Mr Larkin helped my sister out of a very confusing and difficult situation. Mr Larkin not only was extremely considerate and very polite towards our situation, but he also was very knowledgeable on California’s laws.
When we first walked into his office, his secretary saris he was at court and would be back soon. This actually made me very happy, as he, himself, was at court and didn’t send someone else. He eventually arrived and greeted us very warmly and with a charming twinkle in his eye. He immediately put us at ease.
Mr Larkin has been a lawyer for 35 years and his experience shows. He has contacts at the DA, as well as with other lawyers in the area. He used his extensive contacts to not only help get our case dismissed but to also keep us abreast of every single step of the process. He was friends with the guy at the DA who was reviewing the case, friends with the opposition’s lawyer and knew what they were doing, which helped keep us calm throughout the entire situation.
When the bail bondsman called about wanting more to put a lien on, we told them to talk to Mr Larkin. He got them to back down as well.

I am impressed! For an attorney I haven’t given a dime to he spent half a day discussing my case with me. I am unhappy with my current attorney and came to Larkin on the referral of a friend of mine. During our discussion he was very candid and helpful, unlike many asshole attorneys who are only worried about money and won’t say a peep unless your throwing money at them. I am much more confident in Larkin’s abilities than my current attorney and am eager to have him represent me. Unfortunately, I was arrested on a DUI charge. This was a blood alcohol level right at the legal limit. After interviewing 5 attorneys I selected David Larkin. I did so because he knew the nuances of the Alameda County DMV and Courts. He knew which Judges and District Attorneys in which location would provide a fair view and listen to reason. The result was the best possible outcome, charges were totally dropped. This outcome was the result of David asking me to write up the details of the arrest interaction with the officers and to write up my background as a law abiding citizen. David used the details and specifics to make an informed plea to the DA. Charges would not have been dropped if David had not asked the District Attorney to drop the case. It took him daily follow up over a 30 day time period to catch the arrest report as it was presented to the District Attorney and to repeatedly show up at the DAs office to talk over why charges should be dropped.
He is a knowledgeable attorney who has an excellent reputation and relationship with the District Attorneys and Judges. This is what makes him worth the extra fees. I recommend him wholeheartedly.

Got me out of a DUI and jail time. Keeps you up to date w/​DMV hearings, court hearings and sends you reminders of court dates and provides receipts and copies of all paperwork that goes through him! I would definitely use him and recommended him to my friends.

Poor communicator. Told us license wouldn’t be suspended a second time after first time conviction. Got a letter in the mail notifying us a few weeks later that he had a suspended license. Drove on a suspended license for three weeks. Thank god he never got pulled over. He would’ve gone to jail! Never knew what was going on with the case as it progressed. Had to call and ask questions all the time.
