We stopped in here for a quick lunch. Service was friendly and helpful. The food selection small but to the point. I think I could have tried anything on the menu and liked it. The caprese panini was awesome and the tomato soup was homemade. It’s worth a try if you are in the area.

I’ve been driving through Walton most of my life with no reason to stop there. Well now I have one. I needed something for lunch but got way more than I asked for. I had the cowboy burger with sweet potato fries. Every but of the meal was delicious. Good sauce, perfectly cooked burger with tasty bacon. The fries were even better than the burger! Crispy but still soft with sea salt. And then the check came and it was tiny. Super affordable prices for fantastic food. Don’t pass it up. I’ll be stopping here as often as I can from here on out.

I agree with Jamie and Caitlyn that this is one of the best places to eat in Walton. The owner and staff are friendly as well. The specials change up quite a bit. The burgers are a standout, and this is the only place in Walton that has Izze beverages

Had the falafel wrap special. Amazing! Who knew there was such great food in Walton. The fries were homemade and crispy. Nice atmosphere. The weekly emails are great and are the reason I stopped in with my fiancée in the first place. Lots of options for this vegetarian. Yum!

I love the Penguin! Some of the best lunch in town, very reasonable prices. Friendly staff, great environment, awesome food and ice cream! :-)

On our way to Cooperstown we were looking for a place for lunch that was outside the normal burger/fries fare. The Penguin is off the main street, so you need to look for it although I am sure all the locals are hip to its location. The waitress was very friendly and the food was fresh and tasty. We had two very hearty soups that were obviously home made with care. The spinach quiche was excellent and the fall salad with butternut squash was a nice mix of nuts and greens. We left with a chocolate chip cookie for the road. Prices are very reasonable. Good find in this part of the State.

Always love having lunch here. Good salads, wraps, panini, etc. Haven’t had dinner here that many times, but what I have had has been good. Burgers are great — a little messy because they’re so big, but that’s not a negative. Ice cream is great too, with custom flavors galore, but if one of the owners doesn’t make it, the consistency is off(varying amounts of product). Service is usually good, and again, better when the owners are around, who are very friendly and eager to please. Kid friendly, casual, and a nice spot with plenty of parking. We go often.

Yums! (homemade?) hard Ice cream, blended on-site with your choice of flavors… paninis, sweet potato fries… Not sure about the quality or provenance of the ingredients, but we always enjoy going here. (They have a kids’ menu, but it’s it not on the regular menu)

This place is impressive… I visit Walton occasionally for work and this place has stolen my heart for lunches. Great sandwiches, delicious soups, and their dessert menu is massive(I’ve been able to resist so far, but am beginning to break). Service is always fast and super friendly. They’ve got me hooked.
