A regular here, I stop in on weeknights when its not usually busy for sushi. Average price, service is good, food is above average.

LOVE the sushi here. Always super fresh and great Crab rangoons. Love the quality. And now they have a bunch of new deserts and GREENTEAICECREAM!!! One of my favorites :-) Wait staff is quick and very attentive.

We came here for sushi. The overall food was good. The sushi was mixed and decently priced. Highly recommended the crazy maki. Not a fan of the atmosphere. There were flies buzzing around us. And the plates and cups weren’t matching. And the décor wasn’t the best. Still good food though.

My family was craving sushi and tempura so we ordered takeout from Ginjo. Used the online service Foodler to order. This was fast and efficient and provided me with an accurate pick up time: I walked in, gave my name, was handed my bags and(because I pre-paid online) I was on my way in under a minute! My kids shared a maki combo consisting of spicy tuna, spring and Alaskan maki(6 pieces each). I had chicken and vegetable tempura. Both meals came with miso soup and salad. While the starters were small-ish, the soup was adequate and the salad was crispy and fresh with a nice ginger dressing. I like the tempura breading and the portions were generous(I have enough left for lunch). My kids scoffed down all 18 pieces of sushi so I’m assuming they’re fans. It’s nice to know there is a place in town to get fresh, quality Japanese food!

Never thought of going here before given the location in strip mall but we had many gift certificates from a fund raiser and bought a Groupon when saw the comment here. Solid hibachi entertainment and meal. Didn’t have to wait — Friday night restaurant side was busy but hibachi empty. Heat in room low but they cranked it up for us. Service was good, attentive and didn’t forget us as the only family in hibachi. Kids had hibachi, adults sashimi and appetizers. Lots of laughs and smiles for kids as the meal was prepared. Sashimi decent. Convenient location, will try again(plus we still have more gift certificates!)

Great fresh sushi. Came late in the afternoon and place was empty, so we weren’t expecting much, but we were hungry for some sushi rolls. Ordered the Angel, Saku Saku and Volcano. All three were great. Would definitely come by again if I’m in the area.

Solid food. We came with the groupon and noticed a lot of people did too. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. Everything was solid from sushi to noodle dishes and fried rice. Nothing stood out as awesome but this area has such limited options that we will come back. If you are coming in from the city I think there are more unique options for food in the area so I would not make a special trip but for the area, this is a great find.

Visited on a Thursday evening and the hibachi section was empty. The first issue was how cold the room was — maybe 60. Definitely too cold to be comfortable but it was freezing outside so we stayed. The staff was friendly and we received our soup and salad together. I wasn’t too pleased with the taste of the soup and there was way too much dressing on the salad. The chef came and did a good job of preparing the steak and shrimp dinners we ordered. He put on a decent show but I personally found the shrimp to be overcooked and my pepper steak to be on the bland side. I just didn’t feel the sauces were very flavorful. Since most of the reviews talk about the sushi, maybe that is their strong suit. That portion of the restaurant was very busy. I doubt I will try their hibachi table dinner again.

My husband and I go to Ginjo for sushi a few times a month. Paul, the sushi chef, is awesome! The fish is always fresh and Paul will create rolls not on the menu if you ask! We’ve never tried anything from him that we didn’t like. The rest of the staff is also always welcoming and friendly. We’ve tried many sushi places and find its very hard to find consistently good sushi, even in Boston. This has been our go-to sushi spot for a few years now!

Ordered from here for a work event and was not disappointed. We got the pork fried rice, sesame chicken, pot stickers and the scallion pancakes. The rice had a very clean taste to it and was some of the best fried rice I have had from ANY restaurant. The sesame chicken was all white meat and nice fat portions in a very delicious sauce. Everything was extremely tasty and we will definitely be ordering again soon!

The restaurant was reasonably busy for a Saturday night, so I thought, «Must be good». The menu is much more Japanese than Chinese. Service and attentiveness were excellent. Other than a badly chipped dish, the presentation was also quite good. Hot and sour soup was very good. The calamari came on a dish with a paper doily, which I thought was excellent to absorb any last bit of oil from frying. Deep fried in a tempura batter, unfortunately it was overcooked and rubbery, which is what happens to overcooked calamari. I think Ginjo deserves another chance. I will be back. This is my favorite sushi restaurant south of the city. I’m very particular about sushi and this place is consistently good. Paul, the sushi chef, has a very creative menu including my favorite roll the Mame nori roll with tuna, salmon and mango rolled in soy paper and the nacho cup appetizer that is tuna and salmon tossed Ina delicious sauce and served in a tositios nacho. It sounds weird but it’s delicious. I’d definitely recommend going when Paul works. He is off Monday’s and when he isn’t working the quality takes a little hit. You won’t be disappointed. Oh and sit at the bar to watch him work. Great experience.

First visit on Halloween 2015. Went for a sushi date with my boyfriend. We are huge sushi fans and we are trying to broaden our sushi scope in the area and try new places, this place was our first new place in a while and we were not dissappointed. We were happily greeted at the door and promptly seated in a nice booth by the window, the restaurant was not busy for dine in, but various people came in and out during our visit for take out. Clearly this place is doing well. We decided on three types of rolls(Mame Nori, Walpole Maki & Angel Maki) and a little treat with some chicken fried rice. The sushi was rolled right nearby at their sushi bar where they have great seats that I would love to try sometime! Once our sushi came out I was impressed with presentation and couldn’t wait to dig in! Each roll was so individually delicious and every choice we made was perfection. Then the fried rice came and again, so so so good. Not over soy sauced, perfectly seasoned. Ginjo won my sushi loving heart with simple, fast and friendly service and food that hit the spot.

Came down to Ginjo for some sushi and a cocktail with my wife, had an excellent experience. The Sushi was excellent, the Walpole Maki and a lobster maki. When we were done they brought us some crazy maki on the house. Overall just a great evening, highly recommend!

Wish I could give this place a higher rating but the service was just so slow. Sushi & drinks both get two thumbs up. Couldn’t blame the waitress as she was covering too many tables at one time.

Pros: Sushi is awesome. Crab rangoon is great. Wonton soup is delicious. Service is fast, unless they have a once in a lifetime busy night. They always have living social deals. Cons: Poor meat quality. I like real white meat chicken in my food. I am not sure that I will go back there unless I try hibatchi.

(dated 4⁄13) had a Groupon deal; was excited to try it out. it was a meh/ok experience. walked in on a weekend off hours, 2/3pm maybe? place was empty… even better, personal service! the décor/set up was alright, if «Chinese-y». asked them up front if we could order anything from the menu for the Groupon deal(it was the pay $X and get $ 2X value type); response was positive. unfortunately, the menu didn’t look like they had much special going on – looks like the same 20 ingredients in various combinations… many come with the crunchy stuff which hub couldn’t have, being gluten-free. ordered a couple appetizers and a few rolls; nothing popped out. for the price(spent a little more on top of the Groupon), it was a straight«A-OK» meal, all in all. the restaurant is in one of those supermarket malls.
