Joanne helped my mom sell a home that she loved, and was very hard for her to leave. At the age of 87 the house was simply too big and hard for her to keep up, so after living in it for 60 years, it was time to sell.
When we sat down with Joanne to talk about selling our home, she educated us on how today’s market works. Joanne listened to my mom’s concerns and needs, and then together we developed a marketing calendar and multi strategy plan. We came up with the best case and worse case scenario, and talked about everything in between, so by the time out house opened on the market, we were prepared for it all!
Joanne developed a plan that my mom could understand and follow throughout the selling process. Joanne’s communication was excellent from start to finish, she explained things (complicated real estate actions) to my mom so that she could understand them. Joanne’s patience and care for my mom’s needs was compassionate and professional, she was always just a phone call away, and all ways returned our calls, and e-​mails promptly.
Our house ended up to be a little tricky to sell because of the condition of a 64-​year-​old house. With Joanne’s extensive knowledge of residential construction, we did the necessary inspections and improvements to establish our pricing strategy and get it market ready. One of our biggest problems was clearing it out… a lot of stuff had accumulated over 60 years. Joanne had great contacts that helped clear the junk away, construction/​handy-​man to patch things up, and house cleaners to get it spotless for showing the house. Joanne really went the «extra mile» to help us clean out our house!
Joanne’s knowledge of current market conditions was excellent. Having lived and worked in Orinda, she has a great feel for the Orinda market, and did a perfect job in setting the sale price. Joanne sold our house quickly, we got the money we needed to take care of my mom, and the best case market scenario was met beyond our expectations.
