This location is very customer service oriented! I will never go back to the Encina location

I generally come here to make copies and to drop off packages since they are so close to my house. The employees are friendly and the printer works fine every time, but the service is slow here, often resulting in long waits.

Service & people are extremely slow in here. Came in to pick a package up for my boss & there was a woman standing around watching another woman work, not saying or doing anything. After 5min of me standing & patiently waiting, she then decided to acknowledge me & ask if I needed help.
Totally incompetent & lack any sense of service/​people skills.

I was in this store yesterday, and was very impressed with the service provided by Dustin Freeman. He was assisting an elderly gentleman with something on the computer, and he was endlessly patient yet not patronizing in the least. In this era of honking horns and instant everything, he gave this customer the time he needed to understand the process. I needed a box for a bubble wrapped bundle, and he came back with it in the correct sized box, all taped and marked with a Fragile sticker. I thought he’d just hand me a flat unfolded slab. Customer service is top priority to me-​Dustin gets 5 stars.

This is a really small store in the Countrywood Shopping Plaza. Honestly, I’ve probably driven past it a million times going between Safeway and Artie’s Countrywood Lounge, but it didn’t immediately come to mind when I was looking up UPS store locations yesterday.
I went in to drop off an overnight priority package that was already sealed, addressed, labeled, and ready to go. I didn’t really want to wait in line just to drop it off so I walked up to the front and asked where I should place the package. The service wasn’t super friendly and I felt a little uncomfortable just setting it on the counter like I was instructed, as the girl walked away. If there isn’t a bin to put a letter sized package in, perhaps the girl could’ve just taken it in her hand.
Either way, it was nice to find a drop-​off location that hadn’t picked up their overnights by 11 a.m. on a Saturday.

How could I not give them 5 stars? I was just here, in and out in a flash, not flash gordon though. I walked in, placed a package down, Karen asked me if it was a drop off, and I was on my way, simple, easy, and fast, whamoo… I’m out the door…

Just had the door closed in my face One minute b4 closing time. The young woman with long stringy hair with red dye, kinda heavy, turned away as I said it’s just a drop-​off. FedEx has my future business. I hope getting to ur Friday night party was worth losing some biz for UPS.

Someone should investigate this business. They are overly priced. I have been having problems with them for quite a long time. Before when it was Boxes Etc it was not that bad. They way over charge for shipping (when compared to the good old «United State Post Office»). Every one-​else (Safeway, CVS, Walgreen, Raley’s, the local store etc) charges the same for stamps as the Post Office except them. I had recieved a package that I «did not «want so I went to return it. This was a reused box from the shipper that had been used «many a times». They told me that «I could not refuse the box «because it looked as though» it had been open. I did explain that the box had been open many times as they could see by the amount of times that the box has been around and the amount of tape on the box from previous shippings but they still «accuse me» of trying to return a box because it was opened.
My dear friends-​the mailing & shipping in this good old U.S.A. started with the United State Post Office. Lets give the boys a hand keep them working. They do a great job. (No one is perfect) I gave them one star because I had no choice

Been using their services for 5 years. Always helpful, can get busy at lunch time and late afternoons with shipping customers.

My boyfriend and I were mailing care packages to our families in Illinois this holiday season. I had heard on the radio that the post office was guaranteeing Christmas delivery up until ¹²⁄₂₀ so we had everything ready on that morning to send. As we were leaving the house, I asked him if we should do the UPS store that he had gotten the boxes from earlier. He said sure so we headed there instead of the post office. The kid who helped us at first was nice but after putting everything into the system, he told us that the cost would be $ 36 a box and would be delivered two days after Christmas. I told him about what I had heard about the post office and asked if I should go there. He seemed surprised this was possible and told me I probably should. At this point, another lady walked out and looked at what he was doing and said to us «Good luck with that» in a very snooty voice. I was very taken back by her tone and attitude. I get that she was upset that she wasn’t getting our business but they weren’t able to deliver what we needed for us. It didn’t seem to be any reason to be rude to the customer! I wanted to support them but it’s not my fault they couldn’t give us what we needed.
In other news, we went to the post office, used the self help machine, and got everything sent with the delivery by Christmas for $ 24 a box.

Came to this UPS store after being turned away by another one. Was genuinely appalled by both experiences — has UPS become the new USPS? I’ve had better experiences at the DMV…

I have been shipping with UPS from this location for several years — the people here are nice. The last three times I shipped, the packages ended up costing a lot more than they should have (I ship for my business and know what most box shapes/​sizes/​weight runs). I asked the girl helping me if the prices had recently gone up and she said «oh yes» and that each UPS location is a franchise and can increase to a certain extent as they please. I won’t be shipping from here again. Will be trying other locations and back to USPS.

Great UPS store! The staff is very helpful and friendly. It doesn’t matter whether you are mailing a letter, shipping boxes, trying to make copies… they are ALWAYS professional, bend over backwards to help, and make sure you leave satisfied. Sometimes it seems «they are slow» but I’ve observed they are taking the time to be sure everything is just right.

Great UPS location! I drop off or ship packages from this store multiple times per week and the service is ALWAYS top notch and professional. I have complete trust in the staff at this UPS store as well as the UPS drivers for this location! They also provide USPS services if needed and allow Priority Mail package drop-​offs which has proven very helpful and a huge time savings for my needs! Cannot say enough good things about this location!

I have a home office so I use this location as my business address. I have had a mailbox with them since 2003 and LOVE the service. The store is family owned and they treat you like family when you visit. My mail is always organized, packages never lost, and my shipping is quick and easy. I am in their system now so when I ship, it’s fast and painless. I also get email/​text notices when a package arrives so I don’t have to track my packages or drive there unless I have something waiting for me. One thing I REALLY love about this location is their staff. I can always count on seeing the same faces. They know my name and mailbox number so a lot of times, they pull my packages before I even get to the counter. I have used other UPS Store as I travel around the country but haven’t found one with this level of care and service.

Don’t know why they have so many negative reviews. I walked in, was nice, shipped my package, wasn’t an a-​hole and they shipped my package like any other UPS store. Sounds good to me. Methinks the hater doth protest too much.

Watch out, mark up on shipping charges! I stopped in this UPS store at 5:30 because the post office closed at 5PM. It is the holidays, so I wanted to get my package out ASAP. After the clerk weighed and measured the package, I was told it would be $ 26 to ship. The package was only 11lbs and 14×10×10 and I thought that was too high. After telling the woman no thanks, she proceeded to tell me that it would cost me $ 50 to mail it at the post office. Yeah right. I entered all my data on the USPS website and it will only cost me $ 15.95 to mail the package. WOW… and then I went to the UPS website and UPS the quote was $ 23. So, even if I preferred UPS over USPS, there is still a mark up. Good to know… consider yourself informed!

There is usually between 1 – 2 people working behind the counter working. For the most part, they are courteous but slow.
The experience I’ve had has been well so far — When no customers are in the store, they can definitely assist with copying and answering questions.
Con — Once people bring more than 2 parcels, you know you’re going to have to stand in line for at least 7 min. The people behind the counter do apologize for the long wait, but it won’t make them move any faster.

I Came to the store with my mother to have a document notarized. After waiting a good 10 minutes for the notary, she finally «helped» us. We
had one document to be notarized. The document had misspelled my
mothers last name. However, there was another document from the escrow company stating if any names were to be changed on the notarized document that the notary, along with the customer would need to inital this. After explaining this to the notary I was met with silence and a very snotty look. I asked if that was okay with her and she proceeded to tell me «she just loved it when people tried to tell her how to do her job». Whoa lady… it was definitley a weird experience. We left and will NEVER go back!

After my experience at the Ygnacio Valley location, I drove the extra distance to come to this store instead. Nothing stellar about my experience, but would choose here over the store closer to the office.
