Love the Maya. Always good drinks, always good food. Guac is delish. Can’t go wrong with any of the quesadillas. YUM.

To start, the food was pretty good. We got a bean burrito and a brisket quesadilla. However, the burrito was a bit pricy at $ 15. The dining room was a little loud with blaring music and guests shouting at each other to be heard. The whole place was sitting in a fine cloud of smoke, presumably from bbq’d meats and sizzling platters. We asked for more salsa that was never delivered to us. Granted, it was a busy Sunday afternoon, but our server did not come around to deliver our check. We asked another server for our check but we eventually just walked up to the front to pay.

Came here again recently to celebrate a family event. Enjoyed sitting outside. The top shelf classic margarita and table side guacamole were stand outs!

The food and service were excellent. I suggest the Mexican corn on the cob as a tasty appetizer. The fish tacos were a lovely blend of sweet fish and Mexican slaw, and chile cream spice. The chicken Pipil was very tender and delivered a fresh and lightly spiced taste. Just a lovely dining experience.

Skip this place!!! I had been here in the past and enjoyed the food. However, today’s experience provided an entirely different atmosphere. After seeing a movie, my wife and I decided to stop in for a bite to eat. I figured we’d be seated relatively quickly since we could see people leaving. The young lady at the door told us that she had a table for us when another girl came over, looked us up, then down and told us that there’d be a ten to twenty minute wait. The first girl told her that she had a table and they both shared an awkward glance as if there was something else that was going on. During this time, three people came in after us and the first girl sat them immediately. I asked the second girl how were they able to seat them considering we were first and we had a smaller party of only two. She informed us that, because of the table sizes, they couldn’t sit us at this time. Wait, so two people take up more space than three?! On what planet?! I could understand if they had a table for five people and a party of five walked in and were seated ahead of us. This was an entirely different story. It honestly seemed as if the girl was annoyed at the thought of bringing us in there for some reason. This is completely unacceptable, and, as we were walking out, the second girl let out a sarcastic«I’m really sorry…» Yeah ok, I respectfully treat people as I want to be treated and I’m not about to allow some smug, college-age kid to give me steerage class treatment. I’ll gladly spend my hard earned money at a nicer restaurant that treats it’s would-be patrons with respect.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Wappingers. I have had a wide variety from their menu and most have been great. I especially liked the shrimp with fresh fruit and the made to order guacamole. This place is simply great.

Food was really really good! I’m living in Fishkill for the summer and plan to stop by many times while I’m here. It’s crazy, but my favorite thing was the chips & salsa! The salsa is absolutely incredible and I probably could’ve just eaten that all night. I ordered the quesadillas which were really fresh and also delicious. We came on a Saturday night and it was pretty packed but we were very well taken care of!

Went to have a family dinner. They serve complimentary Chips with the best homemade Salsa I have ever tasted. Menu includes a great variety. Had the Verano Quesadilla which is loaded with Shrimp and comes with Sour cream, Guacamole and a Salad. Had a Pacífico Beer to chase it down, which was light but tasty. Best Mexican food in Dutchess County. And don’t forget to purchase some Chips and Salsa to go. Great snack.

I’ve driven past here daily for years and came for lunch this week. I had quite a nice meal. Everything was tasty, and properly prepared. My only complaint, and it’s splitting hairs really, is they served chips and fresh salsa instead of bread, and the salsa was actually quite good but had a bit too much cilantro for my taste, and I’d have liked a bit more heat, but I get it that they at Re making it for gringos, which I am one of but still like more heat than average. I had a well balanced margarita too. Reasonably priced too. I recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed. Get the table side prepared guacamole. Yum.

My go-to Mexican place in Wappingers! I always get this delicious cheese stuff– it is called something like«Sabina Fontina». I don’t know, but it is always on the«specials» list. It is melted cheese with beer and mushrooms. SOTASTY! I like to eat it with the chips and salsa they give you! Eat it with a margarita and it is even tastier! However, I could do without the creepy guys smoking cigarettes out in the parking lot, saying weird stuff to me as I walk in. Last time I went, they told us that we went in the wrong way or something strange as if they had some authority there. If they work there, I don’t even know what their position is, because they were literally hanging out by a broken down car, smoking cigarettes, looking unpresentable. I actually have not been back to this place since that happened, because I would prefer to avoid that…

I come here just for the salsa. AMAZING People are friendly, and atmosphere is chill. Parking lot can be a pain in the ass but it is what it is. I’ve had guac and shrimp empanadas(get 3 in the app, nice portion size) in the past and both are mighty tasty. Still my overall favorite is the salsa. When I eat the salsa over the guac, that’s an explanation in itself! Haven’t had a full entrée as some are kinda pricey for a basic quesadilla or whatnot, but from what I’ve seen and smelt, I’m sure its just as yum factor! I make a point to come in for a few beers and an app with all the salsa I can manage to eat: D

I think we’re a little spoiled here in the HV, what with our improbably large Oaxacan community — we get some really good Mexican food. Café Maya is no exception, they turn out great food. The Wappingers location is especially awesome in the summer, when you can opt for an outdoor table. A couple of margaritas on the rocks with salt(don’t you dare get a blended one… not because they make a bad one, but because it is a crime against margaritas!) to start things off, close your eyes, and point to something on the menu. You can’t lose, really.

To start, this place is very pricey for the kind of food they serve. Other similar Mexican restaurants in the area serve food of similar quality for a lot less money. It is so LOUD inside. Neither me nor my partner talk particularly softly, but we had to almost yell to hear each other over the noise. The music plays too loud and when the place is full(like it was when I ate there) it just is a tremendous amount of noise. The food was definitely good. My partner ordered an Sour Cream and Chicken Enchilada. His portion was very large, and he enjoyed it a lot. I ordered the Cheese Quesadilla appetizer. There was a lot of gooey cheese, which I like, but it was topped with something that tasted a lot more like marinara sauce than salsa. We also got the Nacho app which was tasty but lacked imagination. It could have been a lot more stuffed with cheese and beans for how much we paid for it. We also ordered a small side of guacamole, and that was a good amount for the two of us. This is the kind of place you go to with a group of people. If you’re looking for date night, it’s not really that great. I bet on a nicer night, eating outside would be significantly more pleasant than eating inside, at least as far as noise is concerned.

How do you say«freaking amazing» in Spanish? Cause this place is just that. I love this place I don’t even know where to start! Their plates have weird combinations I will admit but it doesn’t matter because it all tastes so good. Staff are always nice! Restaurant is always clean and food is always fresh. And I don’t even like Mexican food but I love it here

The place looks lovely they have a nice view in the parking lot, maybe they should put some tables out in front of the view. The food was good we went for brunch and in the menu it said you could get a complementary mimosa or some other drink with your brunch but the waitress never offered to me and i didn’t ask for it either. Other than that brunch was good.
