Went here on a cold winters day and got the Thai noodle duck soup that warmed me right up. I also got an avocado smoothie to cool me back down. Both were very delicious.

I love you Tom! Phở beef noodle soup is the best! I was sick and the phở made me feel a ton better. Pad Thai is awesome. Friendly good looking staff too! The spring rolls are on point with the dipping sauce.

This has got to be the worst place I have ever ordered from. My friends and I ordered from this place at 6:00pm. They say it will be delivered in 45 minutes, but it was nearly two hours before the food arrives. During this two hour period, we have called the restaurant multiple times, only to have them reply with an excuse like traffic. However, the driving time from the restaurant to my university is only 10minutes. They take two hours delivering food and expect us to pay them? We ended up not buying the food and changing to asiawok instead, because at least they can be punctual with the food.

0 stars $ 38.00 plus delivery charge and tip; 2 entrees +1 side and did not get any rice??? Called restaurant. Employee said was not included… I have never ordered any meal from any Asian/Middle Eastern themed restaurant and not had rice included… Will not order from Tom Can Cook again and will be sure to share my disappointment… If they had apologized or made the effort to explain I would be appeased… Did not happen… Beware of poor service

There have been only 2 or 3 times in my life where I have gone outside of my normal comfort zone when eating out. I usually keep to steak and some fried seafood. I recently had the absolutely unbelievable experience eating at Tom Can Cook. The food was incredible. The owner Tom Boston is a hands on owner. He not only orders and pick’s up his produce and seafood items fresh daily he also oversees the menu and dishes as they are leaving the very well maintained and clean kitchen. Tom is often found out in the dining area getting feedback and offering advice on dishes based on your discerning pallet. He is often seen bringing out the food that he just prepared and cooked. Tom Can Cook. The restaurant has a unique menu that is Asian fusion and Tom will and can cook whatever the customer wants. I give this restaurant«Tom Can Cook» 6 stars across the board out of 5. Try this great place to eat just once and you will be back for many, many more times. Ask for Tom. He will hook you up. Prices are very reasonable and the food is way above average. I travel from Manchester, N.H. to eat this great food.

Mixed feelings about this place. The staff is super friendly and very prompt. The food is great, but only when I dine in for some reason. I live down the street from here so I come by here pretty often. I’ve ordered more than half the menu, but my favorite would be the tamarind duck, pad thai w/crispy chicken, tom fried rice, the glazed chicken wings, and crazy noodles. Things are usually great here, but when I order take out, the food had no flavor. This happened to me three times now, so I tend to go and dine in. It’s a fantastic place for a quiet dinner.

Don’t be intimidated by the sketchy curb appeal that Moody St. offers. This restaurant may not look like much from the outside but serves up some excellent Thai food. For those of you who aren’t culinarily adventurous, there are some basic Chinese food options as well as basic American options. Also, be on the lookout for some online deals for this restaurant; I’ve seen deals advertised on several sites. And if you use the LevelUp app to pay you’ll get $ 4 of your check.

Just got back from lunch with my boyfriend! We had Tom Yum soup and it was delicious. Tasted just like how I remembered it from Thailand. I had crab rangoons as well, which were pretty good, but I probably would order other items. They brought me some miso soup on the house! I had tofu pad thai and it was spectacular. I ordered it super spicy and they delivered. My boyfriend ordered the«Wild Boar Basil» and it was fantastic. Seriously wonderful. The wait staff is so kind. We will definitely be back when we’re craving Thai food!

Such a delicious eatery with cheap prices. The waitress was very attentive throughout our visit, serving us extra water when our glass was still ¾ of the way full. The restaurant was clean and pleasantly decorated. The kimchi was crisp and fresh. The seafood sundubu was absolutely delicious: fresh clams and chewy shrimp. The only caveat was it was on the spicy side: a «mild» was probably two spiciness levels up. Good for spicy food lovers!

Food is fantastic and service was very polite. Whole restaurant smells of jasmine. The Wild Boar Basil dish was excellent and used some old Thai spices that aren’t common in many Thai restaurants, such as fresh green peppercorn on the vine! Tom Yum soup was very delicious with super tender and juicy chicken.

Came here hungry after browsing More Than Words nearby. We were immediately greeted and seated after entering, and there was a light crowd with many tables open. Service was quick and efficient with the waitress asking us what we want to for drinks and then coming to check if we were ready. While I came in here looking to have Korean dishes, they do not have a wide selection. Many of the dishes are fusion and a combination of other East and South Asian influences. I do love how spicy they make their chicken, though! It’s clean, quiet, and food was delicious despite not seeing what I wanted in the first place.

I’ve ordered from Tom Can Cook a few times. It’s either hit or miss. When it’s good it’s really really good, and when it’s bad it’s bad. The green tea latte is always delicious. The house rice is great when it’s done right, and is full of different veggies and meats. The chicken teriyaki could be better, and the glazed wings are crispy and spicy! Take out takes forever so I suggest pick up. All in all Toms is good.

Good food and attentive service at fair prices. We had a table of five for a work lunch(only a few other tables were occupied at 1 p.m. on a Thursday though). I had the mango curry with tofu and it was quite tasty — mango is a nice addition to give a sweet counterpoint to a yellow curry. Pretty presentation too — with a carrot flower garnish at the edge of the plate. Mango curry is listed as one red pepper as far as spiciness goes, and it was right on. Two other people in our party had the crazy noodles, which they liked, but felt it was hotter in some parts than one pepper, which they asked for, like it had been blended with another batch that was hotter, since the dish is on the menu as three peppers hot. The miso soup, which came with every dish, was a decent starter; a fairly bland broth was livened up with tiny tofu cubes and chopped scallion. Overall, a nice lunch experience — we need a new regular Asian place on Moody Street since Erawan of Siam, our haunt of several years, has closed. Lunch with tip for five was about $ 60.

Had delivery while at a friends house. Ordered the chicken Phở — not impressed. Where’s the spicy sauce? Can you include some non-weird pieces of chicken too? Ugh. The gyoza were also gummy.

Great place to come and get dinner I’m Vietnamese but Tom’s phở remind me of my mothers it’s been a while since I had some really good phở. Took me back to my childhood where my mom made phở every Sunday. The atmosphere is amazing the wait staff was great and the owner can’t speak enough about him. I would recommend anyone who is in Waltham looking for a good restaurant to not be shy and stop into Toms. Tom you defiantly won yourself a new customer see you next time.

Everything we had was delicious. Sat off hours there was one other customer in the restaurant. Staff were nice and attentive. the food did take awhile but because it was all made fresh to order so no complaints there. So deliciousness: miso soup, crispy squid skewers, korean style fried chicken drumsticks spicy glaze, French fries, and the fancy pineapple pork. The fried chicken was as good as bonchon, which was a big surprise. Not rock your world, but wholly satisfying and worth a trip back.

I came here to eat by myself one night,(not by choice, I travel for work). The service was ok, but the food was so good that I just had to bring my husband when he came to visit. The service was waaaay better the second time around and the waitress even gave us a sampler of a new dish that they had just put on the menu. Everything was delicious as expected and we will definitely be coming back again before we leave Massachusetts.

We had a Groupon for Tom Can Cook, so we gave it a try. I wish I could give 4 stars for food and 2.5 for service, but I will average it out around 3 stars. We arrived for an early dinner(Moody Street can be scary late at night) and were only one of two couples in the restaurant. We have learned that an empty restaurant rarely translates to fast service, even though you would think so. We were seated right away, but were not approached by our waitress for about 10 minutes. When she did come to the table she asked if we wanted water and left, even though we were ready to order our appetizer. There was quite a language barrier so asking questions about the food was an exercise in futility. Bottom line: The food was very good, the service not so much. I would suggest take out vs. dining in.

I don’t know what other people are taking about. This place is great. The food is good, the prices are reasonable, staff is a little slow with English, but who cares? We stopped in on a whim, and it was the perfect no frills Asian food place. I’m not looking to spend a fortune, and I’m not looking for a server who is always at our table«checking in». Everyone at my table enjoyed themselves, and really, there’s not much more you can ask for.

Came here. I was starving. Got seated right away. Got the Pad Thai and my friend did as well. The portion was alright, I wish it was bigger. The noodles were perfectly cooked and it came with generous amounts of peanuts and bean sprouts. I wish there was more chicken and shrimp though but oh well. It definitely hit the spot for about $ 10. Tom can definitely cook.
