After over a month or so of going back and forth just to make sure we got everything on the estimate. The price didn’t look right… but I was told everything was OK… it’s not that we would cheat you… all the while getting calls let’s start this pool… I told him not until I go over everything. 5 lights to light up the palm trees…$ 215 each… Concrete at $ 28 a square foot broom finish…(paving stones were at $ 10.80 sqft) The pool light Assembly at $ 500 and Pool light blub $ 500…(the assembly comes with a light blub)… And the list goes on… lots of padding the bill… Stay away…

They installed a pool at my grandfathers house and after 8 years it developed cracks. They sent it for inspection, said we would be contacted & never contacted. He followed up and they insisted it was emptied hence why it cracked and swan was very rude. We have had many pools and none have been drained or cracked. Structural warranty ha, they will find a way to screw you over with accusations.

I, too, would give less than one star, if possible based on the past 2 months of trying to get warranty work performed. I am about to take them to court, since they are not making good on the performance of contract and express warranty regarding my pool which they built and were paid in full for. I cannot recommend this business to anyone.

I wish I could give less than 1 star and I would. We contracted with them in 2007 for our pool. We have had numerous problems since then(cracks in the cement, coping falling apart, a landscape rock falling off into the pool) and now our sheer descent(waterfall) stopped working. I have called them NUMEROUS times. They always send someone out but never follow up. Not one thing has been done to fix the many problems we have had. I wish we had Unilocal prior to contracting with them! With all of the other pool contractors out there, there is no reason to ever call Swan.

What can I say about Swan Pools that hasn’t already been said. I don’t know how I ever got stuck with such a terrible pool contractor. When Swan built my pool they promised us that there would be a project manager on the job multiple times per month. As it turned out, he was never there. In fact, I had to manage the pool’s construction myself. This included trying to communicate with non-english speaking private contractors and explaining to them how I thought it was supposed to be done. Fortunately, the contractors that Swan chose were mostly very good. But they were given very poor guidance, badly drawn plans, and virtually no management. Because I worked closely with the contractors, took time off of work, we got a decent pool built. It was no thanks to Swan. I could have probably done better if I had found all the contractors myself and designed and built the pool myself. To make matters worse, our pool had a small hole in the bottom. I still owed Swan $ 350 for the entire construction and I told them I would not pay them until it was fixed. They actually sent someone out to look, agreed it needed to be fixed, but never came out. I called numerous times and never heard back from anyone. Here is the kicker… I finally DID hear back from them, it was their attorney calling me to tell me that they were taking me to collections for the $ 350! I told the Attorney that they were basically full of it and there was no way I would ever pay that $ 350 until my pool was completed to my satisfaction. They harassed me for months and months. Finally, I wrote a long letter to the owner of Swan and sent him a list of about 8 things that were not done to the plan. I told him that I was going to sue them for the thousands of dollars of unfinished or improperly completed work. I never heard from them again. They knew that if they kept trying to get their $ 350, they would be exposed for the rotten pool contractors they are. So the obvious question is why 2 stars. Well, it is a beautiful pool. And their designer, really did a nice job. Its a weak 2 stars however.

Purchased a pool from Swan in 1996 and immediately had problems with follow up and service. Now the bottom of my pools is turning brown becasue the rebar is coming through. CAlled them and after 4 calls they finall ysent someone to inspect, who said I woudl receive a report. 6 months late and several calls and NOTHING! Find another contractor… these guys are terrible.
