Having lived in several different states, I have had 20 years of finding Pilates instructors in each new location. Some were So-so, a few were outstanding. Karen is one of 3 outstanding trainers. Her knowledge of body mechanics and her combination of both traditional and contemporary Pilates combine to offer me the best possible workout and to bring my body to its maximum ability. With waning health I really need a top instructor to insure I don’t further stress myself and that I progress and maintain my skill levels. Every client receives a customized workout. Goals are adjusted as body needs and abilities change. Karen is interested in shepherding me in healthy lifestyle choices to maximize her work with me. She knows when to push and when to draw back. After an 8 hour orthopedic surgery in 2014, the physical therapists were not effective for me. The MDs could only push pain pills. Karen has brought about in me less pain, more flexibility and greater endurance.

Karen is the BEST. She really understands the human body and is amazing at identifying and working to help improve imbalances and weaknesses unique to each of her clients. Her extensive experience and great personality make every workout an informative, enlightening, and FUN experience — regardless of your physical ability or pilates experience. Additionally, Karen’s priority has always been to teach people how to care for themselves so that they can take what they learn and integrate it into a well rounded, healthy lifestyle. In other words, she wants to help you learn how to exercise and stay healthy rather than nickle and dime you for as many sessions as she can get out of you. Of course, you’ll most likely want to keep going back, because she’s just that awesome!

Karen is absolutely fantastic! I have been going to Diablo Pilates for about 8 weeks now and Karen has helped to melt away all of the tension and pain in my shoulders and back and now we are working on strengthening my back. She is patient, knowledgeable, motivating, insightful of body mechanics, and taylors each class for what my body needs work on… she has made me a believer in pilates. Thank you Karen!

Pilates is by far my favorite workout. I have had 2 back surgeries & the instructors here have worked with me to strengthen my muscle’s & become more flexible. They have modified the exercises to meet my needs & have helped to alleviate my pain. They are patient, knowledgeable and are fun to work with. If you have physical issues like me don’t wait to get healthy, start a pilates class here you won’t regret it.
