both were weekends. They tended to be very busy but the staff was very attentive. I get a standard fare kind of thing when I try out places eggs, sausage toast, homefries all of their items spot on! Another important thing, the coffee was on the better side for small places like this and both times I was there they kept the cup full without me asking at all!

My hubby and I went to Riverside for breakfast and were extremely happy. The food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. The service was beyond extraordinary with 3 wait staff helping us. Our coffee cups were kept full, we were checked on frequently, and the staff was super friendly. We could tell they had some regulars that frequent the place. We love Riverside and it’s our new favorite place for breakfast in that area.

First time here and based on a Unilocal recommendation. Absolutely fantastic all around. Had monkey bread French toast on a whim and well worth it. My wife got a huge and very tasty western omelet. Hand cut home fries were great. The service was fast and friendly without being pushy. Great local feel

I have only been to this place once, but decided to try it out since there are not many choices for breakfast nearby. They honestly have some of the best breakfast food I have ever had! I went on a Sunday, so naturally it was going to be a little busier, but I still received awesome service! The ladies who work here are great, and even though it was busy, they still made sure that everyone was attended to. The home fries were also very delicious, and I am very picky about my home fries!

Warm, welcoming atmosphere. Friendly is not nearly adequate to describe the charming and –dare I say, playful staff. Great breakfast options. Full to the brim plates. Banana caramel pecan French toast — ’nuff said YUM Chicken quesadilla with homemade chips. MmmMm Mini plate perfect for grandma’s appetite Flying pig very very tasty but prevents post meal take off. Pumpkin coffee offered — iced or hot-and consumed greedily. If you are looking for a great place that offers more than it sells, stop in.

Came here only due to Unilocaler’s recommendations. This place is super cute. Nice décor, comfortable feel. We were quickly made aware that the place is run by two sisters, the friendly one and the sassy one. The rest of the staff and the customers joked around with the sisters and clearly had a great camaraderie with the sisters. We were made to feel right at home. We ordered the Irish Benny, and the sausage, mushroom and cheese omelet. And well, um… YUM! Holy moly! So good! My Irish Benny was to die for! The boyfriend really loved his omelet. Really stellar prices and great portions. We will return over and over! Well done!

So let me be honest right up-front here: I don’t go here because I love the food. It’s not bad, mind you, but it’s still not why I go. I frequent the Riverside for four reasons: (1) My Little Girl likes going, (2) The prices are great, and, (3) Because of Danielle, the awesome waitress who knows everyone’s name, everyone’s order, and all that’s going on with everyone. It’s heartwarming to be in a place where there’s kindness and caring and good-natured teasing and where you’re greeted by name. As to the food: the portions are generous, the food tastes good, and the menu doesn’t have a ton of healthy options, but it looks a bit like most of the regulars are there more for the portions and taste(and maybe Danielle) than they are for healthy options. Oh, and they’re glad to give you a coffee to go if you ask with no extra charge. Small town #awesomeness. You should give them a try.

My updated review, Well how times have changed. What a great little breakfast place this has become. I’m glad I have tried for the second time. Great personal service with super friendly staff. Oh don’t let me forget to tell you how good breakfast actually was. Very good homemade hash and the pancakes were superb. Plus the free coffee to go wasn’t to hard to handle. Keep up the good work Riverside. I will be back.

As good as it gets, the food is superb and the service is fantastic. I’ve been to quite a few breakfast joints, went to a different one every Sunday for years. Riverside café is without a doubt the best breakfast spot within a large radius of Wareham. All the food is fresh, homemade, and delicious. The servers are happy, playful and attentive, The coffee is off the hook I asked for green Tabasco the first time I went and they didn’t have any. Next week they told me they got some just for me and its been there for me ever since. I’ve never experienced service so personal, they really exceed all expectations

Riverside delivered on exactly what you would hope for from a small town family diner and then some! The food was great, hash was home made with huge pieces of corned beef! Everything came to order and was delicious. The staff is amazingly friendly and the whole atmosphere makes you feel just like a native who had been there 100 times. They even gave me free coffee to go when I left! I you’re looking for breakfast, I definitely recommend!!!

There is little doubt that this was unquestionably the finest breakfast I have had out in quite some time. For starters, the corned beef hash was just magnificent, easily the finest I have ever had in my life. The eggs were good, but the pancakes were just out of this world as well and I couldn’t even dare to put any syrup on them, now THAT is saying something. Just a light butter and you’re good to go with them. They also have a pumpkin caramel for a special which it’s only unfortunate for me that I didn’t see them early enough. But I will be back again soon. This is a marvelous stop in downtown Wareham and I can only hope it is just the start of some good times for meals on the main strip.
