I’ll keep this simple… best Bacon, Egg, and Cheese sandwich you’ll get… but not without a price. Ironically, the price I refer to is that the actual cost of the sandwich. $ 2.50 will get you a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese sandwich that is made with at least 2 eggs, 3 strips of bacon, 2 slices of cheese, and a massive hard roll that can barely contain all of those fillings… it is breakfast perfection at a phenomenal price. The muffins are good also. Now the price I was referring to: — Tom’s is a hole in the wall owned and operated by an older gentleman who has been doing this for many years and does it by himself — Tom is not the fastest moving person in the food industry — If you’re first in line, expect to wait at least 10 minutes for your order, providing you get his attention right away — If there’s a lot of people, be sure your AM schedule is cleared — His hours are very inconsistent. One day he’ll be open, the next day closed. You really never know… — Sometimes he’s cranky, learn to deal with it… — It helps to have exact change as his money management process is very archaic and sometimes non-existent, and don’t use any coins smaller than quarters because he won’t take them — Matter of fact, just avoid coins altogether. You’ll thank me for that… Bottom line… Even considering everything above, it’s still worth it 100%. I’ve been several times and will continue going back.

My husband and his friends have raved about this place, but I didn’t have a chance to try it until my husband brought me in Oct 2014. I’ll be honest, at first, you walk in there and you think it’s the perfect setting for a scene from a horror movie. Cold air breeze coming through the door, leaves rustling in the wind, train passing by, raining. Pot of coffee purking, overhead fan whizzing, 1920 – 1930 music playing on a radio made from the same era. Haphazard string of Christmas lights lit. Salt shakers haven’t been wiped down in say a year. But can I tell you. aside and apart from all of that, Tom made us the best bacon, egg and cheese sandwich of my life. Granted, Tom must be what, in his 80s/90?! and yes it took us 45-an hour for it to be ready, but it was worth every second. I’ve since heard he’s no longer running it, he’s not feeling well? :( Rumor has it someone else is gonna take it over and(hopefully) run the joint just like Tom has. If that is really the case, I feel fortunate that I had the chance to experience this place and what an experience it was.

Simple. Owner is an old asshole who thinks you should pay 5 dollars for an egg sandwich. the menu clearly states 2.50. Then tells you next time go to mcdonalds when you put 2.50 down. He also smokes while making your food. F’ing gross. I hope he falls face first into the griddle.

BYFAR — best bacon, egg and cheese. You will never find another one like it. It’s $ 2.50 for a huge sandwich. I don’t know how the poor guy makes money. It has such an old-fashioned charm and Tom himself always cooks your food(he has to be at least 85!!). It’s a phenomenal place for breakfast. You won’t leave disappointed.

BESTBACONEGG&CHEESESANDWICHESEVER… and the most delicious muffins for that matter. Run by Tom and only Tom, this place is not just a restaurant but a second home. For less money then your typical small coffee you can have a full breakfast and great conversation. Be warned, no matter what the menu may say– breakfast sandwiches and muffins are the only food options.
