This review is solely for Preeti, who I’ve been seeing for over 10 years. She’s AMAZING!!! I want to keep this place under wraps(so she doesn’t get too booked up) but I’ll never go to anyone else for bikini waxes!

I was initially very surprised at the size of the salon and how very busy it was when I first walked in. The look from out front is very deceiving. Everyone is great from the very first instance. Preeti is wonderful and does a great job waxing and a very nice pedi. I would suggest this salon to anyone, and have.

Di Re Hair Ltd really is ASGOODASITGETS. LOVE. MAGICIAN First and best part: I’ve been working 15 years with Katie Shaw for hair color, cut, & foils. She’s a magician, & can customize hair for quiet professional looks just as well as more rambunctious, bright modes too. Color & cut always looks amazing and lasts many weeks. She finds fast, inventive solutions for new hair challenges, too, and is pleasant and comfortable to be around no matter how busy she’s been. Highly recommend. I’m also prone to straggly eyebrows; Preeti is wonderful at making brows look both tame and natural too, with threading. Fast, easy. Preeti’s also very talented with mani/pedi too. The salon has a casual but special feel: comfortable but somehow an occasion too. Very good at supplying diverting reading material, glass of water, & product suggestions. A wall of glass facing west adds to airiness of the space: quite pleasant to have natural light. Don’t let the somewhat pedestrian strip mall location discourage you: Di Re is as good as hair care gets, anywhere — and is just off the highway(Route 128⁄95) so access is easy. You’re gonna LOVE how you look.

Total«Meh. I’ve experienced better» place. I used to watch Tabatha’s Salon Takeover and I learned a lot of basic things to look for in a well-operating or poorly-operating salon. This salon had a lot of checks on the negative side. The stations were not clean, neither were the brushes. My stylist Trish did alright job on my hair, but I was cringing at the glob of someone else’s hair hanging from the blow dryer while she worked on me. I didn’t get an apron until after the shampoo, so my wet hair dripped all over me. And the price for a blowdry and some curling was high at $ 55. I was short on time and staying at a hotel nearby, but even so, I wouldn’t recommend someone to come here.

This Salon is a little on the Pricey side($ 35 dollars for a men’s cut), but the quality is worth it. Donna First asked if I wanted a coffee, tea, or glass of water. She could tell exactly what I needed just by looking at my hair and how I styled it. She asked a few clarifying questions about my preferences, and we were off. The whole appointment was under a half hour and it started on time if not a little early. I have very thick, straight hair, and she is one of the few stylists who knew to use thinning shears without me asking. She also noticed my cowlicks, and made sure not to cut the hair too short in those areas. Bonus: They are open until 8pm on weekdays!

Top notch salon in a hidden spot, but it’s really worth finding so get your mapquest app out and get it! Nicely appointed waiting area, super friendly staff and reasonable prices. They also use fabulous product so your hair ends up with healthy stuff in it and smelling fabulous! I called in and they set me up with Monica. She’s a beautiful Italian girl with fabulous curls who loves her job, you can just tell. She talks and is vibrant and so sweet. I really would not see anyone else if I were you. I get my hair blown out twice a week at home(in Vegas) and she comes as close to the top of anyone I’ve ever had do my hair. She’s just an expert. My hair was shiny and smooth(well, as smooth as it could be in humid Mass) and was so soft. Mmmm. Loved it. I am an expert on hair and this is one of the best salons I’ve ever been to. If I win the lotto I’m taking Monica around the world with me to do my hair! Fabulous salon!

My two bridesmaids and I did our hair last weekend for my wedding. It was amazing! I didn’t know how I wanted my hair, so I looked at the styling books when I arrived. I picked out my hairstyle and she made it look wonderful. I have flat long hair that was put in an updo with curls. One bridesmaid has very very curly hair and it got placed up in a very attractive updo, minimizing the volume of her hair which was perfect for a very hot humid day! Thanks so much!

UPDATE: I did hear back from the salon, two days before my wedding. I appreciate that they did get in touch but it was a very mixed message(kind of apologetic, but also a bit accusatory; offering to bring me back in to make it right, but 48 hours before my wedding). I do want to note that I sound pretty angry in my review, and my language isn’t the nicest. I thought about editing it but ultimately, this was an honest reflection of my experience. I’m letting it stand, keeping in mind that two stars on Unilocal is, as they note, «Meh. I’ve experienced better” – not«aaah the world is ending.»(I did take out one line that was a little unnecessary at the end!) — — — — — – Perhaps you should just go here for other services Unilocalers recommend, but I tried going – based on the glowing reviews here – for a bridal hair and makeup trial and could not have been more disappointed. Neither the stylist(Trish) nor the makeup artist(Preeti) paid any attention whatsoever to what I asked for, and both were very resistant to make any changes and just told me they could do things differently on my wedding day. Um. Not the point of a trial. Maybe it was late in the day and they wanted to go home, or had bad days, whatever, but it sucked. Plus I went with two friends and they were made to feel about as uncomfortable as guests could possibly feel – in a basically empty salon. I left feeling absolutely terrible about myself, with an updo that frizzed out within two hours, and makeup I washed off when I got home it made me so unhappy.(Also: when a makeup artist stabs you in the eye, it happens; but they should probably say a quick«sorry» rather than point out how now they’re going to have to redo your bottom lid liner.) I left a voicemail at the salon saying I was unhappy with services and canceling my bridal appointment. They did not call back. Two weeks before my wedding and $ 125 invested, I have to find somewhere else to go. Two stars because the salon uses high quality makeup, and people were generally friendly.

Honestly I am a guy who for the longest time stayed far away from hair salons. I used to go to the same barber no questions asked and got a decent cut that made me look fine. Now I have just finished my third haircut with Marialisa at Di Re Hair Ltd and I am TOTALLY converted and won’t get my haircut anywhere else, and only by Marialisa. She totally changed my look and brought me into the hip haircut culture to revamp my style and remind me that getting a haircut can be fun. Great haircut and great price, and mention the Unilocal page and there is a discount. Yes I’m a guy. And yes I will SWEAR by this hair salon. I found it after work one day driving home from Bear Hill Road. I am going back to college and won’t be around, but I have made sure to make an effort to only get my haircut here. They are professional, friendly, and very customer oriented. The Stylists will even greet you by name, and give you a follow up call afterwards to make sure you are satisfied. Marialisa called me on my birthday and wanted to make sure I liked my new cut. My family, cousins, aunts, friends, grandmother, guys, and girls have all asked where I went. And I say«just go to Marialisa and Del Ray Hair!» Someone said it is like I am a «WHOLENEWME»(whatever that means ;)” and everyone has complimented me on my new dew. 5 stars. Guys, go here. Ladies, now I know why you go. Don’t let the salon style scare you. They have a really big male clientele and Marialisa knows how to cut guys hair(I’m sure they all do but I’m a fan of Marialisa). :) Guys… just thought I’d update you. My haircut is now a few weeks out and it still looks great. Maria Lisa cut it so that it is growing in and looks good with or without product! So I can be lazy and keep it simple and still look good! Hope everyone at Di Re Hair is doing well!

Preeti gave me one of, if not THE best, wax I have ever had. It was quick, painless, and very long-lasting. It might be out of the way, but this is a hidden gem of a place.

I was looking for a good facial place around Waltham and somewhere I could get a quick appointment. I have hit the jackpot ! Preeti gave an amazing facial, she was very gentle and sounded passionate about her work and it showed as well ! Even the extractions didn’t hurt as much as they do at other spas that I have tried and trust me I have tried a lot in the Boston area. The extra touches I loved– the neck and shoulder massage she gave. heavenly ! I will definitely be going back again.

Don’t let the strip mall scare you! I just moved back to the area and read the reviews on Di Re and decided to try it. Many reviewers had high praise for Katie Shaw — so I figured I’d make my appointment with her. Well I couldn’t be HAPPIER with my hair!!! I went in for a color and cut and I LOVE both!!! Katie took the time to really listen to what I like and don’t like about my current color and she offered her opinion and more importantly a GREAT solution! I love, love my color! She did foils adding back dimension to my hair. The cut she gave me is also great — I have thick hair with layers and she cut my hair for the first time as though she’s done it a million times. I HIGHLY recommend the salon and especially — stylist Katie Shaw. Oh and I’m going back next week for a mani/pedi — can’t wait!

The staff at Di Re was amazing to my daughter and me. Recently a family member died and although we were not previous clients, they accommodated us with last minute appointments and treated us with care and respect. Not only were our hair cuts terrific(thanks Nicole & Jessica) but Preedi also gave us complimentary manicures. I have great respect for such a mature, caring and talented staff.

I am a manicure skeptic. I have had SO many bad manicures, and even more entirely mediocre ones that I had just about given up. In my experience, unless you want to shell out serious cash, you’re going to end up with cut cuticles and cheap polish jobs. Having said that, my first(of many to come) manicure with Michelle restored my faith in reasonably price manicures. Michelle’s been doing nails for 15 years, and it shows. She has the sweetest personality, I felt like I was getting my nails done by a favorite aunt, not by a complete stranger. Her nail shaping and cuticle trimming skills are phenomenal, I didn’t have to make any corrections and I didn’t bleed at all(a surprisingly common occurance). Her polish application is impeccable, and she keeps a card for each client so they can remember what color they had last. Di Re Hair LTD’s prices are completely reasonable. My manicure was $ 15, and I added a paraffin treatment that brought it up to $ 25. Definitely worth every penny, and I have NO doubt that I’ll be back many times more.

I have been going to this salon for almost 15 years. The staff are all wonderful and they are very skilled at what they do. Diane is a wonderful stylist and Preeti gives amazing facials.
